I came to visit friends from out of town who were staying at the hotel. We decided to eat downstairs in their eating area. They had the game on so I totally agreed. Walking through the hotel, we were greeted by various hotel workers. At the bottom floor restaurant we received top quality service. The food was good, the service was great, they had the game playing, everything was clean and tidy, the employees were nice, friendly and courteous. If I was coming from our of town, I would cost this hotel as well as recommend to other. My family had a great experience.
The hotel is elegant and has great pool side with jacuzzi. Rooms are spacious and modern. Great view. Staff were friendly and professional.
I attended a professional development seminar hosted at the Marriott. The facilities were clean and well-kept. I have no complaints. It was a pleasant visit.
We did not enjoy our stay here. The shower was lukewarm at best. When we arrived, my wife and I were expecting a king size bed and instead we ended up in a room with two double beds and were told they didn't have anymore king size beds. We asked for the comforter to be changed since it had a stain. They dropped off a comforter on the bed rather than changing it. The carpet was dirty with pieces of food and hairpins in it. A smoke alarm randomly went off late at night on out first night there. Cigarette butts on the balcony.
Great location to take the trolley. Rio Vista (Green Line) trolley stop across the street
If you book your room calling the Marriott 800 number, their rates/promotions didn’t match when we checked in on 10/14/17. Zach, the desk clerk got stuck and couldn’t function despite the growing line of customers behind me. I said this was turning into an ugly customer service experience as he offered to take $10 off, but not waive the $25 parking fee. That was not what we had booked so I stood my ground. I told him to waive the parking fee, honor our rate as quoted by Marriott‘s telephone booking and get us into our room. That snapped him out of it. A call back to corporate confirmed there was a coding glitch between booking by phone and what the hotel could see on their end, so poor Zach had a right to be confused 😪. Other than that I thought the hotel room and grounds were perfect ! The soap, shampoo and lotions in the bathroom were divine.. wish they sold candles in that scent. Thanks Marriott 💕
I liked this place. The place is clean and very accommodating. There is a lot to do at the hotel as there is a pool, gym, and other activities on site. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Check out was easy and the location of the hotel is 20 minutes from anywhere in San Diego.
Staff was prompt and polite. Hotel grounds are beautiful. Very spacious and great amenities for a business meeting or small vacay. Easy to get to and lots of shops and eateries close by. However, everywhere I went there was a weird smell. A different weird smell everywhere too. Rooms are small, but most have a balcony with view of the sunrise, or the hotel pool. No seating on the balcony. Standing room only. It's not a bad hotel, but if you looking for a nice hotel, look elsewhere.
Currently still being renovated. Looks nice so far. Rooms are nice with comfy beds. The staff was really great especially the gentleman at the valet.
This is a great full service Marriott. The lounge was pretty crowded, but the front desk staff were amazing to work with. Fantastic service. On-site parking is pricey, but the location is great. Easy access to the freeway for getting around town.
Great staff, clean large rooms with nice balcony’s. Great pool area. However, some things don’t live up the the Marriott brand. They were always out of towels by the pool. The fabric on the loungers by the pool were dirty and ripped. Concierge lounge was out of the basics at breakfast. Peeling wallpaper in the hallways.
$25 parking was a shock! The lobby is under construction, which may turn out nice but isn't now. The pool area is nice. Nice staff. But they nickel and dime you to death.
Lovely hotel. Nice view. Good service from everyone. The housekeeping staff was incredibly friendly and always has a smile and kind word whenever I saw them. Greeters were helpful as well!
Good hotel that was hosting a conference I attended for work. I also stayed therefor three nights while attending the event. Rooms were clean and they had an on-site restaurant and a nice pool/fitness area. I had an very large case sent a week early for our exhibit hall booth and they had no problem holding it for me in their shipping/receiving area. They even had someone deliver it to my booth location and pick it up at the end of the conference and hold it for FedEx pick-up the next day. Great customer service and I would recommend the venue for future events/stays.
Form the arrival at the valet to check out this resort is first class
The quality of staff at this resort is amazing they are extremely friendly and helpful
The grounds the pool and the entire outside of this hotel is in perfect condition.
My rooms was an upgraded king with pool view it was amazing, clean and professionally decorated. A little taste of paradise in the spa and the staff there were awesome I was only doing one treatment yet they made me fell like I was the most important person there. I wish I had stayed another night but I was just coming though on my way up the coast
Just the 5 star treatment, all around. Cassie got me checked in and feeling welcome and helped me with an upgrade even though the regular room was perfectly reasonable and enough, but I figured for fun because she was awesome at the desk. Stevie Nicks note on the wall definitely a highlight. Everyone was cool, and not nearly as stuffy as the hilton. Foods great, chill atmosphere. Loved the artwork. Spa had a skilled sports massage therapist for a knee issue. Good people all around.. and normally I can't stand using these sites for reviews, but they were that good. :)
