I booked a bay view studio. The room is huge! A king bed, a sofa bed, a table with 2 chairs, bar stools that are part of small kitchen. Kitchen has some basic utensils and pans, stove, frig, and microwave. Nice large balcony. Bathroom dated and worn out. Plugs for electronics hard to get to. Furniture worn out. That said, I still love this hotel. A short walk to Mission Beach and Belmont Park. A short drive to Sea World and Old Town. Bahia has a private beach. Staff is amazing. Kevin, Front Desk Supervisor, was excellent. Staff all saying hello and smiling.

We went here for a retreat with T.A.P.S. the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, with plenty of towels. We had an ocean view room which we really enjoyed. The food was buffet style and very tasty. We would come back as a family to stay again.

Love this resort. The staff is fabulous. Tennis courts in great shape. Jacuzzi has strong jets. Heated pool. Clean. Updated room. Breakfast on property was really good. I was worried when I saw a few of the negative reviews. An employee said that those were old and they have worked really hard to fix what was posted. We will be back.

I attended a wedding there. The lawn where the ceremony was held was beautiful, well maintained. The wedding went smoothly and it was well organized. They had a cocktail hour before we went into the reception area which was nice. Would of been a little better had they provided us with some chairs. The reception area was beautiful and eventful.

I was here for a conference that was held at a "higher rated" hotel/resort nearby. I was late to make my reservation at the other place and they were full. I didn't know it, but I lucked out.

The rooms here are clean but unremarkable.
I wasn't here to spend time in my room, and I doubt you will be either. The service and views are top notch. I upgraded to a bay view room, and would recommend the same. After this experience, I'd be hard pressed to stay anywhere else when visiting San Diego.

On a side note, the conference was held at paradise point. People that traveled with me had bed bugs, some had a safe, some had a microwave, some had one but not the other, some didn't have either. One person that didn't have a microwave was charged $20/day for the "luxury".

This place, for my visit, was clean, quiet, friendly, and had great views. The bay view room I stayed in was 14 steps to the sand.

It isn't too far from downtown and it's relatively easy access to that area. Walking distance to the ocean and a nice sand beachhard to beat this place.

Amazing Hotel! Lots of things to do walking distance away. Beautiful grounds around the hotel and well maintained. The pool area is great and the room was very nice. Parking is no problem and the hotel staff have all been very friendly. Definitely returning!

I visit this hotel once a year annually and when never choose any other resort to stay at. If you want relaxation, beautiful surroundings, great stuff, and comfortable state-of-the-art rooms then make sure to take the time to stay at the Bahia Resort. Don't waste your money going anywhere else if it seems to cost a little more than the surrounding hotels. Everything about the Bahia is amazing from the rooms, to the stuff and especially the pool. I live in San Diego and make it a point to stay at the Bahia at least once a year. You surely would not be disappointed

Excellent location right on the bay with the ocean just one block over. The entire property is beautiful and our room had a full kitchen. All staff was extremely friendly. There was plenty to do for free, including a swimming pool, arcade, boat rides and family movies. There is also a great on site restaurant. We stayed for 3 days and felt like we hadn't done it all yet.

We absolutely LOVE the Bahia Resort! We had our wedding at the Bahia this August and it was amazing! Holly Nelson was our catering manager and she made sure we had the best wedding ever. We looked at almost every wedding venue in San Diego before finding the Bahia which had the most extensive wedding package that included the wedding ceremony and reception for a much lower price than other similar venues. The scenery at the Bahia is breathtaking surrounded by Mission Bay beach, palm trees and they even have 2 rescued seals in a sanctuary. The hotel has a big pool and arcade along with a great restaurant. We had our wedding on the beach front by the Bahia Belle and had the option to do it in a secret garden. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean! The Bahia Belle is a riverboat that travels around the bay at night. Overall, we highly recommend the Bahia Resort for weddings and vacations! Thanks Holly and all the Bahia staff!

Perfect location! Beautiful beaches, good sized rooms, good bar with small dishes (cafe/restaurant is closed midweek in off-season). The kids enjoyed the pool, but too many people (and kids) in the hot tub for it to be enjoyable. The rooms are craving some serious updates though (it's like time travel) and some better scents in the corridors, but it's clean. Such an endearing feature to have two vision impaired rescue seals!

Service was great! We were upgraded to the Bay front room. Room was tight, but the view was not bad. Room was completely dark when we walked in, though. A night light would have been good.

STAY AWAY from this place!! We had booked a 4 night stay. When we got in they gave us a moldy smelling room facing a parking lot! ( we had requested a bay view during the reservation). Furniture in the room looked run down. Carpet and ceiling had stains. Worst part was - we found bunch of bed bugs (see picture below - I put it in a glass) the next morning in the beds!! Freaking disgusting! We checked out ASAP and found a 3 bedroom oceanfront town home for the same price!!
Would never recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed 2 nights at the Bahia Resort in San Diego, and had an excellent experience. Firstly, we were upgraded from our reserved Garden View room to a Bay View suite. The room was great, a nice view, very clean, and a great little kitchenette. Very close to SeaWorld as well as walking distance to Belmont Park. The resort had great facilities such as a great pool and hot tub, gym, arcade, gift shop, tennis courts and a great paddle wheeler for an hour long cruise around Mission Bay. Free parking and some great food were a bonus. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend!

I loved this place.
I'm a Portland native with a blue collar career and have been to fancier hotels, but this place was great for the price. The service staff was fantastic: helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about local things.The cleaning and ground keeping staff was amazing and friendly; the place looked great from my made bed to the clean streets to the combed beach.
The beer, wine and cocktail selection was great as well with some really good local beers I'd never heard of (I work in craft beer at home). The only thing keeping me from that fifth star was a lack vegetarian options on the menu.
Keep up the great work you all!
