First of all, I am only giving this a star because I have to. Please, please save yourself the trouble and look somewhere else to stay. The experience my family and I went through on New Year's Eve was absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous. My dad got married on New Year's Eve, the conference center they advertised had him pay for actually burnt down a year ago! So he was forced to find a place last minute to try and have a wedding, luckily he arrived a few days early to check on it. When my other family members and myself arrive the day of the wedding to check into our cabin we were unable to get into our cabin because the door lock needed to reset, it took about two hours to wait on maintenance to fix it, in the meantime we go ahead and go to a wedding only wearing the clothes from our road trip since we had no cabin to get ready in. As the night goes on it starts snowing, just a light snow but cold enough that everything freezes, as we proceed back to try and check into our cabin ( about 930 at night now and still haven't stepped foot into our cabin) we can't even get up the hill that leads us to the cabin, and told that we were basically out of luck. That they were TOLD that the roads were salted and there is nothing else they can do. My boyfriend does snow for a living!! He can tell you there was absolutely no salt on that road. People were stuck coming down from there cabins. I don't understand how a resort that big and deals with snow every year doesn't have some sort organization for these situations. The only people running that office might as well be teenagers. It was as if no one was actually running this place, there were other families sitting there asking the same question, no one had answers and then we finally give up and ask for a refund so we can just find a motel room, and they had the nerve to argue about a refund when we hadn't even stepped foot in this cabin! I was so upset by the end of this night, I just wanted to have a nice time and we were just treated like idiots, I have stayed with multiple cabin companies and this is by far the worst. And be aware that this resort is apart of cabins of the smokies and they have multiple resorts under the same ownership, just avoid this company completely is my advice.
Nice Cabins. Very Clean. GREAT Staff. Our family loves the spacious cabins especially Cypress Lodge. I must say very honest too. Our daughter forgot and left some cash in a drawer. She called them, they found it ax nd sent it to us.
We have stayed at Gatlinburg Falls many times and never experienced a stay long me this. Our Cabin is supplied with less than adequate kitchen supplies. If you rent better pack everything u will need including a measuring cup. There is 1 plastic bowl u can use and absolutely no other supplies except one frying pan (small). No broom to even sweep the floor and shower/tub appears never to have been cleaned. This is Magic Moments and could be a great place to stay for d improved. Hope this will be taken as constructive criticism and not negative !
We had such an awesome experience, we just had to share. We rented a cabin for our wedding in October and was thrilled to discover this amazing Wedding/ Conference Center that we were able to use right there. The views were breathtaking and we were so impressed by all the amenities. Regarding our cabin experience, the staff was so friendly and efficient. Upon arrival, we were surprised to have "trip cash" right on our cabin countertop. It really helped with our trip expenses. Everything in the cabin was so comfortable and luxurious. It was awesome that it seemed to have everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. Regarding the Wedding Center, it was gorgeous and new. The staff was so helpful in accommodating our special day. That place had several tables and chairs to set up as you please. There was also a kitchen area with huge refrigerators and stoves. This made all of our prep work so easy. We didn't stress a thing and everyone had an amazing time. We definitely look forward to booking future vacations and events here.
Great place for large groups! Each house has a hot tub, some have multiple. Whole community is walkable and safe. Cabins have lots of amenities including pool tables, air hockey, foosball table pinball and old video game consoles. I visited the Best views and Movies cabin, which features an in home movie theater and the view below. Some cabins are great for family getaways while others could be great for couples, including one that has a heart shaped bathtub. Cabins were clean and homey and the front desk people were very friendly.
Absolutely loved our stay this year. Every year we take a family vacation with more than 10 people and this was the first year we were actually able to enjoy a space that fits everyone. The cabin was huge, and have the adults and kids and area to enjoy. We loved the location, we were located in pigeon forge and great access to back roads to avoid the heavy traffic on parkway! Can’t wait to plan our next trip back!
A week prior to our arrival I called to make a payment. At that time, the young lady who took my payment also took an extra 508.00 dollars. I immediately notice and contacted them, I was told it would only take a few hours and I’d see my money back in my account. 5 days later the money showed back up in my account. I understand mistakes happen and was just happy to have the money back. Upon arrival/check in we paid our remaining balance of 378.00 and at that time the young lady again took 2 payments of 378.00! She stated that the money should be back with in 24-48 hours. Well here it is 5 days later and still now refund. What was most upsetting is this was money we had saved up for this vacation. To be away from home and have money you’ve budgeted for a vacation taken from you is very upsetting. The lady at the counter was not helpful in anyway so I requested to speak with her boss. This lady was also very unprofessional stating over and over how it wasn’t their fault and accident happen. I understand things do happen but twice in a week to the same person? That was nearly a 1000 dollars deducted from my account without my permissions and I get a sorry we didn’t do it on purpose? To make matters worse, I received a courtesy call asking how our stay was going, I gave that lady a run down of my issue and someone was suppose to call me back. I’m still waiting on that call.
For the price you pay for these cabins + a cleaning I was shocked at the condition of the cabin. Cabin was semi clean, dishes were filthy, hide away are terrible, no extra garbage bags, the cabin is a 15 person cabin and had 2 bowls in the entire cabin. I’m so disappointed in my stay.
Sadly, I will never recommend this resort to anyone. It’s a beautiful place with gorgeous views but is poorly ran.
Our family of six stayed at G-burg Falls for a weekend getaway and it was perfect! The game room was a weekend favorite for our four children (ages 4-9) and kept them entertained for several hours a day. As a large family, we have a difficult time finding accommodations that suits us in regards to size and a functional kitchen. The bedrooms were great with king size beds/bunk beds and the kitchen had every essential tools you may need to prepare meals. We would recommended this resort, the views were incredible, the location was convenient with easy access to the downtown strip of Gatlinburg, and most importantly it was very well taken care of.
Great first time visit
We recently stayed in a cabin which advertised "Great Mountain Views. We were extremely pleased with the view! The inside of the cabin was exactly as shown on line. I was concerned about the privacy since there was a cabin within close proximity but the cabin we stayed in was aligned in such a way that when you were on your deck it was still private from the other cabin's view. Nice location, close enough to get to tourist areas if you wanted to but secluded country setting for relaxation. It was a slow check in process because of other events occurring in the cities during our stay. We were not provided our location and check in details until 3 hours after the 4 pm check in time, which was very disappointing. An offer for a late check out would have been nice, since we lost that many hours during check in. Few things not in the kitchen (potholders, container with lids). Other than these few things, which is the reason for not rating a 5, everything else was Excellent! Definitely plan to visit again.
We stayed in the cabin Peaceful Easy Feeling and we were very disappointed to find out upon arrival that it was in the middle of a construction zone. The noise of the construction woke us each morning and dumpsters, building materials and workers were our mountaintop view for the week. This information should have been disclosed at booking. Be careful of nails on the road, we found one by our tire when leaving.
The cabin itself was not cleaned well! Lights didn't work, hot tub smelled, and the dishwasher smelled like sewage and held water. We asked for the dishwasher to be fixed because of the horrid smell and it was- two days into our stay.
There are no sheets for the couch beds if you need this additional sleeping option, which we did and had to use a blanket to cover mattress.
Mattresses on all beds are very very worn!!! If we vacation in this area again we will NOT stay here!
We stayed at the Secluded Paradise cabin near Pigeon Forge. Cabin was comfy for the two of us, clean inside, hot tub was great and rocking chairs on the deck were god for morning coffee and evening relaxing after hiking the National Forest all day. Outside needed a good trash policing, lots of little stuff left by past guests. The name was a little misleading as it wasn't quite as secluded as I hoped for. All in all it was a good place to stay and I was able to reach the office one time with no problem.
We were very disappointed. Our first cabin was like walking into a frat house. Stunk, stained carpets, old stained furnishings. I told my kids not to sit anywhere & go back to the car. We asked to be moved to another cabin, and it was not any better. Pulled up to the cabin & there was trash strewn everywhere. I understood animals can get into the cans, but more care should be taken in cleaning it up. Everything is filthy & worn. The staff was nice, but very disappointed & would never recommend.
Great weekend getaway! The place was beautiful and tons of room. Lots to do with games and pool table, hot tub, 3 porches with a swing and rocking chairs. Private yet close to town. Loved it! The office staff were very helpful and the cabin was well taken care of. Next time I wanna bring my kids. They will love it.
My husband and I just wanted a relaxing time away from work and home. we stayed at Gatlinburg Falls Resort a lovely cabin named Heavenly Heights. It was prefect for the two of us( also if we had two children to entertain- great game room and bedding). This cabin was cozy with fireplace and hot tub , very clean and comfy bed. Didn't get to see beautiful view of the mountains until sunrise the next morning, coffee on the deck was prefect. Would love to be back again this week-end !! Would recommend to couples and families anytime.
P.S. Some may think fire was every where, resort showed very little damage and Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains almost no signs of fire. You should visit and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and spend some money to help those that got hit. Tip generously.
