Nice ambiance, good service and the food was delicious. My husband and I ate baked Rock fish and I can't remember the other entree we ordered but that was from their seasonal menu which had sausage ham and white beans. Their cocktails are good too. The food prices range anywhere between $20-40. It's worth it.

This was truly a wonderful experience. We sat at the bar and enjoyed soup and a couple of cocktails. The effort that goes into what they make shows. We ordered some classic cocktails and got newer versions which made them interesting and fun to try.

Not to be outdone, co-owner Ryan Maybee complements the food with an equally exquisite and creative drink menu. A premiere Kansas City eating experience that never disappoints.

They have a great KC strip topped with bone marrow sauce. The drinks are fantastic and there is a speak easy in the basement. I would give 5 stars, but they served us a terrible braised rabbit once.

Update- went back and had the walleye, roasted root vegetables, and pork soup. They were all great. 5 star rating.

Heavy pork accented menu. I called four weeks in advance to reserve and advise them it was a "special birthday" dinner. Neither the seating staff, nor the server acknowledged it. Service was serviceable. They did text to ask about allergies a few days before. Unfortunately with this information they didn't make any effort to inform us they had modified or were prepared to modify dishes with that advance information. Good idea, poor execution.

I would put the Reiger into Kansas City's top 10 restaurants, easily. Have been here many times for both lunch and dinner. The seasonal menu is always a welcome surprise, and coupled with very tasty cocktails, this is the place for a special evening out.

One of my all time favorites in KC. Always great service and the food is amazing. The use top quality meats and change the menu seasonally. It's a must try for anyone looking for fine dining in KC.

My sister and I dined here last week and it was outstanding. Everything about the place was great. The staff was phenomenal and the food out of this world. I would recommend The Rieger to anyone visiting the KC area.

4 of us ate here a while back and we all had the same opinion. Too much $ for the quality and amount that we got. I like a good gourmet meal, but the bang for the much wasn't here. Manifesto on the other hand is awesome, love going there.

Cocktails are great. We had the charcuterie very good. It is a little pricey, 3 of us had a cocktail each and the charcuterie plate $100 bill, we did plan for this and had set our limit if not would have been real easy to get a 2-3 hundred dollar tab

Hands down my favorite spot in Kansas City; I hate even giving this review because I cannot give it enough stars. Any occasion worth a celebration we do at the Rieger. A wait for a reservation is never something to be disappointed at - it just means a drink at the bar.

People - from the bartenders to the waitstaff, everyone I have experienced have been great, professional, and added to an exceptional experience.

Place - an interesting open atmosphere where you can see the bar, dining room, and kitchen all from the front door. Tall ceilings and the original hotel tile floors make the space seem larger than it actually is.

Product - simply stated, The Rieger has the best KC Strip no, the best steak I have ever had. Period. Besides the steak, the amazing sides and small plates, the drinks are top notch. There has never been a drink I have had that I wouldn't order again without hesitation.

I had been looking forward to eating here after I read some ratings on the Best of KC or one of those other clickbait restaurant rating sites. The waitress was nice, and a pretty decent server. The food was probably one of the worst dining experiences my wife and our friends have had in recent memory. The blood sausage tasted like my Uncle's Farm smelled. My 1"x 1" x 1" piece of pork belly (part of Pork and Beans) was extremely dry. My wife specifically asked that her cooked Smoked KC Strip not be rare. It was too rare for her liking, and a bad cut of meat. Fat all through it, and really chewy. My friend had the walleye, and could only muster to eat half of it before he had the courage to tell me he didn't like it. The braised bison spare ribs were good. It isn't getting one star because the bread, bison, cornbread, as well as drinks, and service were good. My wife sent back the KC Strip, and they did provide dessert on the house, but at that point I couldn't even try it, I was done and extremely disappointed. There are 3 much better restaurants within a quarter mile radius of here.
