Although the course is not quite ready there is a LOT of work going into improving it. Views are stunning
Most excellent place for lunch. Can't beat the place for the view!
Total redue of an old course. New clubhouse will look outstanding when complete. They have some new holes so it will take some time to mature. I would go back to see the progress of the course.
Terrible experience. Will not go back. Tried to enter zero stars and it won't let me. Sand was being added on third hole as we were playing. finding a distance to green was always a challenge. When we came in they said they had an app for that, but round was over would have been nice to know that before teeing off. No GPS on the carts, although cheaper courses, just as nice or nicer had that option. Cart girl obviously didn't want to be there, and then on the back nine.. she wasn't. A lot of money for a temporary club house and a poor golfing experience.
This course and Troon North are my favorite courses in the Scottsdale area
This is one of my favorite golf courses. Beautiful high desert and views. The area is about 10 degrees cooler during the summer so it is a great option for summer golf, as well.
Tegavah, formerly known as Vista Verde, is an amazing course. It is truly a gem of a course in the middle of the beautiful AZ desert with amazing views of 4 Peaks and surrounding areas. I love playing this course. the fairways are in great shape and the greens are even better! They roll pretty quick which is why some people may have written a review about the greens not being taken care of and are "hard." They are not. They are in great shape and like most nicer courses in the valley, the greens roll really well and are a challenge to play. Anyone who writes otherwise does not know what they are talking about and are most likely the "weekend warrior" golfer.
Vista Verde is being renovated. Not the course, but there was never a club house or anything around the course until they decided to undergo a branding change and call themselves Tegavah. My dad was actually hired by them to work on the rebranding, logo change, etc. That is the only reason I know about this course, and have played it a handful of times. Big things are coming to this golf course. A huge clubhouse is in the works and the design is awesome. This is going to be a very sought after golf course in the coming years. Even without the clubhouse though, if you don't need to be pampered while playing a round of golf and you are just looking to play an amazing course for the time being, Tegavah is DEFINITELY worth the drive. Highly recommend it!
We just played Tegavah two times last week and absolutely thought the course was in great shape. The greens are quite quick but true. What made the corse so, nice is that there are no homes on the course so, your views are absolutely beautiful.
