Attended a holiday party in the STK steakhouse. It was a lovely party. The staff was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms needed to be restocked faster but other than that is was great.

I only had an OK experience here. First off, I walk into a pretty outdated room for the pretty penny we paid for. Second off, the room gave my dogs fleas, and as a pet friendly hotel I was very upset. Third, the pool area is really small and drinks and food are very expensive. Another thing was parking. $40 a day? I mean, I get it, your limited on space, but 40 Dollars ought to be a bit much, right? And finally, food was mediocre at best. I would much rather stay somewhere else that fits my (and my wallet's) needs better

I primarily only stay at SPG hotels and oftentimes at W hotels. This is one of the worst hotel experiences.
1- My room smells like vomit. From the moment I walked in yesterday and it's just as potent this next morning. I've never smelled anything as horrendous (but they "we're fully booked")
2- there is no soap in either the shower or bathroom sink
3- the room and bathroom are particularly clean (residue on the sink area and desk area)
4- the concierge staff, one woman in particular, were not particularly nice
I would never stay nor recommend this hotel to anyone. Too many better options in this area.response / report this review -

It's a nice hotel. Have stayed here multiple times. Rooms are luxurious but not modern. Location is great. Service is good. Staff is courteous. Will stay again.

Great rooms, with a small boutique feel. If you need to get away for a night or two it's a great place. STK steakhouse is not good, so find another place to eat.

I used a Visa Rewards credit card and they didn't know until I told them I did. They didn't really know anything about the rewards. It was the only reason I booked my stay there. When I checked out I was informed the free breakfast couldn't be used via room service. Sounds like they are going to try and remedy that but not sure yet. Regardless, the staff are very nice and not always the type at a hotel like this so I appreciate that. Would stay again but worth noting what I did.

Paid a suite room 300 usd - room is good. Went down to the Steak restaurant. really disappointing for the high price. My steak was over cooked and the French fries were disgusting. Service was really average. And when coming back to my room, it smelled weed. Not that I don't like the smell but it is to a point where it is too much and almost unbearable. Seriously, spending that kind of money in this hotel is a waste of your money. Cheers, Chris

Fascinating history behind this W. They have created a beautiful space within LA with gorgeous use of architectural elements. We had drinks at the hideout - a great way of describing the venue. Gorgeous waterfall stairways. I enjoyed the staff a lot. Very welcoming.response / report this review -

Excellent service by the staff providing lunch. Our service during the meeting was excellent, kind, and the staff was happy. I really enjoyed the whole experience during the day. The bar staff was professional and responsive.

Fascinating history behind this W. They have created a beautiful space within LA with gorgeous use of architectural elements. We had drinks at the hideout - a great way of describing the venue. Gorgeous waterfall stairways. I enjoyed the staff a lot. Very welcoming.

It was a good start at the W. It is right next to UCLA campus and about 15m to Santa Monica beach, so location is great. Service was good, but not excellent, it took the bell boy 25m and to phone calls to bring up our luggage. Staff was friendly. The is a great bar and patio, gets busy on weekend nights. Smallish pool, but plenty of sitting area and cabanas.

Do not go to this horrible spa. I planned a birthday surprise for my daughter and 3 hrs before treatment for both of us they call and cancel. Imagine, plus they called 4 times during the week and Aria the manager switched our treatments and times. I was nice and changed my plans to suite them. Now 3 hours before our treatments we have nothing. Unfair and rude. Didn't even offer a treatment in the future for their shocking cancellations. Nothing except sorry with no remorse. Don't go there. Please. Prove we have a say once harmed with bad service.

I had one of the greatest experience conducting a large seminar at this hotel. Their Banquets team were fantastic. The event coordinator Phirum is the reason I would go back there again and again. She went above and beyond her job responsibilities to make sure everything goes super smooth with our event. She was very engaged, hands on and supportive. I couldn't ask for anything moreOne of the BEST services I have ever received. I highly recommend this hotel for any large business conferences, meetings or seminars.
