The brunch buffet was fantastic. Wide variety of food from salads, to eggs Benedict, to prime rib carving station, to omlet station, to dessert buffet. Service was impeccable. Would highly recommend. Very accommodating to the 4 small children/toddlers in our large party.

Enjoyed the view and a Christmas Eve lunch buffet. Delicious food with some unique options mixed in with brunch staples. Shops were kind of hard to find but if I had been an overnight guest, I think I would have preferred that. I am looking forward to staying there for a future vacation. It's a beautiful place.

Always very friendly service to groups large and small. Holiday buffet was quite tasty and filling. Had warm foods, carving station, soup, desert and salad bars. Good, friendly and attention table servers. Views are spectacular. Snow up here in mountains but not in Atlanta.

Excellent service. The rooms are wonderful and comfortable with fireplaces or balconies. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Worked well as a venue for conference. Great location, a/v support, room management and logistics support. Noted some opportunities for improvement with staff planning and anticipating increased volume in the on site restaurant and bar during conference.

Absolutely beautiful location, ample parking, and wonderful customer service. I stayed in one of their 4 bedroom cabins and they are immaculate, to say the least. One of the best stays I've ever had anywhere in the world. My only regrets are that I wasn't able to check out their golf course and I wasn't able to stay longer.

Excellent service and beautiful grounds, but the rooms are filthy. I was there with a group so I saw several rooms and they were all the same. It looks like the corners have never been vacuumed, there were cobwebs even on the luggage carts, visibly thick dust on top of the curtains and headboards. I found mold on the shower curtain and the order-ahead breakfast menu left on our pillow had already been filled out by the previous guest and was covered in coffee stains. I don't think the sheets had been changed, either. So strange to have such excellent, friendly staff but such unacceptable room standards.

While the customer service, food, amenities and views of this resort were the best you can get, the rooms were lack luster at best. The a/c did not work properly. The toilet needed to be tightened as it rocked. The shower/tub combo was clogged, so bad so that the water would rise to my ankles in a 10 minute shower.
I would not stay at this hotel again unless it had an major over hall however I would stop there in a heart beat to walk their nature trails, take in the views and dine. The staff is uber accommodating and very nice, smiles all around.response / report this review -

Prepare to have your valuables stolen. I've stayed at Brasstown a few times, the grounds are very nice. This time, we stayed in a cottage room. My husband left his wedding ring on the bathroom counter while we went out on the lake, when we came back to the room, the ring was gone. We advised the front desk, spoke with the housekeeping manager, and after multiple follow-ups, we have still not had a resolution. I filed a claim, then followed up and was told there was no claim filed and a manager would call me. I am still waiting on that call. It's been a month since our stay and i am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. Make sure you lock up ALL of your valuables if you chose to stay here.

This place does buffet, after buffet, after buffet. The food quality is between not very good and nauseating. The rooms are terrible quality, paper thin walls. Oh and my favorite - the $15/day 'resort' fee which covers 2 bottles of water (ok, that's actually useful) local phone usage (who cares?), storage of your probably non-existent fishing supplies, etc. The area is beautiful (and it rained almost every minute we were there). The staff is exceptionally friendly. My 2 stars are for the staff.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed in the lodge but the cabins appeared to be very nice as well. Can't really get a much nicer location. We were unable to golf but what I saw of the course looks gorgeous. Highly recommend checking out the local vineyards. I would say, avoid the food at the sports bar in the lodge as it's extremely bland. My family and I tried multiple things and we were disappointed in all of it. Stick to main dining or go out around the town for food.

Easter brunch had a wonderful lunch selections, but very limited breakfast choices beyond a build-your-own-omelette bar. The restaurant was practically fully booked, quite understandable for the holiday, but guests are unreasonably packed into such a small space as to make a challenge out of walking to and from the buffet without colliding with servers waiting on their tables. The staff was friendly and personable, and the food was fantastic. The views were nice too, even if the weather started to turn later in the afternoon.

Had Easter Brunch here. Every thing was good on from the Prime Rib, Leg of Lamb, Oysters on the Half Shell, Boiled Shrimp, Cheese Tortellini with Alfredo Sauce, salad selections and desserts. They also had the omelette station, waffles and hash brown potatoes. Was disappointed that there was no rice or potatoes to go with prime rib. We were seated in a side room with only one of 5 other tables occupied so we're surprised our service for picking up plates and refilling drinks was slower than I would have expected for this premium priced holiday buffet. Our seating time was 2:00p so I would have expected better service. All in all still a great buffet and would be willing to try again.

Neat rustic decor in the lobby with a fireplace made to resemble the one in Yellowstone National Park. Unfortunately, the lobby will sometimes fill with smoke. If you have asthma or breathing problems, request a second, fourth, or fifth floor room. We were in room 305, close to the lobby, and one night the smoke was so bad our eyes were watering and an asthma attack ensued. Chris from engineering helped us change rooms to 2nd floor at 2am, and they provided an air purifier.
Great set up for our conference. Beautiful setting and overlook, trails. Spa closed on Mondays and Wednesdays during winter, so we didn't get to try it.
Seafood buffet was wonderful on Friday night. Both restaurants need a bit more staff, as the few who were available were not enough for the crowd.response / report this review
