The incredible tour of this incredible place brought alive the work and life of Frank Lloyd Wright. What makes this place even more special is that it is a living breathing place of work where you can sit on the furniture and peruse through the books. A must visit if you are in the Phoenix area.

My brother & niece from Florida and I toured on Sunday 8/20/17 and it was wonderful. Our guide Marla was so knowledgeable and she also shared some stories about the property. I loved it and my family enjoyed it also. It was almost like stepping back in time. Frank Lloyd Wright was definitely a man before his time.

The grounds are lovely and have quite the view! Our tour guide was very interesting and had amazing presentation skills! She really made the history come alive as if Mr. Frank Lloyd Wright was standing with us! I really liked the Asian Inspirations and the fire breathing dragon! Nice gift shop too!

Taliesin West is by far one of the most immersive tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright works. He pulled out all the stops for his home away from home/architectural school. Special highlights include being able to actually sit in the furniture of his living room, the expansive view and an interesting insight into his ability to use nature to his advantage. Here he designed rooms and the lighting based on positions of the sun during certain times of day.
I haven't been to tons of his places but this certainly will remain one of the highlights.response / report this review -

Really well worth visiting and taking a tour. Even if you are not an architect geek and into FLW, you really get to appreciate the age of the place and how much of a forward thinker he was. It is a bit pricey but the tours are substantial. You will do some walking - if you have issues with walking, this might not be for you. But I've been here a few times now and never disappointed with a visit.

Our guide, Paula, was animated and informative. Encourage you to book the 9 a.m. tour before it gets too hot. If you forgot a hat, the center has umbrellas to borrow to protect you from the sun. Part of the tour is outside and part is inside. Highly recommended!

Tours are not cheap but can be found for cheaper than on site if you buy them ahead of time. Despite the price, they are entertaining and educational. Definitely worth a visit.

It's really amazing to see what Frank Lloyd Wright created with very little since he was broke when he arrived here. I loved all the natural materials incorporated in comparison to the plastic "perfection" we surround ourselves with today. The style still feels undoubtedly modern, but it also has a lot of rough edges. I didn't care for all the focus on "sitting" on the tour, but I guess that's what a lot of people want. I don't care about sitting in a chair. Also, the guide's manner of speaking was kind of difficult to follow. She struggled at times for the right words and most of the time talked 90 miles an hour. She also assumed that information was known about FLW by the group that I feel sure many people (including myself) did not know. Still a 5 star tour. It's fantastic that they let you enter these spaces and that they are still part of a living, breathing school. A real treasure!

So unique and beautiful. Tours are fun, informative and well worth the time and expense! I booked mine a month in advance online. They were sold out for a week ahead when I arrived.

Fabulous tour even if you are not yet a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright's work. The tour is fairly pricey, but very much worth it. We took the 1.5 hour tour, and our guide stretched it an extra 15 minutes, which was great. Can't say enough about our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged questions and dialogue. I'd take one of the other tours offered there in a heartbeat.

Frank Lloyd Wright, world renowned architect, spent summers at Taliesin West with students (apprentices) training in the discipline of architecture. Fascinating. The program is still in effect. The 1 1/2 hours tour is comprehensive about the works and training of the Wright apprentices.
