Friendly staff and comfy atmosphere! Food and drink selection is pretty nice. Higher prices than expected, but still recommend.

I took my wife and kids here this evening. I was very disappointed with this experience and the food. The appetizers stuffed mushrooms, spinach and artichoke dip, and the calamari were really good. My wife ordered steak medium well and it came very well done. My three kids didn’t have any issues with their meals. They had burgers and chicken tenders along with steak fries. I had some of their steak fries and they were good. I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The green beans were the best part of the meal. The very poor excuse for country gravy was one of the worst I’ve ever had. It tasted more like a sweet paste then a black pepper gravy. I just scraped it off and ate the steak and potatoes. The worst of this entire experience was the service. We had a waiter that was just not personal or very good. My son asked him how many chicken tenders came in the meal. He responded not sure I think it is three or four. I was on the end of the table and he kept reaching over my drink and plate. His sleeve went on my straw and on my plate. The entire meal he was continually reaching over my area and getting really close to me. Last but not least food wasn’t worth $135 it was good butt not great. You can get the same quality at a Mom and pop place or even an Ruby Tuesday for half of what we paid. This was also a lot louder for the price of the food. I feel when you pay that kind of money it should be a little more quiet. My kids, who aren’t exactly the quietest, were the quiet ones in the restaurant. Will not go back and it was mainly because didn’t get the bang for my buck.

got a large rib eye and should have gotten a smaller cut as mine had fat and silver skin were as the smaller stake at the table had this mostly trimmed off. Others had the bacon wrapped tenderloins with no complaints. had a good time overall.

Very expensive for the quality of the food. I expected more in flavor, plating, cuisine choices from the prices on the menu than I received. The bartender was friendly and attentive, however, and the ambience is somewhat anticipated for a steak house. For a little more money, a much higher quality meal can be enjoyed.

Not a pleasent experience today. Wouldn't take a reservation when we called earlier. Dirty, sticky menu with a big hair inside. Big hair in our appetizer. First round of silverware was dirty. Soup tasted old. Place was freezing with people dining with coats and winter hats on. Management did what they could to better the situation, but they shouldn't have to. Always been happy with previous dining experiences here so hopefully this was a fluke.

Very nice bar/restaurant. Full range of food/drinks. Specials and happy hour daily. Staff nice and helpful. Very busy from 5:00 on.

Went here with a client. I had gone before and was served sub-par steak and treated like garbage even though we were one of two groups there.

This time however was different. The steaks and sides were good, service was attentive. We went during lunch and the deals then are pretty solid. Would be willing to try it again.

The table was a bit wobbly but the waiter was quick to help us adjust it. We were tended to often throughout our meal but not too much to be obnoxious. The food is a bit pricy for me but that's Hereford House for you. The fish and chips was surprisingly good! Props.

The service was friendly and professional. My drink glass was never empty. Our food arrived quickly after ordering as well. My boyfriend ordered a burger and I had the summer special of BBQ ribs and chicken breast. Thr ribs were not fall off the bone like a am used to, but had great flavor and hope they warm up well as we took them home as left overs. The BBQ chicken breast was amazing and my boyfriend really enjoyed his burger. The reason why I scored a 4 out of 5 was because we tried the Strawberry Short Cake off of the summer special the strawberries were wonderful, but the short cake was not. Normally a short cake is soft and crumbly, this short cake was tough and had a weird after taste. We informed our waiter of this and he was very sorry and offered a new one or another dessert. We were going to a movie so we decided not to try another dessert. Over all our experience was great (beside the short cake) and we will be going back. Maybe we'll try a different dessert next time.

Sat in the bar area, it was nice enough.

Everything just seemed a little meh.

The bacon wrapped medallions were cooked well and the cut was tender, but lacked some flavor, even though it was marinated.

Cheddar ranch mashed potato's were more chopped than mashed.

My least favorite part was the server. He lacked any personality and seemed more like I was putting him out even though I didn't ask for anything. Asked for sweet tea with no lemon, got lemon. He said they didn't have sweet tea but he would bring sweetener. Had to ask again for sweetener.

All in all, not really impressed. I've had better meals for less at Outback. And that's not saying much.

My brother and I stopped by after driving all day.

We were quickly greeted and shown to our table. Luke, our server, was quick to bring water and offer drinks. Drinks and appetizers were quick and delicious.

We both ordered steaks, mine rare and his med rare. Luke delivered my steak to the table and informed my brother that he was having his recooked. We really appreciated his attention to detail and ensuring our meals arrived as ordered.

The manager Mark stopped by our table and was very personable and accommodating.

10/10 Would recommend. Friendly staff and a great steak made sure I will visit anytime I'm in the area!

For a while we'd frequent Hereford House Shawnee.

The Happy Hour Bar Food Menu was great (reasonably priced - with some great items not on the regular dining area menu). This was great if you wanted stop in on Date Night for a reasonable meal before a movie (instead of a full 3 course meal)..

Since then, they've really restricted the Happy Hour Menu Times, and made it so many of our favorite happy hour menu items aren't available at any other time (regardless of price), and limited the happy hour menu items to only the bar (so they can't be ordered in the dining area or patio)..

Its a shame since many of the happy hour appetizers and sandwhiches (steak stuffed potato skins) would be a hit in the main dining area (even at a higher price)..

To be fair - the staff is friendly (and probably shares this opinion) but management is stubborn (and really wants you to order a 3 course meal at every visit)..
