Overall, I was impressed with the hotel. I took one star off, because our room was in the back and was perhaps 50 feet from Highway 101. There was a LOT of road noise. Other rooms are much better. There is a $15 a day charge for parking. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Good staff. The service at the Starbucks inside was rather slow and I'm not a fan of their coffee.
This is a pretty decent hotel. The location is its advantage - the Commons located right across the street. The hotel itself is a bit old but has been renovated with contemporary style. Can't complain
Rooms Spacey and nice. Clean. Just be careful if are booking through a site other than theirs. The site charged my credit card. When I arrived at hotel some guy who obviously had zero clue about anything, charged my card again. Including the 50 per night for incidentals in full. Then next morning charged card again. So needless to say they have tied up over $1,000 of my bank account. Very doubtful if I'd stay again or even recommend. When I talked to the lady she assured me I had comp parking which was also charged. The guy is very argutive and wants to talk over you because apparently he knows everything
Travel to area for work, stay here each time. Nice big comfy rooms, nice little bar area with a decent 'happy hour' menu considering they have a small kitchen. Sometimes they have a guitar player in the lobby. The Starbucks is super convient for your quick coffee and muffin in the morning. However, the best part is the staff! love, love, love Adriana and Juan at the bar/restaurant. They both are super friendly, funny, talkative but polite, and beyond accommodating. It's always nice to have a a personable bartender when you're traveling alone. The front desk staff is always helpful as well. It's definitely a 'boutique' type of hotel, nothing super luxurious but it's more than nice and clean. For a business trip or a quick stay this is a perfect option. I always enjoy my stay. Thanks!
What a great place! The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms were spacious and immaculate, conveniently located and walking distance from shopping and great restaurants, great pool with cabanas and towelsa very good experience at a very reasonable rate!
Nice spot! Great looking rooms. I had the two queen bed room, very clean/slick look! They have a small lobby with nice narrow lounge (photo below/above) and also nice mini cafe featuring Starbucks coffee and Espresso.
Nice rooms, remodel furniture. Great location, actually you couldn't have a better location at Calabasas. Nice restaurants and views surrounding this hotel. Also the price seems to be very fear.
Rooms are nice and the entire hotel has been renovated. Nice finishes and decor throughout. Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Just minutes from the beach and close to the greater Los Angeles area
I only hung around the lobby. The hotel offers umbrellas to guests, which is really good of them. The hotel is next to The Commons, which is a plus considering the things to do there and the variety of restaurants to choose from. However, the hotel is in close proximity to the 101 freeway, so a little noise might be expected.
I travel to Calabasas for work several times a year, and my company has a corporate account with the Anza. Everyone at the hotel is extraordinary helpful and friendly. Henri is one of our main contacts and he's the greatest! Desiree in Sales is fantastic, as well. I always enjoy my stays here.
Beautiful and comfortable! I'm not sure I've ever slept on such a comfortable mattress! Cafe and room service menus looked great, though we never ate there. Tricky to get in and out of the parking lot.
