Clean, the showers were handicap equipped and larger than i anticipated. Room was spacey with a nice desk and swivel chair, flat screen tv, iron/laundry hanging nook, and the bathroom included a blow dryer. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap already in room. Toothbrush/toothpaste/razor/etc available free at the front desk. There was a nice little continental breakfast:toast, juice, coffee, cereal, hot chocolate, and mini donuts. You could even make fresh mini waffles with a waffle iron. Staff was very welcoming, as well. Quality room for the price :)
So I'm sure i made the right decision to get off the next available exit because i was falling asleep on the highway. The mistake i made was thinking any motel will be just as good as the next. The choices i had were super 8 and red roof inn. I chose the closest one with the least resistance so i made that right err wrong turn to super 8. The check-in was nice enough-quick and painless. Sadly though the issue started as soon as i opened the door to my room - room 137 so be fore-warned when given this room! I'll make it short and won't go into too much of the details. The room smelled like roach spray. The sink/vanity was missing the mirror. The laminate "hardwood" floor was sticky with droplets of white stain by the bed. The bathroom was dirty and looked like they just swept all the dirt into the corner. The wall behind the toilet looked like it had piss stain or something running down it. The door had about a half inch gap on the top that the lights from the hallway was actually lighting my room! (A little exaggeration but) The one thing that really played with my mind for some reason (probably from watching too much Hotel Impossible) was the deadbolt did not fully engage/shut- it was hitting the edge of the hole. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what the problem was before giving up. As i sat on the bed (with my boots still on) getting ready to turn in, the image of Anthony (Hotel Impossible) kicking in the door and stressing customer's safety in just about every other episode kept playing in my mind. Somehow the smell in the room got heavier, the floor got stickier and the bathroom got even grosser. I was in the room it seems no longer than 30 minutes when i packed up and went to the front. I calmly and politely asked, "i changed my mind about staying here, do you think its ok if i can get a refund?" The clerk started giving me an attitude about how i could've and should've just turned around and left if i didn't like the room but since i was in there for more than 15 minutes then he can't give me a refund because i stayed there. I told him if he doesn't want to give me a refund then that's fine - I'm still leaving. He asked me what was wrong and i told him. He did offer me another room at a higher price but i figured if they will offer that room to a customer i really don't care to see the other rooms so i just left. Maybe i have been spoiled being fortunate enough to stay at actual hotels so my expectations were too high but now i guess i know what they mean when they say "roach motel". Sorry, i know i said it'd be short but i thought it had to be told.
If I could of given more stars I would of!! The people here are AMAZING! I have never been to a hotel with such great people, well except the one I worked at lol!
The rooms are ok, Great actually for the rate. The location is very convenient! Thank you guys for all your help!
Dump, dirty, hole in BR door, tv didn't work and people having sex in car in back lot at 11 AM when we checked out to go to a different hotel. You get what you pay for. Red Roof Inn much better and low price.
Recently remodeled rooms. New furniture and tv. Nice bathrooms. Our room didn't have a microwave. Not sure if standard or not. Will stay there again
We stayed in room 202, when we first got there Wednesday night, there was wet paint signs everywhere and the smell was very overwhelming. The bathroom tile was loose and very gross along the bath tub and broken tiles around the toliet. Everytime we walked in the bathroom the tiles moved. The plug in beside the bathroom sink did not work. Thursday morning I reported to the front desk that it wasnt working and the toliet wasnt flushing right and the lady wrote down the info and said that the maintenance guy would be there to look at it, honestly I do not know if they ever showed up because the plug in never worked and the toliet was still not working right. There was a reddish color smudged paint on the white wall. There was wires hanging down from the tv, not really sure if that was safe or not. Friday morning after they cleaned up the room and made our beds, they didnt leave enough towels and I was tired of complaining. We are planning on coming back from Louisville next year for the GIE Expo and we will not be staying there and we are definitely telling everyone we know not to go there.
The hotel was awesome, front desk lady was very helpful and very nice! The room was clean and very nice! Overall I was very happy with my stay!
The room smelled like icy-hot, strangely. The smoke alarm was disconnected, and a housekeeper walked into the room once without knocking the day I checked it. The room was pretty clean and wasn't the worst place I've stayed at
I was honestly afraid to stay here after reading all of the negative reviews. However, we have had a decent stay. The staff have been thorough and efficient, the room has been kept clean and supplied, and the hotel is easy to access. The continental breakfast is standard. The hotel has been refurbished but shows signs of age, most notably the scent of stale or stagnant water. I haven't seen or heard any disturbances from undesirable visitors. However, you can hear the elevator, ice machine, and doors slamming.
Locations Great for Interstate access. Room was clean but carpet stained. Bathroom was slightly dayed, as far as needing a deep cleaning. Air conditioner was on the fritz, but still worked, just slowly. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel provides a cheap option with the basic amenities. The rooms are in decent shape, with some cosmetic repairs possible. The service is wonderful; staff are pleasant and willing to take care of any customer needs.
Although it is a budget hotel, the Super 8 in Louisville was pretty nice. The room looked like it had recently been redone, they included a breakfast with some good options (and a waffle maker!), the staff were pleasant and helpful, and personally, I thought the pillows were really comfy. It was a great deal for the price. I would definitely stay there again if I go back down to Louisville! Great for people passing through or staying a few nights.
The Super 8 Louisville Airport hotel really is a quite pleasant place to stay. The location is excellent for travelers coming or going to and from the Louisville airport. The room I rented was an executive suite and it had two comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. It was also a well equipped room, coming with a coffee pot, a microwave and a mini fridge and of course a full bathroom. This hotel also offers a free breakfast from 6:00 am to 9:00 am every morning. All in all, a well rounded, quality hotel
Friday Feb. 24, 2017.
I needed a cheap, safe, clean place to spend a night, as i was just passing through. After looking online, many area hotels were booked and full. They had rooms available, so I took one.
Upon check in, they had raised their price per night from $52 to $89 a night, as there was a sports event and car show in town over the weekend. The front desk girl gave me a break as I am a Wyndham rewards member and a AAA member. So I paid $70 plus tax for the night.. I thought I got a deal??
The only staff person I had any dealings with was at check in, and she was courteous, polite and helpful.
I completely agree with the above comments that the halls have the stench of old stale cigarette smoke. Layout of the hotel is odd. There is not easy access to stairs or the elevator in the lobby.
I was in room 339. Upon entry of the room, first thing I noticed was the smell of fresh paint. Although the trim had not yet been done.. The desk was missing an office chair. Other things that stood out at first glance, was a missing towel rack, no covers on light fixtures, and other typical things you may expect during a renovation.
The bed was missing a comforter. It had a sheet, and a thin blanket, no comforter.
Long story short, when I woke the following morning, I was eaten alive by either bedbugs or fleas???
The shower was dirty. It looked like the tub had been refinished at some point, and was peeling up? I wouldnt trust the contractor doing the work to build me a doghouse.
In closing, this place isn't worth the $70 a night I paid to stay there. I wouldn't stay there again for $7 a night.
I am now treating all my luggage to protect against bed bugs and fleas.
Checking out, I didn't bother to report my issues?
I understand they are trying to make changes, but general cleanliness and no bugs in your room should take priority over new paint.
