Staff were polite, answering all questions, accommodating all needs. We did see a cockroach in our room, so just letting people who are afraid of stuff like that. The location of it was great though, especially for night parking if you travel by car.

Probably wouldn't want to come back.

Great boutique-ish hotel on the upper west side. Perfect location to catch the train at 96th St. Would definitely stay again, very reasonable prices even with short notice. I would recommend asking for a room in the back away from the street though.

Sort of set up like a college dorm. Small rooms, the hotel seems small period. Shared bathroom with the entire floor. Not really worth the price because for a couple bucks more you could probably get a better hotel. Also seems dirty & old. But the staff is nice!

Nice location and friendly staff; however, we got locked inside of our room 3 times after the lock was "fixed". They ended up replacing the handle altogether within a reasonable time. Small rooms with limited ameneties, but it's Manhattan: go see the city. Would recommend again for the price.

For the price of the hotel (on Groupon) with such short notice it was not terrible. The front desk service was pleasant, and housekeeping was good. We were able to store our backpacks there during the day free of charge while we explored NYC. We only stayed one night. It was a place to sleep. The pillows were actually pretty comfortable, but the bed not so much. We booked a room that had a shared bathroom with strangers, and there were no issues.

Very cool and standard hotel well accommodated in which my ATM credit card can't give up to the amount to balance my bill but with help of manager i got money transfer from Nigeria and it was well handled and I come back alive,in fact I enjoy stay in Royal Park Hotel.

Pretty good hotel for the price. The location isn't bad either as you're only a train ride away from the heart of the city.

I stayed here with my family (parents and my godparents). My parents along with my sister and I stayed in one room. My godparents stayed in another room. My room had two beds, a sink, a refrigerator, but no bathroom or shower. The bathroom and shower were just outside in the hallway to be shared by other hotel clients. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was not so great. In the bathroom I saw 3 bugs. The beds were very hard and made lots of noise. As for my godparents room they stayed in a one bed room. The size of the room was too small and only had just enough space for the bed. All the reviews under here seem to be made by hotel staff because everyone I spoke to during my stay disliked the hotel and had a problem. While some did have bathrooms in the room the room prices were the same. Highly recommend paying the extra money for a better hotel!

Locations is good, receptionists were very helpful and available 24 hours. It's OK if you just want the room for sleeping. The radiator was super noisy and they could invest in new towels. They were clean but old.

Great location; minutes from a metro, less than 10 minutes from Central Park. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Rooms are nice, especially for the price.
It's not the nicest hotel in NY but you get great value for money.

let me give you the pros and cons to this so please read carefully people

Pros:
It is close to a lot of things, as well as being a good price if you are on a budget. It is also close to the subway, Central Park and not to far from downtown.

Cons:
This place was DIRTY! Had cockroaches, carpets were stained, blankets had yellow stains on them as well(thank god we brought our own towels and blankets) and the staff was rude to their customers. Luckily they were nice to me but it seems like everyday of my stay there was some sort of altercation amongst the customers and staff. On my last day I even witnessed a Latina (which to me seemed to be some sort of manager) yell on top of her lungs to a customer due to a customer's honest mistake. I get it we as customer may get out of control at times but DAMN to see the managers veins almost pop or explode over a innocent mistake is not worth it. Anyways lastly the bathrooms were dirty as well.pretty gross.

Think this carefully before you book !!
