The service was quick and the food good as always but a little cooler than I like. Would have been better if a little warmer. The new fried sweet potato pie was very good with a lot of filling.

Very-good fast-food. Bacon cheeseburger had great flavor and texture with a good bun, cheese, and bacon. Onion rings were well done in beer-battered style. Frosted Orange drink tasted like a blended orangesicle Really good. Highly recommend a visit.

This is a fun place to eat. Hotdogs and hamburgers are happy foods, add onion rings or french fries along with a Coke product drink for a meal. They have multiple dining areas, sponsored by Atlanta's many cable networks. The have ice cream for desert, and cool hats to wear. All round fun!

Look, you better check out The Varsity. Ignore the reviews about cleanliness, this place is much cleaner than the average diner. This is unlike any diner I've ever been to, and I've been to some diners. First off, the sheer size of this place is unbelievable. There are "TV rooms" where one channel is always shown I'm sitting in the ESPN room. Hilarious. There is a sign that says "No outside food except cakes" You can't write this. I got a bacon cheeseburger and a "heavy dog", which is a chili cheese dog. They both looked disgusting. However, they tasted great and I can see how someone can get hooked on this place. Seriously, it's clean, don't worry about that.

I've only been to the Varsity once and it was an interesting experience. This location is massive and holds a ton of people. They also have a huge counter that can serve probably 50 people at once. I came in the evening but service was extremely slow. It took 3 people about 15 minutes to get food and find a seat. The inside of this location is not clean and the food is mediocre. Not my favorite dining experience.

During my first visit to Atlanta, I ate here by chance. Liked it so good that when we returned to Atlanta, we visited again. So imagine my disappointment when I read in my local paper, that this establishment threatened to sue a very small local establishment over a similar name, not even the same name-two states away at that! I didn't like what I read happened at all and won't return. Why would you all do such a thing? Over positive reviews? Just mean.

Came here to eat for the first time, today. Ate a number three bacon burger with cheese it was very authentic the fries were hand-cut and the onion rings were very crispy. And that peach sweet tea was so good! Peach pie was the best hand pie I ever ate. It was warm and crispy. The crust was very flaky.

I’ve been a few times, and each time the visit has been pretty consistent. The staff doesn’t seem to have any sense of organization, let alone customer service skills. Pretty much they act forced to take your order (or maybe I’ve just had bad luck with the cashiers). Either way, the food is mediocre at best, have lived in Atlanta for a pretty long while and still not really sure what the hype about this place is.

What'll you have? Music to my ears and countless other people's ears. The Varsity is full of atmosphere and good, quick casual food. It is an Atlanta tradition. If you haven't visited the Varsity, you are missing a great experience. You can eat hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, onion rings, French fries, orange drinks, and other soft drinks, ice cream, friend piesgoodbye, I've got to go For some reason I've got a craving for a dog, fries and rings with an orange - oh, they have their own lingo.

Iconic Atlanta restaurant, but I haven't a clue why. I had a #2 which was a hotdog, a cheeseburger, and onion rings. The food wasn't particularly good and service wasn't especially friendly. The best thing about the visit was the plentiful parking on a Sunday evening. If you want an iconic Atlanta burger that's worth the money go to the Vortex in Little Three Points.

This place is massive with multiple different large seating areas and has a crazy number of ordering lines. Even during the peak time of Saturday at lunch they got our food out quickly and it was really good. The burger and chili cheese dog were both great. A fun experience.

One of the top well known burger joints in Atlanta its a must go to eat location. This place gets packed on the weekends with long lines. Even though they have ample parking available most people park in the entrance lot which gets full quickly. They are famous for there burgers and hot dogs

Been waiting 10 years to try this place ever since I saw it on a Food Network show. In all honesty, I didn't find anything special about the hot dogs. However, the Frosted Orange the French Fries, and the Fried Apple Pie were amazing. If I come back through Atlanta again I may try the burgers but I will definitely be getting the Frosted Orange and the French Fries. I will also be ordering a half dozen Apple pies to go! Checked it off the bucket list and even got a tee-shirt.

I stopped at the Varsity while I was traveling on a bus tour. It is so popular! The history of the restaurant grabbed my interest. It's been around for years so people of different cultures and backgrounds will come in and eat. This isn't the typical fast food spot. Fast food usually means you drive up place your order, pay and get food to go. Here there were at least 30 lines from one end of the counter to the other! The people were nice asking "What do ya have?" In their southern accent, and the menu has a wide variety of fried foods from burgers and chicken to chilli dogs, fries and desserts. Their drinks were southern nice and fresh too. I got a glorious burger and onion rings for only around $4! And it taste good. If you're on the road and want a good quick bite to eat then go to the Varsity!
