I wish I could have had the option of giving Zero stars. This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. We were having some work done at our home so we just needed a cheap room for a few days. I realize it was cheap but here is our nightmarish story. We had three rooms. The first two rooms had bugs. Both were extremely dirty and smelled. Room 3 was bigger that is the best thing I can say the room smelled like weed. Haven't seen a bug yet but probably will. The air conditioner sucked. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will be glad when I can go home. This place is dirty and disgusting
New owner doesn't care about this property or his guests. I lived here for a year and had numerous problems with the cleanliness of the room and what they offered.
Place really went to hell when they changed managers and got rid of the loyal employees to make room for some Idiot who thinks the place is the Ritz Carleton.
They refuse to give sheets and towels and toilet paper to their weekly guests when it is required of them according to the contract they make you sign.
Really really old and run down and nothing but prostitutes and drug dealers. Manager and that old scary front desk clerk probably makes extra money off all those women!
ONE OF THE WORST HOTELS IN THE LATHAM AREA!!
When I was their the room kepper banew tells every one your busines and the maintenance man is a sexoffender so be carful if u have kids and keep them away from him
The staff was very nice and had us checked in and out quickly. The room itself wasn't too bad for what we paid, but there were visible marks in the walls where bigger headboards were. The bathroom was clean, so it fit my standards.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!! Such lovely pictures shown in advertisement, but what a shock, when you get there! My husband and I aren't picky travelers. We would just like a room that is clean, with a comfortable bed. The rug in our room definitely needed to be replaced. We went to sit in the chair in our room, and the leg fell off. After a long day of traveling, we were in great need of a good nights rest. However, our bed literally was like two mountains on the edges of the bed, with a deep valley in the center. This is no exaggeration. We literally had to sleep at the very edges of the bed, in order to not fall into, this tremendous valley, in the center of the bed. We explained our problem to the front desk, and asked if another bed could be brought in. We were told that there were no extra beds, and no other room available. We will NEVER STAY in this place again, or recommend it to anyone else!!!
Stayed here weekend of April 25/26, this is my horror story with this hotel. Note that my expectations were not high given the $70 / night rate but.
Checked in around 5:30pm, went to room, dropped of luggage, cleaned up, and then left for evening
Came back around 10pm and key did not open door to room. Went to front desk and they told me they had to GIVE ROOM TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER!! After I got over my shock I told them that I already had my luggage in the room and already used the bathroom, etc but they still persisted to explain to me that the other customer needed an extra bed so they have to move me. Finally, exhausted from the long day I just asked for the new room key and the key to the old room to get my luggage, which they provided.
The new room was a suite which they gave me as free upgrade for my troubles. The room smelled terrible. When I checked out the room it had food in the refrigerator from the previous customer, part of the smell problem. The shower was under construction, there was a hole in the wall where the faucet handles were supposed to be. The chair in the room had a spray bottle on it that had spilled liquid all over the chair and the extra sheets were tossed in a unfolded pile on the floor in one of the closest. I have pictures of all this. There was no way I was moving to this room.
I proceed to get my luggage out of my original room, opened the door and found out that there was luggage in the room from the other customer already. They apparently thought it was ok to let them in before I was able to "check out" of the room. My luggage had been moved and opened. I was also shocked that they knowingly gave me a key to a room that someone else was already in, what if they were already sleeping?? I also could have taken their stuff just as well as them taking mine.
I collected my luggage, did quick check to make sure I did not see anything missing and went back to the front desk. Worn out from the day and this adventure I just asked for their cleanest room with two double beds --- what I asked for with my original reservation.
Needless to say I am not staying at a Travelodge ever again.
