Very clean friendly staff. Don't rely on wake up calls. Entrance to parking garage is a bit confusing due to the fact you have to enter the freeway on ramp and and then quickly turn right. Would recommend. Also there are very good restaurants within walking distance.

Room was actually outside. View was of busy street and gas station. Saw a bug on the bed that made me worry about bed bugs. It had a bad, stale smell. The fire alarm went off at about 12 am and took a long time to turn off.

The location is great, considering it's near loads of good Japanese food places. That makes me a little bias. Rooms are a bit small, but I didnt spend much time in my room so I didn't mind.

After arriving pretty late I was initially put of by the appearance of the surrounding area and the proximity to the freeway. I was wrong. It isn't the most modern Holiday Inn Express but it appears to be very well ran. Every encounter with staff was great and my room was clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again.

The building was very old but the room was kept clean. Having a big TV, fridge and high end coffee machine was a big plus.

The only catch is they charge extra $15 for parking which they don't specify on the website.

If you are familiar of Holiday Inn Express, this is not the one.

Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. Good area if you want to be able to walk to your night life.
The parking lot is obnoxious to turn into and out of. The most irritating aspect being finding the entrance to the lot the first time; since it is on a side street (Beloit) that is also an on ramp. The proximity to the 405 is a mixed blessing at best. Lots of traffic noise if you are on the road or freeway side of the building.

I am not a big city person nor I have much experience in big cities, LA traffic was horrible and it was very nice to have the holiday inn front desk personnel at the Santa Monica Blvd to be so nice and helpful. A young man called Austin was very informative and provided me great tips and good recommendations for food and shopping around the area. It was nice of him to take his time. Very hospitable people that work in the hotel as well. It is always nice to have a friendly person to greet you after so many hours of traffic from San Diego to LA. This hotel is nearby all of the fun things to do and not that expensive as others in LA.
