Carpeted room with a very strong smell. It looks poorly maintained and the cleanliness left something to be desired. I do not recommend this hotel.
Room had basic amenities, but was clean when I arrived. The staff here were very nice and accommodating. I checked out a day early because my plans had changed and I was refunded for that night even though it was very last minute. My stay here was better than expected (I had read other reviews that made me a little nervous). I ended up staying 6 nights for a conference.
My husband and I have had an awful experience with the Orlando Convention Center Location. My husband and I booked a reservation in June for a trip in November. We were getting into Orlando at 5:00 AM on a Monday morning. We called the corporate number and the location, to confirm when to make our reservation for so we could check in right away and get some sleep after our red-eye flight. Both people we talked to said to make a reservation for Sunday night, so we made our reservation for Sunday night and check-out on Thursday. A week before our trip, we called the corporate number and the location and told them that we would be doing a late check in at 5:00 AM on Monday morning for our Sunday reservation. Both locations said they had made a note on our reservation that we would be a late check in, and that we would not be marked as no-shows for Sunday night. When we got to the hotel on Monday morning, we had been marked as no-shows, and they cancelled our ENTIRE reservation. Further, it was a very busy week due to multiple conferences occurring, which is why we were in town. The man at the desk said that "no one told me you guys were still coming", and tried to make a new reservation. We were unable to book through Thursday, and they told us we had to check out on Wednesday, leaving us without a place to stay Wednesday night. They said to "check back" with them to see if we could extend our stay. We went to our room and it had no electricity, so we had to be put in a different room. We checked at the front desk 3 different times, and they said they could not extend our stay, even after we saw on-line that there was a room available Wednesday night. We called the corporate number. They were able to look up the original confirmation we had made in June, and they said it was notated we would be a late check in, meaning there was clearly a lack in communication and the clerks were not reading the notes. Corporate said the best they could do was make us a reservation for the Orlando South location for Wednesday night. Please note that this location is further away from the convention center, causing us lost time in travelling. Further, we had to check out of the first location at 11:00 AM, and then couldn't check into the other one until 3:00 PM, leaving us at a convention carrying around all our luggage. To top it all off, we were still charged at $62.99 cancellation fee from our original reservation in June, even though we did our due diligence to communicate with the hotel our plans, and followed their instructions on what to do. We are extremely frustrated and disappointed in the customer service we have received thus far and will never be giving our business to this establishment again. We are also discouraging our family and friends from using them, as well.
Very average for a low end motel.
Our room had a sort of cat urine odor. I don't care for motels at all because of the public usage of bedding, but we had to stay the night so it is what it is. It was a good price for a spur of the moment stay, but you get what you pay for. Dingey and cheap. It describes the motel and everything in it, from the bedding, furniture, decor, and complimentary items.
Very poor experience and make sure you check your bed for hair prior to going to bed.
My wife Halie checked in at 5:30 and then came to the convention next door. We returned around 8 to take our things inside the room, only to discover multiple pieces of hair in one of the beds. We left and booked another hotel, but of course they refused to provide a refund. I would strongly caution staying at this hotel. I highly doubt the sheets were washed. Clarion Hotel next door, isn't that great either but it was definilty cleaner when we looked at the rooms. However we ended up staying at the Hyatt Place 5 minutes away.
This is an affordable place to stay. I have been here twice and thay renewed their coffee machine and now they offer flavored creamers (nice touch).
But the rooms needs new carpets and new A/C.
I love they have a laundry room and also a microwave available in case you don't have one In your room.
It's a great option for attending a convention close by.
I wish I could give this hotel no stars at all. I booked this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights for my 1 year anniversary and I was disappointed and disgusted to find out that they have RATS! My boyfriend and I were enjoying our last night at the pool when all of a sudden a rat runs through my towel and clothing sitting right next to me! YUCK!!! Once we saw this one of course we were on the lookout for others! (If theres one rat, there's two, and so on and so on) we spotted a second before leaving altogether!! I spoke with the manger on site Ellen that told me she would look into the this and get back with me the next day, only she never go back to me I had to contact her! She then told me there was nothing she could do to compensate my disaster of a stay at this RAT filled MOTEL. Let's be honest if it had been a bug, or a roach, no they are not pleasant but we do live in Florida so I could understand that, but the fact that there are RATS and I'm spoken to as if I would lie and make all of this up is poor hospitality and poor management! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! My only recommendation from Ellen was to file a complaint with the health department which is exactly what I intend to do!
Horrible experience. Friendly front desk clerk but roach invested rooms. I’m reading some of these reviews and I can only imagine how people live at home if they think this is a good option for you and your family. We complained about roaches in our first room, demanded to be moved. The second room and bed bugs and roaches. After that we demanded our money back and only got back half of it. Mind you we were only there for maybe an hour and a half. Didn’t even unpack our bags. I was promised a call by the manager/owner and never got one. Of course I had to track him down. There are other affordable options that won’t make you go through all of this. Do not rent here!
We stayed at this Red Roof Inn when my children had an archery tournament at the Orange County Convention Center. The property is very conveniently located to walk to the convention center and many nearby restaurants. The hotel seems to be slightly older than some of the surrounding hotels, but it was very clean and well kept for its age. The pool and surroundings were nice and clean and in good repair. Overall this hotel served our needs for our stay at a reasonable price.
When we first got into the hotel room, a cleaning lady was eating her lunch in our room. Rooms were dirty in general. Horrible customer service. Changed their parking policy with no notice , so we couldn't even park at the hotel we paid for (only one parking pass per room. Forgot to even give us a parking pass after filling out the paperwork, and refused to give us one in general.). The A/C blows only warm air. Doors do not shut properly, front door barely closes, and the bathroom door is difficult to close and does not lock. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable, and they would not give us extras. Front desk was extremely rude, and called one of us fat. I wish I was making this up. I will never be coming back to this hotel.
Edit: the toilet flooded on our last day at the hotel.
Clean, cheap, functional basic amenities. Musty odor to the room but otherwise no complaints. Clean small pool area. Staff nice enough. Right next to pharmacy and cheap fast food. You get what you pay for: the basics, right across the street from the convention center.
Frankly, this is a good RRI. I am the kind of traveler who just needs a clean room w no bedbugs and no dead hookers (live ones are negotiable). Not only does it hit those marks but I'm a bit impressed w the room. Little touches like accent walls make a huge difference. Is it amazing? No. But for $60/night when everything else is $200-600 in the area it is as close as you'll get.
This is a cheap and nice hotel to stay at International Drive. You can walk from there to most of the restaurants and bars. Free wifi. Big fridge in the room and microwave. It offered more than high end hotel. Parking is right outside your door. Free too. Comfortable bed and very spacious room
It wasn't great. Sheets had spots of red on them when I first arrived. Legit looked like specks of blood. The tub didn't drain and I'd have to wait after my body showered.. Told the housekeeping to not come in like 3 times. If someone is yelling at you and you're housekeeping, I have to imagine they should think it's something like, "don't come in" even if you can't hear it. It's also really not close to anything. If you're strapped on cash it'll do the job. And it does have a pool which is hard to complain about. But all in all just go in with really low expectations.
