Simple, clean and affordable. Central location and walking distance to subway. Front desk was helpful and provided a desktop computer for printing needs. Will stay again.

I thought the people their we so great they helped me in the middle of the night. The people made the rooms very comfortable. They also helped a lot with the supplies of things. The pay rent for the hotel was great was so much worth our money need to go again.

Overall nice stay. The rooms were small but clean. There were vending machines and ice machines. Great location, all of the downtown greats were within walking distance. The cafe next door was excellent. My complaints were the place to park was not easy to find, so just do valet, it is free. The building was full load not so great smells, and sounds travelled quite easily through the walls.

What a great find. The rooms are small, but the space is well used and comfortable. The location is the main reason to choose this hotel. There are so many good attractions that are within walking distance and the Metro Subway is just across the street. Some people may not like the parking situation, but if you are willing to walk a bit you can save a bunch.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

Stayed here for the E3 convention; two people for the room that had two separate beds.

Firstly; location was perfect, not just for the convention, but also touring LA itself.

Secondly; the price was fantastic compared to the rest of the downtown area, and it was a very nice looking and clean hotel.

And lastly; the staff were fantastic. A special shout out to Derek, the night clerk that drew out directions to all the best places to see in LA.

Yes; the rooms were a bit small especially for double occupancy. But given the three main points in this list, it should hardly matter. All the bad reviews sound like people expecting "The Hilton" experience; so maybe they should've stayed there for quadruple the price per night.
We're not spending much time in the room anyways; so the size didn't really matter. It has a full three piece bathroom and air conditioning, and coming back to a nice clean room is the main thing. It's also a smoke free hotel; I smoke, but I understand others not wanting the stench. There was easy access to a designated smoking area out front of the hotel.

We will definitely book again with Kawada next time we're in the city.

Staff was nice and the lobby was as well. The room felt like a college dorm room though on the cheap. It was clean but thin walls with noisy neighbors. Bed sheets were thin and the room was dinky. Would go back in a pinch but prefer a little nicer place.

I've had a room booked with this hotel for a few months now (for June) and have called a few times to ask about new negative reviews and to confirm my reservation, and I have to say the employees each and every time have been respectful, helpful and a down right pleasure to speak with. I cannot wait to check in to what I'm sure will be an inviting environment with a professional staff. Will update my review with images and compliments after check-in/check-out

Great central location. Reasonable price. Rooms quite small. Pictures make place look nicer than reality. Just bear that in mind when booking.

Staff were very friendly and always happy to help with directions or answer questions. Rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished with TV, microwave, and fridge. Location is very close to public transport (trains, busses) and for via Grand Central market.

The hotel somehow has an air of Japanese serenity, and though our room was small it had all the usual amenities. Best yet, it's a short walk to the Grand Central Market with its many ethnic food vendors, and only a slightly longer trek to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the MOCA. The DASH bus stop is only a block away, and the bus will take seniors all over the downtown area for a quarter! We'd definitely stay there again.
