We had trouble with billing. It was prepaid and we tried to rectify this three times. This is only reason I gave four stars. Our room was immaculate, bed was extremely comfortable, and view was nice. The hot tea was a great touch in foyer. I can't say a negative thing about stay. I liked location near shopping, restaurants and a beautiful church.

My girlfriend and I stayed her for a night and it was an excellent hotel. I accidentally scheduled our booking for a week in advance so I was forced to cancel and rebook, but the hotel fully reimbursed me for the extra fees. Great rooms and atmosphere in the hotel and the staff is amazing. Overall I’d definitely call it a five star hotel!

It was an absolutely gorgeous hotel with extremely friendly staff! I really enjoyed my stay there! The rooms were very clean and probably taking care of every morning. The bathrooms were also in great condition. I felt very welcome and relax at the hotel and would come back again.

I had an overnight stay at the Sofitel for a work event and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom and comfort of the bed. The towels were quality and soft, not those hard towels that scratch the heck out of you. I had breakfast the morning in one of the meeting rooms and the croissants, eggs and chicken sausage were fresh and delicious. The kitchen staff for the meeting rooms provided outstanding service. The hotel is environmentally conscious and the service is on par. I will return.

To the staff & Management of the Sofitel Magnificent Mile,
I want to sincerely thank you for making this trip so very special for my wife and I. Upon learning I was staying for the Marathon (as a runner), you went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
The simple Gatorade, granola bar and note (the night before the race) was an excellent gesture. The shuttle bus service to the start line was outstanding. You took off so much worry of mine on race day in order for me to concentrate only on my run. I cannot thank you all enough for such a wonderful stay and I look forward to returning next year!response / report this review -

Beautiful hotel!! The room was great and the bed was so comfortable. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a perfect location for me being new to Chicago. It is right in the middle of everything with easy access to get out of the city. Highly recommend this hotel.

Was upgraded for my girlfriend's birthday to a nicer room. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. Room was clean and perfect for our 1 night stay. Great location!
Would have liked to amenities in regards to hospitality (free breakfast, complimentary cocktail or two, complimentary snacks etc) but overall a fine experience!response / report this review -

First time staying in this chain and we will definitely be staying at a Sofitel hotel again. Their customer service is extremely great, from the moment we stepped on the sidewalk of the hotel, all through the check-out point. We loved the attention of the team, they always greeted us and had a smile on their face. The check-in and check-out process were extremely smooth and we loved the way were treated. The room was well equipped, clean and very comfortable, with an unforgettable view of the city. Keep up the great work!

The service was top notch and the location is great, walking distance to Gold Coast strip, Oak Street Beach, and millennium park. There is also a Whole Foods just a few short blocks away. The lobby area was very lavish and hallways were nice and quiet. The room was super quiet, unlike many hotels where you can hear your neighbors' every word. The only negatives I had were with the room smelling a bit damp, and no real space in the fridge for necessities. Traveling with infants and/or small children make mini fridge space a necessity. Most places have the mini bar stocked, however, also have room in the fridges for personal items. That's just nit-picky. Overall, i was satisfied with my stay, and appreciate the wonderful staff here. Every single staff member was top notch!

My experience was great. I actually lost my phone which was recovered by Hotel staff. Rooms were kept tidy. Services were prompt. Breakfast staff were really good. However last day which was Saturday May 13th things were not good. I was coming back from the HRS meeting place and short on time stood at the line to get into the cafeteria. Finally ahead of me were 2 guests each one was alone. They gave there name and stood back to be called. The receptionist did the same and took the breakfast ticket from me to call me later. Few minutes later both of the persons that stood waiting were called. However for the next 10 minutes I was not called and many people who came to the line were taken care off. Realizing this I went inside trying to explain to the receptionist that I was not called. Then she told me I needed to wait a lot because the restaurant is busy. I tried to explain to her that I gave the ticket and she is serving other people ahead of me, She said that I was a Lying. Then I could not take any more that a man of my Statue and being almost like a grand father to her I insisted that I walk in and sat with a friend who has an empty chair at his table. I have never been in such a situation.
The thing that bothered me just before leaving the Hotel was that I asked to talk to the person in charge. It seems the receptionist discussed the matter with the person in charge before. Having the taxi waiting for me and having the manager being so stubborn to understand I left. As I was leaving i mentioned that I petty her on her management style and left. Perhaps I will not be in this hotel again.response / report this review -

The bed and linens couldn't have been nicer. It was a great firm bed. And a lovely bathroom with a coffee maker. The coffee was good also. Mist importantly I loved the fact that the security was a top priority. Thank you

From my arrival of the curb when I was greeted in French and my departure with help at the curb in the rain, the stay was wonderful. The view is nice. The bed was ultra comfortable. The bathroom is extremely pretty and modern. The food was exquisite. I was there with Vista Higher Learning. The dinner on Friday, Saturday morning breakfast, Saturday lunch and snacks were wonderful. The location was great. The design of the downstairs room where we had our private dinner was elegant. No complaints.

It was luxurious. Treated like a very special guest. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The food in the restaurant was beyond our expectations - so delicious and beautifully prepared. And the service was outstanding - we even had a singing waiter! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chicago at the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile. Thank you!

Wow, the warm welcome we received, after arriving late our first night, was refreshing. We were given a room on the 28th floor that made us feel so honored. The housekeeping staff was efficient and friendly! Room service was quick, delicious and extremely hospitable. The room was immaculately clean with updated decor. Linens, bed and pillows were so luxurious! We loved looking at the city, at night, through the beautiful oversized window in our room. The hotel is located in the heart of Chicago which was a perfect location for our travel plans. We loved our time here and we are grateful for our stay !
