The charm of the furniture and decorations made our visit special. There are so many sites to experience in the area. We will definitely be back.

We (family of 5 including 3 kids) stayed at this lodge due to an unexpected situation with our Rental Cabin, the 2 stars is very misleading! This lodge is clean, extremely friendly, and had all the amenities you need (including WiFi, breakfast, warm cookies and cider). Highly recommend to anyone considering a visit to the area, close to town (Hiawassee), close to Helen, and great views of the lake with the mountains in the background.

Very friendly staff. Clean rooms and excellent maid service. My only recommendation would be to have eggs on their breakfast menu as I want some protein in the morning. We had to go to McDonald's to get eggs. They do serve eggs, ham and hash browns on weekend's. Other than that, everything good. Comfortable beds and decent view in only their standard room.

Great place! Could not have ask for a more helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It could use updating, but we enjoyed our stay. The scenery is beautiful and the breakfast was great. We hope to visit again some day. We were there for the Dalen & Vincent landfest. It was so nice to walk the trail to the music hall. You will definitely be in shape after your stay if you walk to the music hall at the fairgrounds.

Came for the total eclipse. Lodge was full night before. Breakfast was crowded, but staff kept breakfast bar well supplied, no problems. Staff made chairs available for many of to sit in lower parking lot to observe eclipse. Attentive staff, good food for breakfast, comfortable room, reasonable rates
    What more could one want?

My husband and I have stayed here 3 years in a row this being our 3rd time for the eclipse. I hate leaving bad reviews but we were disappointed this stay. It's a beautiful lodge and beautiful view if you're on the right side. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We were originally given a room on the first floor and it smelled so bad of mildew. Luckily we were able to switch to a different room. This one didn't smell as bad. I love this place but won't be staying here unless they do a little renovation or something about the mildew condition.

Not happy to say the least. A female manager was extremely rude and, let's say, less than accommodating. She caused us to miss the first of two concerts that we had traveled 4.5 hours to see. When asked for the owner's name, we were denied. I am still trying to find the owner to speak with. Another clerk was very helpful, giving us directions and names of other lodging nearby; we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and enjoyed the rest of our trip immensely (hence the one star). I feel the higher ups would like to know one of their manager's costs them. I believe this could have been resolved with good customer service and a little patience.

My husband and I booked 4 nights and left disgusted after just 2 nights. The facility was filthy and in major disrepair and the service really needs improvement. It was sold to a new owner and had the feel of being under capitalized. They don't understand customer service. Our issues were: poor repair and cleanliness of the facility, cheap and scant "free" breakfast," over priced for the poor quality of facility and service, Housekeeping did not clean our room and then lied to management and told them our do not disturb sign was out which it was NOT! We could not sit outside and enjoy the balcony that we paid good money to use because of disgusting cigarette smoke filling our lungs. Our room was poorly supplied when we arrived, so we had to ask for too many items. The manager chose to believe her housekeeper and compensated us a merger $25 off of our bill for the nothing that we received. It was a disappointing and depressing experience at best. We moved on to another town and great facility with superb service to finish our vacation. We will NEVER make the mistake of returning to The Lake Chatugue Lodge. Since we are In the turn-around business, it is easy for us to see the issues that need addressing with a professional eye.

Beautiful view, but the bed was very uncomfortable, i guess it would be fine for people that sleep on really firm beds. The little love seat in the room was very dirty, so we covered it with a blanket. The breakfast in the morning was the same you'd get at any other hotel if they get new beds I'd probably go back because of the patio off of the room and the view.

Friendly staff and beautiful location. Beautiful views of the lake as soon. As you walk in the lobby with a nice fireplace to compliment the view. The rooms are a little dated but not bad. Breakfast was your typical eggs and sausage with a few pastries, nothing to get too excited over but overall pretty decent. Will definitely consider this place next time weare up
