I really liked this place, the staff was nice, the rooms were good and the breakfast was good. It has a denny's attached to it with a bar so that was fun. The pool was nice and they have a little store here. I ended up leaving my prescription sunglasses in my room and their shuttle driver brought them to me at the airport on his next round, I was so thankful!
Friendly staff. Overall it was very clean for a 1950's hotel. Good place to spend a night if you have a flight the next morning. But it's definitely in a rougher neighbourhood. Lots of homeless people around. Not a whole lot of restaurants within walking distance (But there are several within driving distance) Not sure I would want to spend more than one night here with family and young kids, etc..
We stayed here after meeting up in LA. The hotel is close to the airport and has a shuttle service. the staff are friendly and really helpful. Decent sized pool. The rooms aren't flash, but clean and tidy. Would definitely stay here again!
Very nice hotel for the relative price of other locations around the area, will likely be booking here once again the second time around that I come visit.
They offer a free shuttle to the airport which I did not personally use during my stay so I can't comment on that.
Rooms are clean, well mantained and even though they lack a bathtub to lay in and relax after some travelling, the complimentary coffee makes up for it in my eyes at least.
Nice and quiet location as well despite it being relatively close to the airport.
Front staff friendly and good room size. The hotel is clean and presents well inside (pool and gardens are well kept) from others comments about road noise - by sheer luck I was in the back area of the hotel well away from the front and side streets so found the stay very quiet Breakfast is basic but good and staff are friendly. Great place to stay close to LAX but nothing worth walking to see nearby (in fact a little risky to walk around) The hotel however appears safe. The buildings need a little maintenance but appropriate for the price.
Usually I do not take the time to write a review unless I feel it is necessary. Just to give you a heads up, the rooms are expensive. Around $165 and night. On top of that front staff is pretty rude. Not friendly at all three clerks were up front. One clerk was waiting on a customer. The other two-thirds were sitting in their chairs completely ignoring me while I stood in line. I was the only person in line just so you understand they could have taken care of me quickly. When I got to the counter very rude and dry. It's up to you. You can get the rooms if you want to but just letting you know my experience. Also it is like walking through a maze to try to figure out where your room is. Have fun with that. Probably better staying somewhere else close to the airport.
Very pleasantly surprised! It was clean and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Gorgeous greenery and flowers. Pool was huge and very well maintained. I would absolutely recommend it and would stay there again!
Day room when heading out of LAX late. Just under $100 all in. The bus does a loop of the airport twice an hour for drop off and pick up. Room was fine for 9 hours but I was out a lot. Pool looked nice.
We did the day stay option. This hotel was just what we needed after a long flight from Australia. My only problem was that the airport staff told me $88, and the hotel charged $95. But, that is more the airport staff member's fault. The rooms were simple but clean. They provided free coffee and nice hot showers. The curtains did well to block out most of the light so we could take a nap and recharge. My wife lost her phone on the shuttle. When we told the reception staff, they were able to recover it within the hour, which we were super grateful for. The shuttle to and from the airport made it a smooth, convenient ride. So glad to have stayed here!
The staff is very professional and nice. The grounds are very well kept. Security is present and prompt they walk the property all day and night. The workers work very hard to keep the property nice and neat. This is my wife and I favorite place to stay, when ever we come to Los Angeles. They also have a excellent kitchen staff serving breakfast every morning. Please don't overlook THE TRAVEL LODGE on Century by LAX Airport
Location was pretty good. Free shuttle was provided every 30 mins from this hotel. It took only 10mins to get to LAX in early morning. Our room (1 King size bed) seemed a bit old but had enough room for 2 guests. Staffs responded us quickly and seemed nice. However, I would mention that they didn't provide enough amenities like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrush. We needed to pick them up at lobby.
Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. Even observing a staff member assisting a guest who was dissatified; the utmost professionalism was maintained.
The rooms were large, clean and well appointed. The hotel gardens were beautiful and added a nice atmosphere to grounds.
They held my bicycle and panniers, after I checked out, while I went to conduct other business.
10 out 10 and a koala stamp.
Would give four stars if it weren't for housekeeping rapping on door at noon despite me arranging for late checkout at font desk, calling housekeeping for them to come at 1 and hanging do not disturb on door. My son was sick and our flight had been cancelled night before so we were trying to sleep before heading back to airport. First floor rooms near pool feel very not private as guests leave curtains open, so ask for different area if you wanna feel more private
Good airport hotel with free shuttle. Front office staff can be a hot and miss. The hotel is quite big and had two floors. There is no lift, so if you have heavy luggage, all for ground floor. There is a small shop, ice machines and water coolers around the hotel. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Shuttle rooms every 30 minutes to the airport. There is a Danny's in the same premises and a Carl's Junior across the road.
Stayed at this hotel for about five hours using their day room rate. It was a great value and worth every penny to have a nice room to sleep and shower in after a long international flight during our 8 hour layover. The room was a bit dated, but only in the decor. Otherwise it was well kept up and clean. The fan has the option to run loud enough to function as white noise to cover up noise from planes taking off which was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
