Spent our best vacation here! Brought our 4 kids and we loved the set up, plus the rental golf carts to get around! Pools are great. Only suggestion I have is to buy your food or toiletries outside of the park. Yes, there is a store there but it’s a fortune! I wish I would have used the grocery service Shipt down there to deliver to us. Just a recommendation 😉

The location at the cabins is beautiful! The rooms are large enough for a fair sized party, and they are comfortable and homey. I like that there are busses for ease of access around the resort, and also a boat to Magic Kingdom. All of the staff I have encountered have been very friendly and helpful. I also recommend the buffet at Trail's End!

The cabins are very nice inside. The chairs, counches, and TVs are perfect for down days. The beds are very comfortable. The staff has been very friendly. The food on site is good. The wait time for the buses and boats to the parks are great. The buses around the resort are great too, but if you don't like waiting you can rent carts to drive through the resort.

Ten out of ten. We've visited Disney five times since 2014 and have tried the value resorts (as movies twice & pop once) and have stayed at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness twice (May 2017 & Nov 11-16 2017). Our stay was full of perfection. I would absolutely recommend the cabins at this resort to any family with small children who love the outdoors, love a friendly atmosphere, and love campfires. You get privacy & peace when you want it (by not having connecting neighbors on the other side of the wall), but you also get friends and fun when you want that as well (at chip & dale's campfire and the nightly movie). Megan at the front desk was PHENOMENAL. She and the entire front desk staff definitely deserve a #castcompliment. We rented a golf cart for ease (and excitement) both trips, but the internal bus system runs efficiently if you're looking for a budget trip. I loved all the cabin amd golf cart Christmas decorations. BEST PART of the cabins is the full kitchen. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

This is a very swampy area. The cabin in the 2700 area had swamp water behind it that came right up to the cabin. We had to move 6 days into our 9 day stay because the AC stopped working, to a cabin that had swamp water on 2 sides and smelled bad. This one is the 2800 area. After leaving the very expensive backyard BBQ early to swap cabins and getting this one, we requested a cabin that was a bit less surrounded by water. They did find one that was much better for us. This area is ok but all in all for the same money you can stay in a different Disney resort for the same price that is much nicer.

Quite, peaceful return for after the parks. The cabins are a nice size. The kids love the bunk beds. There are two TV's and kitchenette. The individual cabins make for a quite stay since there is no hallway for kids to be running down. The trade-off is a very spread out resort. There is a bus system just for the resort. Busses do seem to run frequently. You can also rent a golf cart or bikes. This resort won't be for everyone, but it's a nice peaceful break if you don't mind some extra walking.

The cabins are absolutely beautiful. Clean and modern. Everything you need for a home away from home. The service, pools, campfire sing along were all amazing. My daughters wanted to spend more time at the resort than at Disney! I absolutely recommend renting a golf cart for your stay. This saved a lot of walking and added to the fun! We plan to stay here next trip!

This was the first time steak staying at the cabins at Fort Wilderness and though I had some apprehensions prior to staying those were put quickly to rest. You really truly feel as though you're out in a cabin in the middle of the Woods. The damage from hurricane Irma was definitely present and felt the the staff at Disney did a fantastic job of making everyone feel welcome afterwards would definitely stay here again at the campgrounds with an RV or at the cabins

The cabins include a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove top and basic dishes. The beds were comfortable. Our first night, we arrived to find dirty sheets on the master bed. They were replaced the next day with clean sheets, but the sheets had holes the size of pencil erasers in them. The third day housekeeping took the bedding off the sleeper sofa but did not supply bedding to replace it. When we asked for a replacement, we were given clean sheets but they had a stain and a tear in them. The bus system was sub par. You can't get the schedule from your cabin. You have to take a bus to the main station to know when the park buses will come. We took the cabin bus to the main station, then waited almost an hour for a bus to Hollywood Studios (saw 3 epcot and 2 animal kingdom buses come and go). The next day we took bus 1 to the station, then waited 45 minutes for a bus to animal kingdom. There are no bathrooms or amenities at the stop, beyond a snack machine. We enjoyed the Disney parks but would not return to Fort Wilderness.

The cabins are clean. You cannot use your car to travel anywhere on the property. There is no parking ANYWHERE except your cabin. You have to spend $73.00 per day to rent a cart or bus around the property. NOTHING is convenient. We had a family of 6 and a 1 year old and only a 2 burner stove that had small burners. You have a large microwave that is supposed to work as an oven but it took 45 min. just to preheat to bake a frozen pizza. You can order food from the take out at Trails End restaurant however, you have to bus down or have a cart to pick it up. You have to bus to the swimming pool or have the cart. It was a very discouraging resort. I had requested a cabin close to the bus because my husband is handicap. When I checked in I got the perfect cabin number and he even marked it on a map but it was not ready so I had to wait for a text. When I got the text they gave me a completely different cabin and was far from where I wanted to be. I called and asked what happened and was told a big convention booked the 2500 block that I wanted. I hung up and thought, "what", a convention booked in the last 2 hours. When I called back I asked them why they moved me and wow, a cabin opened up. The cabin that they original gave me never had anyone in it the whole time we were there. In fact, one of the grounds people said the whole resort was half empty. I had to call every day for toilet paper, shampoo and towels. 6 people ( and a 1 year old ) got 4 towels, 1 bar of soap and 1 small shampoo. ( and I mean small ). I had to buy a skillet to make eggs in. The one they had could not be cooked in. EVERYTHING stuck to it.. I would not recommend this area for anyone that is trying to save money. You spend more than you save just to get around. They had a boat launch to Magic Kingdom however, it didn't start up until 8:30AM. This meant if you had breakfast reservations before then you had to bus to the front of the campground, then bus to Magic Kingdom the boat over to the park. If you have kids, not fun at all.
I myself will never stay at Fort Wilderness Cabins ever again.

We have only had one night here so far and IT. IS. FABULOUS. The cast members are awesome. The facilities are awesome. The cabin is amazing. I love having our kitchen and the bedroom and our own private patio. I can't believe it's not considered deluxe! We love it so far. Check out is Friday.

We were blown away by these cabins! They are spacious and have everything you could need for your stay, except scissors. The resort itself is beautiful and has so much to offer for everyone in the family. We ate at Trails End during our stay and the brunch had a good variety. The only minor complaint I have: the phone in the room didn't work so we couldn't get wakeup calls or call with questions but I called from my cell. The best part of the stay was watching the magic kingdom fireworks from the Fort Wilderness beach with the music pumped in. Amazing! All in all, it was an amazing stay and I can't wait to come back!

Awesome! Beautiful, wooded area with a private porch. We were able to drive right up to the door. There is a bedroom with a full sized bed and bunk beds and a living space with a fold out bed. A stocked kitchen and a spacious bathroom. Easy access to the bus area also. Great place to stay if you need to spread out.

Cabins are clean and spacious for what money they cost in comparison to other Disney resorts. Check in was easy, though the front desk Lodge where you do so is tiny. Be prepared for a wait if you go right at check in time. Cabins are clean, at least ours is. Short bus ride to the Outpost or trading station. Be aware there is only one bathroom in the cabins. Overall a pleasant change from your typical resort.
