We had issues with out first suite in which we had kindly been upgraded to by Angelica at the front desk. Andrew the front desk manager came through big time and moved us to a Marina Suite which I highly suggest staying in if you have a family of 3 or more. A room facing the Harbour and the beauty of Mission Bay was exceptional. This Hotel is in a great spot as we loved the short distance to Ocean beach and DT SD isn't that far either. The pool area is phenomenal and the "Swim" bar and staff are attentive and professional. I've stayed at more "prestigious" Hotels but service is what separates and for that it's 5 stars.
Nice hotel right on Mission bay just a bridge across from Mission Beach and Belmont Park and The Sandbar. The hotel was remodeled a few years ago and looks really good especially the pool and outside bar area! Also the pool has water slide and is kid friendly. A really cool feature is the Hyatt Regency Marina here on Mission Bay. If you have a boat to park here or are lucky enough to know someone who has a slip here then you are able to access all of the services of the hotel right on your boat. This includes room service towels and so on. Fun place here at the Hyatt
I was so pleased with the staff and service here. My room was great! Large. The bed was firm, which I love. The swim lounge was delicious. The buffalo chicken wrap was amazing. My only complaint is that I would've been able to see the water from my room and there was this tent there all 3 days we were there and that kind of killed the relaxing vibe I wanted. Overall, though, I was super thrilled.
In my teens, my family took us here for a 2 night stay and it's one of my better hotel memories growing up.
Walking distance to Sea World, and of course the San Diego sandy beach. The active pier is a plus.
There is an elite club on the top floor with complementary treats, as well as a restaurant on the first floor.
Pool and gym are outstanding, especially gym which is on the water of the bay.
Really great place to make memories with your family, highly recommended!
The resort was very nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spacious with a beautiful view of the marina and Bay. The amenities are great as well. The pool is clean and is big enough to fit lots of guests. The spa is nice and the service is wonderful. Just a few blocks from Sea World which makes it a great vacation spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away and feel as if they are in paradise.
The views and location are great. We had a Bayview suite that was great for our family. The only issue that we had was the room was a little dirty and had a funny smell when we moved in. The cleaning crew took care of it the next day, so all was well for the rest of our stay.
Love everything about this place. 5 star service. Gorgeous views of the ocean and Mission Bay. Pool, slides, spa, and all of the amenities of a destination location. Hope to get back here again soon!
$840 For four nights Pros: Great location. Fast delivery from staff when we requested supplies. Room service lady would always say hello and goodbye. The market place, which was a low-key coffee/breakfast joint, was reasonably priced with outdoor seating with a Bay view. Poolside bar let us stay awhile after closing so we could finish our drinks Cons: Hair on toilet seat when we first arrived Shower door wouldn't stay closed while showering (It kept rolling open and letting water onto the floor) Bedsheets had old stains on them The closet's motion sensor light would turn on and off randomly (you would keep hearing the clicking noise) Minimal places to put your clothes. We used the 10 hangers provided in the closet but everything else had to fit into the night stand between the two beds (two very small drawers). TV stand smelled like old wood. The parking lot's hotel card reader didn't work properly. We always had trouble getting in and out. The cards worked fine at the hotel room though.
Had a great experience at this hotel. The view was amazing from the tower. The room was clean and tidy. All of the staff were helpful and accommodating. If I returned to San Diego I would definitely try to stay here again.
It was beautiful! I took many long walks through the grounds, along the marina, and along the bay. Very peaceful.
My favorite employee was actually our maid! She was so sweet and cheerful, and did so much to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The restaurant on the grounds was very nice, a great view and good food, but it was more expensive than it needed to be.
The only unattractive part was the walk to our room in the annex building. You have to pass through the parking lot. I don't know how they could make it safer or more attractive, but I really disliked that walk.
Again, a big kudos to the ground keepers ; the plants and trees and paths were well kept, clean, and beautiful!
The hotel views are great. Walking distance to a great park and some decent restaurants. The hotel could stand a little remodel, but everything works fine. What makes it stand out to me was the staff. Super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help with anything. I was especially appreciative of Marty at the front desk. Marty helped us find places to eat and things to do. I would definitely stay here again.
Room was clean and large. Beautiful pool area with jacuzzi and poolside bar/snack restaurant. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey but very good with nice views of the marina. And there was a Pokemon gym on the pool which we could access from our room in Bay 2! Short drive to downtown San Diego and Coronado island. Definitely would book again.
Well we checked in and they gave away our hotel room and tried to say they didn't. We booked 2 rooms, one king a bed and one with 2 queens we had to compensate with 2 king rooms and we had to order a crappy little cot which we had call the lobby multiple times to get a blanket for and could only supply us with a comforter which we had to call for multiple times. The beds themselves also sucked, old mattresses with thin useless blankets. We asked for a good restaurant recommendation and they sent us to JRDN and we got a rude welcome there and the food was also sub par. When we came back my wife and mother each ordered a bottle of wine which took multiple calls to the lobby just to get a cork screw. We then ordered room service, Caesar salad with chicken and received zero chicken. I ordered a brisket sandwich and received some kind of pulled beef sandwich that did not live up to the description. This place needs a tune up. Not sure if I will use Hyatt again.
A beautiful hotel with friendly front desk staff and concierge people. They have a tower with the best views in the Mission Bay area.It may still have a shuttle Boat to Sea World. No better way to get there!
Better check but Sea World is just a few blocks away.
They have three pools with 3 slides total and a fire pit and a pool side bar with some food items.
They also have a great Spa and wonderful Gift shop.
Not a terrible experience but the hotel was just OK. By the time you pay the $25 per day resort fee and the $40 per parking, I think you can get a better bang for you buck somewhere else. The pool area was nice and the kids had fun with the water slides but the room we were in, the ocean side suites that are unattached, we pretty old. The carpet literally turned the bottoms of my socks and feet black which was pretty disgusting. Didn't hate it, but most likely will not be staying there again.
