Stayed here in a class C RV this August. Beautiful spots with plenty of room and overhead cover. The camp is nicely separated with RVs in one area, tents in another, and a mixed area where both can camp. There are plenty of hiking trails and you can fish for trout in Bradley Fork which runs through the park. There is also a historic Baptist church near the entrance to the park.

What's not to like about camping in the Smokies! This was a brief overnight camp before we got a shuttle to Fontana to thru hike the Smokies via the Appalachian Trail. My only negative was the bathroom floor was soaking wet and nastybut that was likely a result of the folks using it. I'm not a fan of camping on a gravel tent pad but I understand that if they don't create something durable it won't last a season. With how starved out parks are for money, I was happy for what we gotreasonable price and easy to navigate in and out. Thank you, we will be back.

Loved being right by the water. Campsite was nice size, clean. We have nice people all around us. Only thing is bathrooms are not cleaned right very bad urine smell

Not bad but it would really help if they had a shower. You can bathe in the river, though. Make sure you get as much upstream site for that as possible, otherwise you gonna swim in the gunk of other campers or dogs who have the same idea.

I've camped with trailer here and Cosby back in '14. They're both super nice places. Here, we stayed right by the river. The RV sites by the river are the best, and decently spaced out.

Camp was nice, rangers are nice, firewood is available to buy. I only gave it 3 because the restroom had a very strong urine smell. The cleaning didn't seem to have any water involved.

We used the generator free camping area. Staff were very pleasant, the grounds were clean, and the campground was quiet in the evening. The bathrooms tended to remain wet, and attracted insects over the night. The nearby creek and trail heads were very nice to have nearby.

This is a great campground. It is somewhat secluded, but still offers easy access to Cherokee, NC. Getting to Pigeon Forge maybe a little bit of a hassle, but this campground's peace and beauty make up for that. Plus, there is plenty to do on the NC side of the park. It also never seems to be as crowded either, which is a great asset. All in all, I would suggest this to anyone who is considering camping in the area.

My husband has been camping in Smokemont since he was a child and we have raised our children camping at Smokemont every July. We have a group of extended family and friends that now number more than 100 that will be camping in Smokemont in 2017. It's beautiful! Easy bike riding for children on fairly flat roads, tubing in the creek, and just enjoying nature along with friends and family. The bathrooms are clean, but do not offer showers. I'm afraid if showers were offered, it would be almost impossible to get in the campground. Cherokee is just a few minutes ride away for easy grocery pick-up. The best part for me is disconnecting from technology - no cell/internet service. LOVE IT and will continue to camp there for many years to come.

Been coming here for years - always has been one of the best maintained, tent friendly parks. Serves as a good home base for all the activities in the area. Highly recommend.

First time camping here, it is by far my favorite place to be! Very clean and well maintained. However a lot of poison Ivy be careful!

We go at least twice a year for long weekends and always enjoy the setting. The Rangers are wonderful, and the campground is very clean. The campground is like 5 miles from Cherokee to get supplies or to explore.
