Stayed here about 4 months ago and it was alright.
My girlfriend and I stayed in the main hotel while the others in our party choose a suit.
Well turns out the suit is so far away they offer a shuttle service but the shuttle service is only ava via the phone in the hotel room, which was undergoing maintenance.
This wasn't too helpful for my dad who is disabled.
I am going back this weekend and plan on staying in the main hotel.
Not bad for the price but prefer Bonnet Creek.response / report this review -

We stayed 3 nights at Lake Buena Vista Palace in August 2011. We opted for an island suite with a water view.
When we checked in and arrived in our room we were surprised to see that our “water view” was about 2 feet of pool viewed from our balcony. Clearly this is a common complaint because when my husband called the front desk to complain that we couldn’t really seen any actual “water” (we assumed it would be a lake or pond) we were immediately given a $75 credit to our room. That was nice since their breakfast buffet was $20 a person we were able to eat breakfast twice on our trip for free.
The first night we realized our room was directly above the automatic sliding doors downstairs (we were on the 2nd floor). Until 2pm we could hear kids screaming at the pool and the sliding doors open and closing. Luckily our daughter was able to sleep through it all; unfortunately we were not and got very little sleep the first two nights there. There were no ceiling fans in our unit either to provide white noise.
We were also given a handicapped accessible unit which would have been fine except we had a curious 2 year old that kept pressing the button to open the front door and playing with the bench in the shower. We were unable to switch to another room because the hotel’s suites were all fully booked.
On our final night at the hotel we came back late from a wedding. We realized on our way to the island suite (which was not connected to the main hotel) that there was a private party set up at one of the pools with a DJ and two large speakers. The music could be heard in our room and the bass from it was shaking the walls.
My husband called the front desk and demanded we be given another room to sleep in. At first the manager requested we take all our bags to our new room but since it was now 1am, with a 2 year old, he told him that if we were not given a room to sleep in for the night we would demand a full refund for the night and we would be making the 2 hour drive back home.
At the front desk while getting our key for our room to sleep in we heard numerous people calling to complain about the private party. The hotel claimed they had never done something like that before. A lot of people were given refunds for the night or moved to another room to sleep in. The party was scheduled to go to 3am and we had a lot of families in the island suite area where we were staying that I’m sure were not happy about loud music playing and people yelling.
We stayed in a standard room in the main hotel. It was 100% nicer than the suite we had been staying in and we slept the best we had the entire stay. Had we known how horrible the location of the island suite was we would have dealt with staying in a smaller much quieter room in the main hotel.response / report this review -

This hotel is located at a convenient location across Downtown Disney. Hotel has bus services to all resorts so once you get there you dont have to worry about transportation. Hotel price was okay with advanced booking, but resort tax of $16.99 per day caught me offguard. In hotel services like dining is expensive. We drove to nearby restaurants that cost 50% less. Overall an okay value for convenience and cleanliness. I will stay there again.
