Hotel was beautiful and clean, but check in staff was rude and dismissive. Check in time was at 4pm, and we didn't get a room until at least 5pm because apparently their policy is registration only starts at 4pm and you're not guaranteed a room at that time. I have never heard of a policy like this and we were not informed ahead of time of this policy. There were multiple other people who experienced the same thing and were waiting for hours as well for a hotel room. Not the kind of service you want when you've traveled far with a newborn and a toddler and paid for a place to stay. I would definitely not stay at this hotel again because of this experience. It's a shame because it's a beautiful hotel in a great location.

A quaint historical hotel. Rooms are small, no coffee makers in the room. My room had no waste paper basket in the bathroom. The decor was very good and modern. Breakfast was good and the restaurant offers a good variety of food and $$ as well as the bar prices. The hotel in in the middle of shopping and stores and the staff was cordial and friendly. Be prepared to wait when checking and out, it seems that that have old computers and the desk is minimally staffed.

Room and rate were great. However, the elevators were painfully slow. To add to the slowness, they were often full when they did finally arrive. The restaurant no longer provides room service and nobody answered our numerous calls. The location is great and the rooms are nice. I would recommend especially if you're looking to shop.

It was a great hotel and great location. The rooms where very small though. Everyone was very friendly. My only complaint is the elevators were slow and sometimes it took upwards of 5 min to get an elevator. They are doing work to improve those so hopefully in the future it's faster. It would also be nice if the bar were open later than midnight on the weekends.

I was here with my husband for a few nights in September. We really liked the location, it's pretty close to the Hancock building and was a mile or 2 mile walk to everywhere else we wanted to go (so if you like walking). It's historic and so slightly dated, room was sort of small but suited our needs. Breakfast buffet was good!

Nice classic hotel. Great location. Elevators are super slow, but they are being modernized. No restaurant or good bar, but the area is filled with them so not a big deal. We've come here 2 years in a row and would definitely go back.

Was interviewing at Northwestern Medical Center and location was very close and convenient to Hospitals. Was upgraded form a queen to queen suite. Rooms were clean and well situated, but had small bathrooms and dusty curtains (the latter unfortunately set off some allergies). Service was excellent, but front desk failed to warn guests that the morning traffic for the elevator can be quite severe and that it may take 5-10min for an elevator to arrive to take you downstairs. Overall, it was a very good hotel with great service that provided for a comfortable experience.

I will start my review with two facts: I am a frequent traveler as well as an independent hotelier.

My boyfriend booked a standard room to celebrate my birthday with a visit to Chicago, and I could not have been more pleased. It's not a 5-star hotel, so 5-star attentiveness should not be expected; the other negative reviews give me the impression those guests are simply ill-informed or demand way too much for the price point.

    Highlights:
The bartender (Mark? I can't remember, but he has a ponytail) was phenomenal, as are the signature cocktails.

Staff member, Tammy, could be seen throughout the premises and was always friendly.

All of the staff, as a matter of fact, were friendly and happy to help with questions. (I had a lot of them.)

The location is perfect - near all of the restaurants and shops the Magnificent Mile has to offer.

    In summary:
Yes, this is an old, historic building; the elevators are slow, and rooms are small, but if you're out enjoying the Chicago during the day, you will not want for much. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was updated and the entire space was clean.

It was a one night stay, so we barely were in the room except to sleep. The room was on the small side but it fit our budget. I will say the bed was surprisingly short, and I'm only 5'2", so that's saying something. The rooms were clean and had a vintage/modern vibe. Our room was facing Michigan Ave, so perfect location for our needs. Overall it was a great place to sleep and I'd chose it again.

We stayed in an executive King room during the week. The room was larger than I expected from the reviews I had read. It was clean, comfortable, and I would come back. The receptionist was accommodating and polite. They had no problem getting me a refrigerator in my room, since I am a nursing mother and needed somewhere to store milk. It was perfectly located in the heart of all we wanted to see.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

The location is great, right on the Magnificent Mile and within walking distance of many attractions and the trains for further out locations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had decent views. Room was modern. And I liked there green initiatives. Note though - while room and bathroom I chose were good sized to me, I imagine a couple, a larger person, or possibly elderly person might have a touch of difficulty

We entered on the ground floor and had a little confusion as to where to go since no one was down there at the moment to instruct us. After check in, everything was great. We had to ask for an extra towel and room service menu and the service was prompt. Room service was delightful when we had a craving around 9:30-10p (service ends at 11p). Great and convenient location. Friendly staff. All around delightful!

Very nice experience. Staff was welcoming and accomdating. Room was nice, clean, and larger than I expected after reading others reviews. We were next to the elevator which was a little noisy but I sleep to a white noise app on my phone anyway so it was fine. Concierge was very nice and helped us book some massages nearby. Overall, it was a nice experience and would stay at the Warwick again.
