Best food we had on our entire trip to New Mexico. Can't go wrong? Anything you get will be great. Go ahead and buy the picture of margaritas you won't regret it.

This is the perfect place to find the book you didn't even know you were looking for and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Also try one of their incredible baked goods. Their famous "Break-Up Cookie" will change your life!

This was my first and ONLY visit. I called on Monday to make Friday night reservations for a group of friends as part of the annual old town shop and stroll. They told me they couldn't accommodate my group of 12 at the requested time of seven but that they could do it at 7:30. I was ok with this and was able to set the reservation. When we Arrived on Friday night. The hostess seemed frazzled and was taking other people first who did not have a reservation. Another employee in a black coat and red shirt came up to the host podium and looked at the reservation list for a moment before tossing it down and exclaiming that he didn't know what he was doing and running off behind the cashiers counter. At this point I had been waiting for 30 minutes. When the hostess finally returned I informed her that I had a reservation and she located it and then proceeded to tell me that she didn't know how long we would have to wait and that a reservation of that size should not have been accepted for Friday night. I received my buzzer and immediately went to contact another restaurant who was more than able to accommodate our party on short notice. Needless to say this experience is one i will never come back for.

Great atmosphere, wonderful food and live music in the evening! Looks small from the front but opens up to an amazing great room and patio.highly recommend if you are in Old Town! We usually take/recommend to our out of town friends and they always enjoy it. No full bar but you can get wine/beer and they have a decent drink selection. The food is always good and you can't beat the outdoor patio in the Spring, Summer, Fall months!

We were in Old Town Albuquerque and visited Church Street Café for lunch. Our first impression was the historic 1706 architecture and delightfully warm family-style ambience. Then we discovered the beautiful and romantic outdoor garden setting. We ordered the CHURCH STREET HAM SANDWICH and the SENIOR REUBEN SANDWICH. The ham sandwich with cheese was really delicious and quickly devoured, and the Ruben with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut was super tasty and delicious as well. Our waiter Antonio was constantly attentive, very personable, and even gave us brochures describing the remarkable history of the restaurant building. Prices were very reasonable. Parking in Old Town was a bit tricky, but we got lucky. We will definitely return to this charming historic restaurant.

My wife and I had lunch during Balloon Fiesta on a SATURDAY. We had to wait for an hour. While waiting, we strolled around the plaza. The wait was worth it. I had the Southwestern grilled chicken salad. All ingredients were fresh, and the chicken was grilled perfectly. My wife had casadillas. They were filled with very generous portions of cheese and tender grilled steak. We would definitely go back!

Was here todayso excited to try the food,but ended up leaving without eating! I'm sure is food is good, but our waitress was awful. Left us sitting at the table with no chips and salsa or drink refills for an hour, and I totally understand that it's busy and takes time but she did nothing to make our experience any better.So we returned today to try the food & it was delicious! Much better service as well. If your in NM stop in and try the foodyou won't be disappointed😀

Great ambiance, historic feel. We sat in the back patio and had a nice lunch. The unsweetened mango iced tea was delicious and went well with our salads. We passed through a smaller dining area with dark woods and had an older feel. There is a larger high ceiling dining room with a fireplace.

Poor food poor service rich prices. If you like good food at good prices go somewhere else. If you like gruff service with expensive average food then you have found the right place. After eating here we found a less touristy restaurant in a nice nook by the museum they had amazing street tacos at great prices with friendly service.

My husbands food was spicy and tasteful. He got enchiladas. I however got tacos and everytjing was bland :/. The meat tasted unseasoned. My rice was hard and dry and also had no seasoning.Also our waitress appeared to be having a bad day and was just plain rude.

One of my favorite places to eat in Old Town, the Church Street Cafe is more than a coffee shop. They serve first class Mexican food and provide a cozy southwestern ambiance all the while. Their excellent wait staff knows what they're doing, too.

Although after reading several reviews on this site, it looks like service is a gamble, this is still my favorite New Mexican restaurant and a must-visit when I bring friends to Old Town. The design of the restaurant is unique, with a clumsy but extremely charming layout stretching through multiple rooms of a very old Spanish manor. If possible, however, ask to be seated on the back patio. In winter they run a roaring fire, and some of the adobe walls are peeling back to reveal the original construction. The menu gives a wonderful overview of the history of the house, don't let your waiter take it until you have gotten to peruse the entire thing. I have yet to find an order that was disappointing, so far I've enjoyed the tamales, the enchiladas, the chili rellenos, and the green chili stew.

Worst waitress in a long time. Rude. Could not have the bar make us a skinny margarita which is only tequila, lime juice, syrup and ice. They had all the ingredients, she was too lazy to ask. Made herself invisible for most of our dinner. Water ran out. Had to almost beg for a second beer since we couldn't have our drink of choice. Brought the bill before desert. I think she was on a prison work release program. Good luck honey.

EXCELLENT! The best tamales I have EVER had, bar NONE. They were HOT, with the red chili sauce. LOVED them. The rice was also good and spicy. Beans were just kind of ordinary, but I didn't mind.
