Pretty cool place, super chill vibe with great drinks and food. You can get a light meal like fries or go with the chicken fried chicken, the duck linguine was amazing. The place used to be a brothel so it's got quite the history. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the bill was fairly priced for being in the center of Santa Fe
My husband and i went here for dinner on a Wed nite. Fabulous burgers and fries for the both of us. Cooked perfectly!
Excellent service and loved the low light, speak easy environment. Would definitely go here again.
Very good, as good or better than some of the local hip and trendy restaurants, and at more reasonable prices. Wonderful Caesar salad with homemade dressing for $7.95. Don't let the old time decor throw you off, it looks like a last century saloon, which I think it was. Nice outdoor dining area which would be good in warmer weather.
We came in with a group of friends for their birthday to celebrate and after asking the server what options they had for vegan food she told us their was one option so we didn't bother looking over the menus and the waitress saw that we didn't look over the menus so we ordered the vegan burger. She immediately asked us if we wanted fries with that so we said yes thinking that it came with the order as a side, (what burger doesn't come with fries).
This was our first visit to Palace from Albuquerque. The burger was burned, fries overcooked, but we ate about half of it anyway because we were VERY hungry and didn't want to deal with reorder. When we received the bill there was two orders of fries on the ticket priced separately. We asked why the fries were a separate charge. (she offered us the fries and didn't tell us the extra charge). We asked for the fries charge be removed from the bill. The waitress was rude about it repeatedly so we asked to speak to the manager who was much more rude and began to belittle us by saying 3 times, " I'm not going to argue with you about it because $8 is NOTHING".
She made us feel very unwelcomed.
Later during the night we suddenly got yelled at from behind us by a server (shorter women) to "move out of the way", then immediately and literally screamed at by the server behind her (older women wearing a school girl costume), "you people need to move right now!..", followed by simultaneous yelling from the taller young woman, "move move move".
It is very degrading to be yelled and screamed at like a child!
Keep in mind we were not drinking this night. A simple "excuse me" would have sufficed.
We will absolutely not be coming back.
We came upon The Palace by accident. It turned into a very happy accident. Amazing cocktails and killer food. Cozy, red velvet, saloon kind of atmosphere. We love it here and you will too.
Came here for a wrap party after the making of the movie “The Kid”. A very nice place, a little small as a music venue, the sound is too overpowering on the small area. Local bands sounded pretty good though. I’d come back again.
Some of the best food I've had in my mouth in a while! The Executive Chefs, Jen and Evan Doughty have created the perfect menu to compliment this Restaurant and Saloon, with farm to table fresh foods and the á la carte style plates you can make amazing variations of your favorite dishes! The back patio is one of the best I've dined at in Santa Fe and dogs are allowed if well behaved.
The shows are fun and drinks are classic. Happy Hour is from 5-7p, they do 25 % off all liquor, wine and beer and there are some great Happy Hour food items too.
Sunday Brunch is a must, right now it's from 11a-3p until they revamp their hours a little, but the Red Chile Hollandaise on their Eggs Benedict is to die for! I want it smothered on every dish!!!
I highly recommend eating here! Keep a lookout for their expanded hours, hopefully soon to come!
Food, Service and amazing historical decor!
Great staff and service but I paid 15 for chicken fried chicken that was just a chicken patty no gravy or anything and any drink that isnt beer 12 buck minimum. Seen some great shows here.
Great staff, outdoor seating was fantastic, steak and dessert were tasty.
Yo i had the best chicken sanwich in my life there 👍💪💪💪
It was a beautiful place.. the back patio was very beautiful!! The food could be better.. the prices were outrageous for the food.. the staff was rude and not attentive. I probably would not order food again.
This place is awesome! The saloon ambiance is fun and kitchy with great food and drinks. The waters are large to stave off dehydration. The music is nice and the staff is amiable and attentive. The dining room is fun and festive. This is a great dinner and drinks destination for a casual evening.
We loved the ambiance of this restaurant when we walked in. Definitely a cool club with cute kitschy decor. However, we ended up sort of regretting spending so much money here. The food and service were inconsistent; never terrible, not great. We loved the soup of the day, and we recommend the pork chop plate. Other dishes we tried seemed way over-sauced or lacking in freshness. Just sort of lackluster. $80+ for dinner not including any alcohol. Somewhat typical dining experience for downtown Santa Fe, maybe even above average. But if I came back I'd probably just order one dish to share with hubby.
