I am staying in a 28th floor, city view room. The rooms are quite comfortable and are very nice. The main complaint that my family has had so far is that there is nothing to really block sound from the bathroom (aside from slats) so sounds travel very easily if someone wants to get ready before others do. Otherwise, it's a really nice hotel. The pools are great (and the hot tubs are great), service is about as quick as you can expect (there are a lot of guests), and the food is good.
I love staying at this hotel The Diplomat Curio collection from Hilton you will read many reviews that are good and not so good because it is all a matter of personal preferences always remember that. I have been coming for many years from NJ and can’t say enough of the quality of people they hire. Carla our housekeeper is amazing! Picks up on little details that we like and takes care of it without us even asking! Such a great asset to your team! Pedro at the concierge goes above and beyond to take care of everything! He took extra care with my 10 year old son when he had questions about the hotel or needed something. Alex from Towne Park Valet service was also great! Took care of all of our parking needs even when family and friends came he knew of us and mentioned to them that he was expecting them, etc. People make all the difference at hotels! Make sure you thank and rip them well.
I went to the spa this past weekend with my boyfriend as a couples massage for our anniversary I will have to say overall my experience was unpleasant compared to other spas that I have been at. The massage I got was good but the customer service was bad. I asked to avoid my hands because I have blisters from burning my hands and my massage therapist said "let's see if I remember because my massage steps are a routine." I don't think that's the right answer you give to a client that is asking for that kind of request. Then I forgot to take off my necklace so when she started my massage she told me she was probably not going to be able to massage my neck correctly due to the necklace still being on. I went on to say I'm sorry that I had just forgot to take it off and that she could take it off if she wanted to. She ignored me and continued the service. Then last which to me was what made this experience one of the WORST was when it was time to turn over on the bed I didn't realize I was so above the bed that when I flipped I put all the weight of my head on the head rest and it made a noise and slightly came off it initial position. I apologized of course and my massage therapist made such a big deal about it and said "Oh my gosh you broke my head rest" (which she said a few times) and even went as far as saying I thought you have gotten a massage before, why would you do that. This was the last straw that was so rude I clearly didn't do it on purpose it was just that my perception on where I was on the bed was off. The way she handled the situation was unprofessional and killed the Zen vibe for being such a high end venue. I have to say one of my worst massage experience I have ever had.
Beautiful resort, fantastic location, nicest and most helpful Team Members I have ever met at any resort. Everyone there was truly dedicated to making sure we had a memorable stay and we surely did. The rooms are immaculate, the hotel is right on the beach, and you can see and get on the beach from their pools! The restaurants are quite tasty and they even have a few where you can sit outside and watch boats go by. Swing by Bristol's and get the 12 hour smoked boneless rib sandwich. Best I've ever had and you can see them smoking as you walk in the restaurant! We had an amazing time here and I wouldn't hesitate (and hope!) to return and will recommend over and over.
Bed was very comfortable. Rooms were modern and clean. Amazing beach front views and access. Good service. Only down side was the price of food in the convenient store in the lobby. They charge $9.45 for a yogurt!
NICE Hotel and the First time of staying in this Area(Hollywood) Fallon did a GREAT job of taking care of us! My room was not ready when we checked in got got us taken care of us fast!! and remember who we where when we came back!! With employee like this I would HIRE if she moved to Iowa!! And NO I never knew Fallon unit I stay here at The Diplomat Beach Resort The hotel is super nice! VERY clean and amazing rooms! Stay here.
I attended a conference in the adjacent convention center and the recent renovations are incredible!! Loved the breathtaking views of the ocean during my "sun" breaks in between sessions. As a local, I am definitely planning to return for a weekend getaway. The concierge and spa staff were so sweet I asked the concierge about day passes, which they do not do, but he suggested a delightful tour to the spa as an alternative "day trip" option. Good job Mr. Concierge!! We will be back soon :)
It was my first time visiting FL with my family and first all the hotel is fine the only thing is that is not family friendly. Random people would go inside the hotel lobby, pool to use the amenities. The beach is dirty with seaweed and we weren't able to enjoy it as we wanted it. My fiance was bitten by some sort of bug. Pools were dirty with beer because of guests or random people were drinking in it. The hot tub was the WORST!! I came down in the middle of the night and saw two couples inside and from what I was able to see it looked like they were having sex. Overall I would never recommend this hotel it's not worth the money. Stay away from this hotel if you are with your family, kids.
The check-in process went well. The property looks good and it looks like renovation is still under way.
There are restaurant options available and a store or two. It's nice the service in the stores was okay nothing remarkable.
You can hear room noise from the rooms next door. My room was ocean facing and I couldn't hear any noise from the pool area and the view was great.
Things are at a premium. I ordered a personal pizza and Coke delivered from one of their associated restaurants and it was $30; so you pay like you're in a Caribbean resort while staying domestic.
Overall it's a nice place, close to the beach, not much around within walking distance (there are businesses, residences,etc.).
It was an incredible experience, the rooms, the view and everything about was superb. I would say miles beyond most of the other hotels around. The front desk was friendly and they had excellent restaurant. They have pretty much everything you need, you hardly have to leave the hotel for anything, besides going on the beach, which is a stone's throw away. The rooms and beds were comfortable, bathroom is spacious and we'll designed. I would fully recommend staying at this hotel!
Check in pleasant as long as you don't mind tipping. Curb tip for cart to unload your baggage on to. Bell tip because they won't let you push the cart you just unloaded your stuff on to up to your room yourself. Room is very beautiful. Large spaces and well appointed. Full on view of the ocean. However the balcony sliders are locked so you can't go out there. Big disappointment there. Maintenance they say.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It's definitely one of the finest resorts in town. Not on top of that there's no reason to leave with all the restaurants here as well. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it to anybody staying in Hollywood Florida
I stayed here for my birthday and a orchestra concert. I arrived with my family after work on a Friday. We had plans for dinner which was going to be late, unfortunately. However, we were also meeting friends and when we arrived (be aware that valet per day is $41 per day) my husband checked in our luggage and we waited at the bar to get a snack and drink. When we arrived to our room our luggage was still not there. We called down and were told they would bring it up right away. After another 30 minutes we called back down and was transferred to another line, for which, noone answered. I called back and could not get anyone to answer. I eventually had to go down myself and was told they only have 2 people working. I spoke to the manager who offered to wave the resort fee of 30 per night and the valet parking fee. Needless to say we ended up having to eat at the hotel because the kids had already fallen asleep.
When I checked outthe manager who waved the fees was not there and I only got the resort fee waved. He did not wave the valet fees. Many other hidden fees such as breakfast was 35 per person including kids. Just be cautious with promised amenities as they do not stand by there word. I gave it 2 stars only because the facility is nice, however, the service is by far the worst of any Hilton I have ever stayed at.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The front desk was very kind and professional, and even moved us to a different room because we didn't want to be by the elevators. The property is gorgeous, adjacent to the ocean with a wonderful pool as well. We had drinks at the bars and the bartenders did a great job making our drinks. Also, the coffee shop in the lobby was wonderful iced coffee and quiches. I would recommend staying at this hotel and I know we look forward to staying again.
Really love resort right on the Beach. Amazingly attentive staff! Beach yoga & other fitness activities are scheduled by the hotel or just do your own thing. Great restaurants on property & 2 more just across the walking bridge that are owned by the resort. Ocean on one side, coastal water way on the other. Great conference facilities. Can't wait to return!
