There was no freaking hot water! Husband's morning shower was a icy one. Somewhat dated, and not in a good way. Only one side of the towel rack was attached to the wall, there were different colors of paint splotches on the walls to cover up whatever was going on. The roof was water-stained and cracked. Definitely in need of maintenance.

Great views from the room great little breakfast in the morning close to North Carolina and the falls so it is just a great location over all me and my fiance very much enjoyed our stay.

This actually was a nice place. Very well maintained. Management was super friendly. They allow pets with minimal fees. The regular rooms are quite large, and for $50 bucks nothing compares around the area. Sits off the main road, rooms are in a single 2 story building behind pool/play area.
So helps cut down on traffic noise. They don't have a ton of rooms, so if u are thinking of staying here, book early! They do fill up, especially weekends. There's a nice slope and mowed area behind 2 story building, so pets and kids can play freely. Plenty of parking that's for sure. There's a grocery, a pizza place, a general goods with some foods type of store, and a diner/cafe style place all within walking distance. There are a few more dining and shopping options down or up the road. We will stay again. Actually left to travel into Tennessee, but came back to Mountain Valley Inn the following night. Felt much more comfortable at Mountain Valley. U can visit many parks, waterfalls, and states within a short drive. Shouldn't have left lol

Very accommodating. Clean room. A little noise. Called the front desk and it was addressed immediately. Continental breakfast. Quiet with the rooms off the main road.

Very clean and affordable. Great staff and perfect location. The pool is nice with a play ground next to it for the kids. Decent complimentary breakfast and facilities for ice and vending machines.

Price was good and so were the beds. Rooms could use a repaint but everything working fine and the rooms were really spacious with a shared balcony. Location was great for the local area and next to two restaurants. Good breakfast to get us going.

Very clean. Too strong of a cleaning smell for my asthma though. Super friendly. No hot breakfast but cereal and Denish was good
