Love being so close to the beach. Beautiful pool and waterslide. Service is very friendly. I especially am thankful for help with jump starting my vehicle when it did not start in the morning. Saved me time and money!

The Sun Viking Lodge is a wonderful hotel where priceless family memories are made. I've been coming here over 30 years, since a I was a little kid. I continue to visit yearly, now with my own kids and extended family. Friendly staff, clean rooms, lots to do for kids, the beach, and the pools (one with waterslide) make this a place you're sure to enjoy!

The best part of this hotel is being on the beach and the view of the ocean. We were on the seventh floor and it was a bit scary. Some of the outer walls in the hallway didn't seem secure and I wouldn't let my kids go near them. The pools are small but nice. The outside pool has a great slide for kids as well as adults and the staff was very kind and helpful.

Two nice pools, one outside with a slide for the kids, one inside if the weather is not good. To warm up they have a hot pot. Rooms are spacious and clean, but the carpet is a little sticky. Beds are ok. Nice view on the sea. Lots of shops around.

This hotel/motel is a perfect getaway for families. Their oceanfront rooms offer amazing views, with private balconies that let you take in the sunrise over the Atlantic. There are two awesome pools: one indoor and one outdoor. The 60-foot water slide (length, not height) is their claim to fame but both pools are very nice. The indoor pool has a waterfall and goes to a depth of 6 feet; the outdoor pool gets to 8.5 feet deep. There are also plenty of sponsored activities such as outdoor family movies, face painting, limbo contests, basketball and a lot more, if that's your thing. Rooms are clean and updated. We stayed in a one bedroom oceanfront suite. It had an amazing view from two windows and the balcony. There was a nice kitchen with a stove, full size fridge, microwave, plates, pans, utensils, etc. There was a spacious bathroom plus an additional sink and mirror outside the bathroom. If you're traveling with a family, you'd have a hard time finding a better deal or more entertaining and laid back destination around Daytona Beach. My advice: pay the extra for oceanfront and enjoy your time in paradise.

Beautiful place right on Daytona Beach. Very family friendly and a perfect place for your kids. They have acctivies for the kids so Mom and Dad can relax!! Recommend the newer building though. We have stayed in both and the newer building is much nicer.

My family and I have been coming here every summer for the last 7 years. The game room is now 3 Xboxes with several good games. The children activities have always been fun. Good gifts from bingo. I would recommend this place for anyone with kids. No bar for adults.

They charge FOR EVERYTHING at the hotel. if you have more than 2 kids they charge you $5 per kid. if you have a family member that comes bye to visit you and they want to sit by the pool with you that is going to cost you $5. The hotel is kinda ran down the pictures they show on there website have had some professional editing. our microwave did not work in our room ether. We showed up late 8pm like we told the front desk we would and they promised to have a crib waiting in the room for my 9 month old baby who was asleep when we got there and there was no crib to be seen in our room. just a bad experience all together

The room I rented at the Sun Viking Lodge Was decent for the most part. 2 beds, one sink to clean dishes, and a shower. I can say anything about service wise on the phone but when I went to rent a room for my family they were very kind and nice and gave me no hassle. The pool was great it had access to the beach I recommend this place for people that's not that rich but wants to have a good time with family. In total I rate this place a 4 star.

Sun Viking Lodge is a very nice place to stay. Clean and quiet. Beautiful view of the ocean and beach from our balcony as we enjoyed the breezes. We ate breakfast at the Kafe each morning and found it to be tasty, reasonably priced and convenient. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Grounds are kept clean. Outside furniture is washed down every morning so you know it's fresh. We have stayed here before and look forward to going back soon!.
