Great little place off the beaten path. Within walking distance to Fremont Street. Rooms were clean and new. Updated and modern. Will make this my Vegas hotel of choice!

Room was small. They made a bathroom. The shower was a corner of the bathroom. AWKWARD!!! The pictures are not true and correct. I booked a double bed room. I was really disappointed. I have to add that this is the same place a girl found dead In the cistern (water tank) on top of the building several years ago. :(

Thanks for the laughs I needed that. I was reading something on this hotel. It is very upsetting as to the incidentals that took place in this establishment over the many years, but the truth remains that there are places that have experienced more deaths in a day than this hotel will in its lifetime. I'm guessing that the last death it will see is it's own. If it's close for good, that we'll know of. The stars are for the entertainment from previous posts.

I stayed here for one night in mid August of 2014 I knew about the reputation this building had. The room was comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed the continental breakfast the next morning, the hotel was a short taxi cab ride to Union station. I paid extra for a private bathroom. People exagerate. I would stay here again.

Richard Ramirez and I kicked it here in room 1408 in the mid 80' s. We drank some Evan Williams, hit the pipe and did a lil prowling. Man, those were some heady times;)

HelloMcBride? This is where Elisa Lam was found in the water tank! Look it up. It took the "hotel" 3 weeks before they told guests that they were drinking corpse water. I also wanted to add that I'm a bit skeptical on some of these 3, 4 and 5 star reviews. The hotel is on L.A.'s Skid Row and the lobby is full of homeless people a lot times. Add to that, the fact that L.A. is in the middle of Hep A outbreak. (Just don't stay here!) Either the guests that stay here have never stayed in a nice hotel before in a nice area, or, they're ok with staying in a dump.

AKA "Cecil Hotel" This place is permanently closed. I never stayed here but walked around the historical and spacious, marble-covered lobby. It's hard for me to give it such a poor review as it was one of the few truly haunted places in LA and so ingrained in LA culture. American Horror Story's Hotel season was based on this notorious building. Read up on it, better than any horror movie you'll see.

Myself and two friends stayed here a while back. the service was around the clock. They even stand at the end of your bed and watch you sleep. The tap water is more like flat cola but still delightful in a cup of tea - only if you ad a few more sugars than you usually would. the hotel runs it own activities such as hide and seek with the room furniture and you would sometimes wake up in other rooms. overall a rather good experience.

I stayed at this hotel and when I opened the door to my room it immediately hit the bed lol. No space what so ever. But a few fun facts about this hotel: it is super creepy, some people actually live there, about two serial killers have lived there before like Richard Ramirez aka the night stalker, multiple people have jumped off a few floors and last but not least this is where Elisa Lam drowned in the water tank- How did she end up in the water tank? No one knows, not even hotel staff 🤷🏽. It has a college dorm room feel aside from all the druggies living there too but the rooms look nothing like the pictureshappy stay!

I really loved this place. My room was very clean and cozy. Within walking distance to many tourist attractions. I'll definitely be back.

I have only spent one night but I loved my room. Perfectly clean, big and inviting to rest. They let me check-in earlier than the usual time. They have shuttle to the airport running every 15 minutes.

The area around 6th and Main is up and coming fast. Within walking distance there's so much to see and do. The restaurants range from sub-$10 to $30 because I the area is in transition.

It's certainly a great hotel for it's price point. I found it pretty welcoming and clean. The rooms aren't so big, but they provide the essential needs. I recommend it for anyone looking to for an affordable place to spend the night.
