Located in downtown Pittsburgh, visitors are invited to experience the amazing views of the city while relaxing in their luxurious guest rooms. From the first moment I stepped foot into the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel I was in love. The lobby is just so majestic. High ceilings, marble floors, very chic décor, a very accommodating staff is what you can expect. Guest rooms are equipped with the best features to make your stay exceptionally comfortable. Amenities include; luxurious bedding, flat screen TVs w/ cable, complementary WiFi, and beautiful waterfront views.

Atmosphere and ambience we're second to none. Bar was good with several microbrews on tap. Bartenders friendly. Restaurant hosts were courteous and helpful. Waitress was nice, food was excellent, although portions were a bit on the small side. Restrooms were spotless and the entire facility very clean. A friend who was staying there commented that the rooms were dated but very well maintained. Would gladly visit again if given the opportunity. Great place!

Nice location right on the corner. Got breakfast and the food was good. Very strong coffee too! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Service was good and our party of 8 was happy with the service. Manager came out after meal to make sure everything was to our liking.

The hotel was beautiful. Our room was great. But the thing that made the stay a great one was, the fact that they hotel was dog friendly. And when I say dog friendly I mean, everyone was great with our dogs (And we have two pit bulls so you know how that can go). I think our girls (both dogs) wish we would have stayed longer due to all the love they got. Lol.

Amazing older hotel located smack dab in the city!!!!!!!

Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Room service second to none and food here is AMAZING!!!!

Been around the country and stayed at most 5-star hotels, and I can honestly say, this is my favorite.

FYI, you have to stop at Giovanni's Pizza a few door down from the hotel. It is a little pricey, but the atmosphere and staff are kind and very helpful.

    Thanks again Pittsburgh!!!!!

The room had the best view of Pittsburgh I have ever seen. Wrap around windows in a corner king room. Worth every penny. Great buffet. Amazing place to spend a honeymoon night.

From the moment I was greeted at the valet stand to the moment I checked-out, I felt like I was at home. It was my first time going to Pittsburgh and it definitely is not my last. Kellee at the front desk treated me like a long lost sister. She was knowledgeable about this amazing building, the surrounding area and gave me first class service. She walked me to the elevator, all the while, chatting me up as if we had been friends since kindergarten. I will never forget my experience here. This place has a special spot in my heart.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

Stayed a few weeks ago for a wedding. The location was great and the building was absolutely beautiful! We were missing conditioner in the bathroom, not a huge deal and the buffet breakfast was a bit overpriced. The valets were especially courteous, professional and attentive. They were always available, offering to help with directions, our bags, even refreshments on the way home. Really fantastic customer service. We look forward to staying again!

Aesthetically, this is a great hotel. Beautiful lobby elevators and staircases. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Staff seem very friendly. The rooms are large, and ours had a great bay window. The beds are immensely comfortable. Price wise, you don't get much bang for your buck. $275 will get you a room. Breakfast is not included. All other amenities are pretty much that of a bargain hotel. We ended up slightly irritated at the end because a mystery $30 charge appeared on our bill, despite not having ordered any extras. I'd stay here again for a single day trip. But you'd honestly be just as well off staying at a Holiday Inn if you're going to be staying in the city for longer.

Perfect location – convenient to market square, bridges, stadiums, river walk, Point State Park, and downtown Pittsburgh in general. Charming rooms, comfortable beds, soft sheets. Reliable WiFi. And what a cool building! Impressive lobby.

The service was terrible. Period. Replace the staff and this hotel would be five stars all day, but unfortunately it really is the service that makes the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel. Issues encountered: 1. Arriving at 12.30am, let the hotel know in advance that we would need a crib. Via both the original reservation and then a call at 8pm on the night. On arrival, no crib. Called down and was told there were only two staff members working and they were currently attending to another "incident". I was forced to go back down to my car and collect my pack and play. When I did this I returned to see two staff members chatting and laughing, so not sure what was so important to them. 2. Room service plates were outside our neighbors room on arrival and we're still there until around 10am the next day. 3. Internet did not work, was forced to call their IT and spend 15 minutes with them before they realized the issue was on their end and they reset their system. 4. Numerous calls to the front desk for all these issues resulting in long waits for the calls to be answered, and in some cases, not answered at all. 5. Checked in online, requested extra towels. There were no extra towels. 6. Staff consistently seemed to be either too busy to smile and say hello, or they were just uninterested. This is all basic hotel stuff. The crib is a systemic failure, both the reservation and the service rep system. The staff friendliness is management led training and guidance. The lack of staff is just inexcusable for a luxury hotel. Really disappointed with my stay. Very unfortunate as the physical hotel is great.

The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and nice. Really comfortable bed. Only thing i didn't like was the TV. It was a bit of a struggle to change channels etc. Bathrooms are nice with a tub. Tried to get room service around 9 but they must have already closed because no one answered though I read a review saying they were open until 11 You can either pay around $30 dollars a day for someone to park your car or you can be smart and park it in the same parking garage as they will park your car but only pay $7 a day. (Fee for parking garage may be different on Monday-Friday) The hotel is within walking distance to lots of food places as well as the Carnegie Science Center, National Aviary, a children's museum and the Andy Warhol museum. If you're into sports you'll be within walking distance to the baseball and football arena. Not sure about the hockey arena as I didn't see it though I did see a lot of fans who seemed to be walking to the game.
