Finally made it to the Standard while visiting LA!

We didn't realize that the rooftop opens at a certain time but (thankfully) came as soon as it opened. We made it all the way to the top and were told by the employees we needed wristbands. We had to exit the hotel and go through the "back side" to get wristbands and pay cover. It was $20 (cash only) per person which wasn't too bad. It was more of a tacky process if anything.

The food was great, the server was really friendly and attentive and service was fast. I'd definite come back here.

They just need to be more in tune with one another in terms of knowing what's going on within the hotel. Out of towners like myself, get really disappointed when they can't go grab a drink on the roof and even more so when they're told 4 different times to expect the rooftop to open.

Went to the Rooftop bar at The Standard on a Saturday night with a group of 10. It was a great experience. The views are amazing. The drinks are made with great detail and quality. I would recommend if you have some money to spend and want to have a good time in DTLA. This is a place you'll want to spend all night at (instead of bar hopping around) I'll definitely be back.

The Standard really is a different genre of hotel all together. I consider it an art hotel. Not everything makes sense but it is interesting none the less. See through showers, bath tubs in the middle of the room, and fun signage everywhere help make this place go beyond.

I've been to this place many times. It's always a good time and you meet plenty of interesting people. The security guards are sweethearts, the bartenders are busy all the time so you can't judge them for not giving you more time but they're nice. The only problem me and other people have had is with the attituted of people downstairs selling the wrist bands and organizing the lines. They've made some rude comments about people's outfits or ethnic origins. Besides that, The Standard is great, beautiful location, great bottle service and a good selection of drinks. The decoration is very modern and I love that they sometimes have live performers.

Do not stay here if you plan on working in any capacity the following morning. EVERY NIGHT there is a rooftop party which hosts a live DJ. Music pounds through the hotel until 2 am EVERY NIGHT. Ear plugs and white noise apps do not work. I asked for a quiet room but there is no such thing at this hotel. This hotel is for the twenty-somethings who love to party and enjoy 70s style decor. Overly priced as well. Would not stay here again EVER.

Such a cool spot! Ping pong tables available to reserve so friends can play while socializing. Roof top bar offers amazing views! Cozy fireside seating available on main floor. So many options to choose from! Hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous!

Great view, interesting vibe. The drink prices were on par with what to expect from a rooftop bar (8-10 for a beer, mid teens for a mixed drink). Casual vibe. There's a swimming pool and locker room. Seating around the pool. Cool pod things you can lounge in which were unfortunately all occupied.

After dealing with all the traffic, construction and street closures, finally arrived to what we imagined would be a unique breakfast experience. The lobby and restaurant were nicely appointed, we were sat immediately and the server was very friendlyso far so good.

The plate selections and food quality were average at best, with a price tag of $74 for the 3 of us, plus tip and a $9 parking fee.

With all the great restaurant options in downtown LA, we will not be revisiting this place anytime soon.

Excellent and friendly service! The weekend nights essentially had a bouncer outside the elevators who would check if you were on the guest list before letting you on. I personally found this experience amusing.

Our room had the very interesting shower that's in clear view of the bedroom. It's definitely a plus if you're going with your significant other, but understandably (and hilariously) awkward if you're just with a buddy. The latter is how we got our room in a full vacancy weekend, so be mindful of that.

The room design and decor is very modern and is a refreshing take on the contemporary hotel room. The garbage bin is tilted diagonally around 30 degrees, if that's an indicator of how hip this place is.

Very cool experience, nice room and unique vibe. Clean and comfortable. The glass enclosed shower visible to the rest of the room isn't for everyone, but it's a fun effect and experience. The rooftop pool party included with the stay was very unique and fun and offers amazing views both of the city and the stylish crowd staying there.

Great view of the city. Great ambiance and atmosphere. Mostly importantly to me: great booking. Wolfey player some wonderful music and a I had a great time. The lost star is that drinks were so marked up. Maybe this is typical for LA, but - if so - I'm new to the area so I haven't fully adjusted yet.

The hotel was nice and the room was spacious (which can be hard to find in any city). Checking in and out were a breeze. The included hotel amenities were basic (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion) and they had a few items for purchase (mini bar, snacks, shaving kits, cds, etc). The mini bar had a variety of liquors, beers, and wines, which was nice. Unfortunately, I had to take one star off because you can hear everything outside. Where they are located, there was some work being done on top of metal plates in the road (which you can hear cars going over). Two things to note before booking: 1. the beds are kind of on the floor (well, on a platform) 2. The shower has a glass (not frosted) wall into the bedroom portion. While I didn't get to take it in, they have a 24 hour restaurant/lounge which is convenient for those coming in late or leaving early. Either way, would definitely recommend.

Went to the Standard Hotel for a party at their bar, and I had a good time! The attraction here is to play childhood favourites and ping-pong while having a cocktail. The bartenders were friendly and fun, and they mixed some pretty good drinks (definitely if you're an old fashioned fan, try one of the house old fashioned because they get the flavouring correct). We spent a while here and everyone had a great time. Would recommend!

Blast from the 90s
The contemporary design from the 90s still stands clear in all of the hotel and on the rooftop with its clean lines, neon lights, and curvy chairs. With how much this place makes, you'd think it would have bought itself a face lift like all of its competitors. It's located in a pretty great spot in downtown LA, pretty much central and walking distance to every portion of downtown.

Room-y and nude-y
The rooms are quite spacious for a downtown hotel. The only thing that is a little strange is that some of the rooms have a large window from the sleeping area into the bathroom shower. In other words, you can sit on your bed and watch someone shower. Weird, unless you're into that stuff. Some of the corner rooms don't have that but the shower area is not closed off with any sort of door, it's just around a wall. So the rooms are not that user friendly if you're not living with a lover.

Bring it on Ping Pong (@Spin)
For all the people who can't make it onto the rooftop bar, the ping pong lounge "Spin" is always a great and chill place to go and it's a guarantee entrance. Weekend nights it gets pretty packed and there's also a bar and you can order food. Ping pong tables will run you about $25 an hour and it's cosmic!
