As a former NYer, I was sceptical about the great reviews but Trombino's and the wait staff delivered. Hosted a company party here and had a wide array of dishes. The lobster ravioli was amazing. They put together a great menu and their desserts were not an after thought either. Excrement service from start to finish with friendly engaging staff. You will not be disappointed.

This place was highly recommended to me. I read the reviews about it having great service and great food. I sat for 20 minutes with several waiters and waitresses walking past me. None of them stopped to ask if wanted anything to drink, eat, or if I had even been helped. I had to get up and ask for someone to help me. The waitress that helped me was very nice and thankfully the food was very good. The restaurant was semi-busy but a couple sat down at the opposite end of me and were immediately helped so that is the only reason I gave his review. I would have gave it only one star except that the food was really good.

TROMBINO’S BISTRO ITALIANO is a long-time neighborhood favorite serving classic Italian cuisine. It’s an always-busy restaurant and bar conveniently located on Academy Road near San Mateo Blvd., specializing in delicious home-made pasta dishes plus a full range of antipasti, soups, salads, steaks and sausages, veal, chicken and seafood dishes, and of course yummy desserts. Tonight we started with a delightful Sicilian Calamari appetizer of lightly battered calamari, pepperoncini, artichoke hearts, with capers and tomatoes in a garlic aioli and marinara sauce – which we devoured ravenously quickly because it was so absolutely delicious! For entrees, I ordered Fruitti Di Mare with clams, shrimp, scallops and mussels in white wine and garlic with tomatoes over linguine. My wife ordered tonight’s special of Giant Shrimp Spedini in anchovy sauce over wild rice. Both dishes were absolutely mouth-watering and fantastic! Our very personable and energetic waitress Annamarie was constantly attentive to our needs and really efficient in bringing and clearing all our plates. Prices for our meal were very reasonable for such high quality and super service. Once again, Trombino’s demonstrated why it’s been around for nearly 35 years.

This wonderful restaurant is a few minutes from my home. My boyfriend who is Italian loves this place, so that says a lot! The staff is always attentive and friendly. Love the atmosphere. Love sitting in the restaurant more than the bar area. I do with they were open for lunch.

Been twice and both visits were awesome. Service first time was spot on but the visit tonight it took quite a while to get our food. But the food was first rate both times. Well worth the wait this time but the rating would've been 5 stars otherwise. Pricey but definitely worth it!

Great service with a relaxed environment. The calamari was amazing. I had their signature shrimp dish in spicy sauce which also was delectable. Enjoy your treat by bringing the family here for a value driven quality food experience.

Great place for a romantic birthday dinner. A little pricey, but worth it. The Lobster Ravioli is our favorite in all of Abq. The Clam pasta was also amazing, a little too many noodles for the small amount of sauce. But the host staff was extremely professional and welcoming and the server was busy, but still efficient. Provided and extremely positive dinning experience and can't wait to come back to try out more of their DELIGHTFUL menu!!!

Great Italian style food with a very posh dining area. The wine selections are excellent and well matched to the entrees. The menu has not changed much in the post few years, and that is not a problem since all of their dishes are fantastic.

Reservations are almost always required, since this place fills up quickly. Many of their specials will sell out early in the night.

This place is one of the best in Albuquerque for Italian. I know of one other place that is better. Trombinos has Traditional Italian Food and some other eats that are original and flavorful. The price is a little steep but they make up for it in quantity. There are no good non-chain Italian restaurants on the west side except for one that is pricey and you get little for your money. Trombinos is the healthy medium that gets you the best bang for your buck with quality 300% better than chain Italian restaurants. I drive from the west side at least once a month for this treat. I highly recommend this place and I don't normally do that for Italian.
