Me and my wife stayed here over a long weekend. The staff was amazing, but the room wasn't quite 100%. We had a few issues all over the place (patio door had no lock, bathroom fan was broken, not a very well lit room, and construction noise from upstairs at 930 am, no phone, and a few more). I understand they were going through their renovations, but the various problems/incomplete room did put a damper on our stay unfortunately. However, the saving grace of our stay was the reception and staff. They were super helpful, and even brought us a glass of milk with our chocolate cake. We would love to stay again and give them another chance, especially when the rooms are 100% finished! However, this visit was either a 3.5 or 4.0.

The rooms were lovely and the scenery was amazing. The only thing we ran into was that the rooms were supposed to receive a light cleaning and we were supposed to get fresh towels each day but we did not. Also the previous guest did not take out the trash and no one from the resort had either so it smelled a bit in the kitchen.

I came here looking for a wedding venue, and I surely found it! It's gorgeous, the staff are helpful and polite, the event coordinator is easy to talk to, and the property is in the middle of some serious updates and renovations to make it even better. I can't wait to bring my family here for my wedding!

Came for Thanksgiving with our entire family because a member of the family came before and loved it. Arrived to find out it was new ownership and the resort was under renovations. The Lakeview reservation we made didn’t matter apparently because they overbooked the place and didn’t have that type of room for us even tho we paid for it. The place was not decorated, the front desk person told me the renovations shouldn’t bother me even tho I already said that it did. The rooms bathtub didn’t hold water, every outlet is loose and plugs fall out of it. There were children who ran up and down the hallway non stop all night til 11:30 pm. The breakfast that used to be complimentary is non existent now. The room keys NEVER worked, we got at least 15 keys made over the whole stay and that was every room that my family had because they system kept erasing the cards. The whole feel of the place felt like it was in transition. Maybe in a few years it would be better and more established but definitely not what we expected. Gave it one star because it wouldn’t let me post anything less.

I made specific reservations to fit my handicap needs, they promised everything was covered and said they understand what I needed and would make sure to accommodate me. When I got to the resort, the front desk had me on a whole different floor when I clearly stated I needed the first floor due to disabilities. The customer service is not attentive to the customers needs. They put you in any room they have regardless whether reservations were made beforehand or not. If you ask for Lakeview or specific things, it is not guaranteed you will get them. What you get is what they give you and this is the second time this has happened. I will not be back due to this. The handicap accessibility, I needed was not provided even though I was very clear of this situation when I made the reservations.

We held our car club's 3-day event here, and everything was great! The food was delicious. The chef even catered to some people's special dietary needs! The bartender was top notch. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were well decorated and laid out. Some of our group had issues with the AC in their rooms, but this was addressed quickly (although this keeps me from giving 5 stars). They even had a fire pit with makings for Smores. I would definately recommend The Ridges for hosting an event.

Absolutely LOVED this place! I travel pretty regularly and have stayed in lots of different places and this is this first one that's ever impressed me enough to want to write a review. First of all, it's absolutely gorgeous in the lodge area and the property has beautiful surprises around every corner so don't just stay in the room! It's worth taking a stroll down to the lake to sit a while on the large pier or one of the many benches under the old shade trees. And in the evening, a little down time at the fire pit is a must. The grounds are very well kept and everything was clean with attention to detail. Also, every single staff member I met, from the lodge staff to the restaurant, were some of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with at a lodge or hotel. The restaurant was also very nice and the breakfast was very tasty! Would definitely recommend!

Food was quite good, but they are still very newly opened, and service needs to be faster and more attentive to detail. Great location right on Lake Chatuge Fairly upscale environment, so we look forward to a better- coached wait-staff. Love the patio.

Great service, great food and even better tv. Thanks for letting me watch my show guys (America's got talent). They will stay open as long as you want to stay and drink. Great place, highly recommend!!! Very classy and reasonable price, not too expensive and not too cheap. Around $30 for a good single dinner or so after tip.

Very dirty and smelled bad. No food after 8 pm any where. Was not told the restaurant was closed before coming. $6 for 2 single serve bags of chips. No vending machine. One ice machine on other side of resort. No one could give us info on local area. No screen door on balcony. Fan and lights in bathroom were broken. Would not stay there again. Cute town though.

Left a voicemail requesting information for weddings on Saturday 5/20 and never heard back. Called again Thursday 5/25 and spoke with an assistant of some sort, she offered a piss poor "sorry about that" when told I never received a call back, and informed me that I would hear back from a "Kristin", I believe was her name, in maximum 24 hours but usually it's less. Well here we are well over 24 hours and still nothing. Shocked at the blatant lack of service this place has to offer. Moving on from Ridges Resort, absolutely NO chance I will plan one of the most important and expensive days of my life at a venue who couldn't even care to call back.

Absolutely love this resort! The landscaping is beautiful. The people are accommodating and friendly. The layout of the resort is awesome and allows for everyone to congregate and mingle easily! Will definitely be back again soon.

We came for a relationship conference. We reserved a two room suite with another couple. When we arrived the room that was reserved had some issues. Staff was made of aware before we arrived to the hotel. To accommodate for the inconvenience they upgraded our room with the best suite in the hotel. Needless to say, we were more than pleased with the accommodations.
This hotel is overall beautiful but to have great customer service. this has to be my favorite hotel thus far!!!!response / report this review
