A real shame!!! I am staying in a room with 4 people of my family and the water on the toilet won't flow to fill it. In other words, according to the staff, due to the fact that it's almost 10PM, maintenance is not available now and we won't have the toilet properly working until tomorrow. No other room available either. A real shame and a real waste of money due to the low level of professionalism.

The hotel is beautiful, but I have to give a very honest review. My wife and I have 6 children so we rarely get an opportunity to vacation. Between business and our children, we are so occupied that we only vacation about every 7 years. We chose the Bal Harbour Quarzo believing that it would be the perfect spot. We check into our room, and no tub like the photos show. We are placed in an accessible room. A seat, metal pipes, and a shower head. THEN, the phone didn't work. I could only use the speakerphone. To top of the frustrations, about half of the channels, and I mean basic channels, did not work on the television.

Being a business owner, I'm thinking, "Okay, I'm sure we can come up with a solution." I called the front desk, on speakerphone, and they said they would give me a call back. Four hours later, nothing. They were supposed to be finding us a room that was not accessible. The just completely forgot, or just didn't care. Then I get excuses as to why someone didn't call. I guess that had an emergency and had to leave.

Still we as for some other accommodations. Sorry sir, there's nothing we can do. Then I see people come in and get the same room we have, but of course it's not accessible. A slap in the face. You pay so many additional fees, on top of the fees to book the room, after you arrive, then arrive early to get a room that just doesn't work, and they force you to stay there when there are other options. I would have rather stayed at a Super8 or Motel 6, I'm sure the service would have been better.

Reserved a 2 bedroom apt. There was no TV in the family room. The woman at the front desk said all rooms are decorated the same and we do not have TV's. This is a complete lie because the small bedroom has a small TV which I unplugged and put in the living room.
The woman at the front obviously didn't want to deal with anything so she resorted to the statement "we do not have TV's in the 2 bedroom suites'.

Absolutely FILTHY. Pubic hair in my bathroom as well as dust crusted on the bathroom baseboards. Dust on floor. So gross.

Great customer service and a beautiful room. Well worth the reasonable price we were able to get online.

Quarks is basically a motel six with a great location and very large rooms. There were a bunch of.l not so great features such as the hotel being rediculously noisey with pumps, rattles, and the other guests making tons of noise throughout the night. The hotel is a converted appartment building which means your HVAC is a residential unit and resides in your room. This would be fine except ours shrieked after the compresssor turned off for about 20 minutes. Additionally the floors are installed very sloppily; planks are uneven and thresholds are completely loose. The hotel will charge you a mandatory beach use fee for umbrellas and chairs even if you check in after it closes and check out before it opens. Our sheets were ripped and everything generally was set up to look good superficially rather than provide actual luxury. There are so many great hotels in Miami, don't waste your time on this place. Take the same amount of money and get a smaller room at another hotel. $10 parking charge as well.

It was very clean and open, the rooms could have used some better lighting but overall it was a great stay.
