I’ve stayed here long term (2 months) for my job and at first it was great. Good staff and management. I stayed at another hotel close by for 2 weeks and then came back to this Red Roof because the other hotel was worse. They changed management over that 2 weeks, and now it’s not any where near the great experience I had previously. The new night desk clerk when I complained about their staff not leaving clean towels, opening my curtains wide where every one walking saw all my belongings in the room, never wiping down the counter or anything, half-ass makes the bed, and then leaves an envelope for a tip, says to me they don’t clean for long term (13 night) stays. Seriously?? They have no indicator they do not clean daily for “long term stays” first off, and that has nothing to do with my complaint of the half-ass cleaning that is taking place right now. Not really wanting to bring my business back to this hotel where they are only worried about how many days they need to clean. Unless the old management returns, I would not recommend this hotel.
Very nice and respectful staff. Better than expected experience. Will definetly stay here on my next trip.
Thank you Red Roof Inn & Staff.
Very impressed, and a surprising stay overall. Better experience with the staff than I've received at many high scale hotels where I usually stay - checking in at 3 am and having to get going by 9, location was more important than name brand, and I feel lucky to have chosen this motel. The clerk was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy if not entirely modern, and I rested well without being disturbed by rowdy neighbors or traffic noise.
My wife and I stayed here for a vacation. Overall, pretty good hotel, but we also didn't spend a whole lot of time at the actual hotel. The room we had was a little small, but we really just slept in the room, so we weren't looking for much. If you have kids or something, this might not be the best bet. Location wise, it is kind of on a weird road, but once you know where it is, its pretty easy to get into and out of, and you're close to all the Novi and Farmington Hills restaurants and shopping.
Very very disappointed was charged 3 times for my room, when we called front desk the girl said "I can't help you call back in the morning" OK my acct went negative which caused me to accrue charges. Called again later for wash cloths and a question on the TV no Detroit sports channel.she said " will call you right back" again no calls extremely rude. I had to address my charges with my bank today as Saturday no one was there. Will not stay again, nor will I recommend, shame it is a great area and could really do well
Most of the time what a traveler need is a clean room, good WiFi, safe neighborhood, eatery options and a good customer service. And believe me, this property has got everything what one needs.
Rooms are clean, good WiFi, located right on interstate exit connecting all interstates, neighborhood safe and connected to multiple eatery cuisines and gem of a customer service staff Sophia, Regina, Brooke, Rafia, Ike all of them. Thanks Sophia & Regina always to guide and help me out with my requests. Keep rocking Team!👍👍
The Red Roof Inn is not far from the freeway. It's close to a family restaurant. The service was good. Rooms were nice and clean. They were very professional in the front office. All around our stay has been great since we been here.
Friendly service for my one night stay. Room was clean enough to sleep, however the room could definitely be updated. The TV was to dark to watch and even though the area is nice the one night was very noisy from traffic and housekeeping. Overall ok
I have to say, of all the hotels in the area, this hotel is GREAT. Excellent customer service from Sophia , everytime I stay there. I'm in from out of town a lot and have never had a bad experience there. The place is very clean, nice and peaceful .
One time I made a mistake on Expedia with my Reservation and John the manager told me not to worry and took care of it right away. He actually got me into a room fast when I was the one who made the mistake. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I'm in town. I actually get worried they might not have any vacancies when I'm on the flight there. I highly recommend this hotel to all. The price is right and the service exceptional
Thanks guys..
I was there for Motor City Comic Con this past weekend (Thursday, 05/18/2017 - Sunday, 05/21/2017). Three days at this hotel was a bit much. I guess the saying is true though for this hotel - you get what you pay for. It was the cheapest hotel in the area for Motor City Comic Con but now I understand why. It was just ok. I wouldn't recommend it for 2+ more nights. We weren't even in the room much other than for sleep and shower. When we checked in, we noticed our room wasn't exactly clean. There was a used hand towel and bar of soap still on our sink. A few hairs in the bathroom. But I realized, it wasn't just that day that the housekeeers suck. it was every day. They did a hit or miss. One day, change our towels, the other day, not do our beds, etc. They were by far one of the worst housekeepers I've had in a long time. You do the exact same job day by day in every damn hotel room. Its not that hard. Then there was the sad toilet that wouldn't even flush. The bathrooms were clearly not made for average sized Americans. The beds were super hard. Everything in the room (including the tv and sink) were all to the left. There are no coffee makers in the room. It was a nice feature for the microwave & fridge though. Shady internet that barely worked all weekend. 12 whole tv channels (with 4 of them being ESPN). And what was worse was the stadium light that was pointing at our window all night. I didn't get any sleep at all. The only plus side is, I didn't hear our neighbors upstairs or on either side of us all night. The one thing that did bother me, car alarms in the morning. I didn't get the spot in front of my door at all all weekend. It really bugged me on that aspect that other people were parking there. No extra perks either like free breakfast. I just know in the future, I will not be booking Red Roof Inns any time soon.
My room is amazing, and so is the price I paid. The staff at the front desk was really friendly as well.
Wi-if is basically unusable. Lucky to even get a page to load after 5 minutes before "server not responding" message appears. These hotels should not be allowed to advertise free wi-fi when actual access to the internet is non existent. Room is spacious and clean, but unfortunately useless without internet access.
It's ok for the price. If you can get a deal do it. The rooms seemed cleaned, we had no issues. Remember it is economy, and low price. If you want a bunch of extras this wouldn't be the place. If you need a place to crash while you go out and have other stuff to do then this place would be a good idea. It's located near the freeway and there is a restaurant right in front.
