The manager(Erika I believe) was FANTASTIC!! There was another young woman behind the front desk who was also absolutely wonderful. The way they both went out of their way to accommodate special requests and transportation for almost every guest I overheard an encounter with would rival a 5 star luxury hotel. They both knew our names and made recommendations for restaurants and activities close by. They worked together to get guests checked in and out in a timely manner and offered to pay for Taxis for several people who were delayed at the airport because the hotel shuttle was running behind at the cruise port. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value.
Okay for an overnight stop on the way to a cruise. Noisy high traffic area. Easy access by foot to several food places.
Well-kept older hotel. Room a bit smaller than newer hotels. Ground floor easy access & convenient, quiet. Room spotless, beds & pillows comfortable. Internet, high definition tv, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron. Staff friendly & informative. Value for the money. 15 minutes to Tampa Intl. Airport. 9 mins. to U of Tampa.
Room ok. Double charged for shuttle to cruise port. Multiple calls, speaking with the general manager/chief liar Patel. Excuses are..system is down. New person. Refund has been taken care of. We will call you back. Please hold, (so we will ignore your call). We have credited your account, you should see it . Still no resolution. These people are dishonest and I would advise you to take your business elsewhere.
If I could give them no stars, I would. A trip in hell or nightmarewhatever you wanna call it, it was terrible. So bad, I didn't even stay for more than 2 hours. I actually left to find another hotel room. The photos speak for itself. That's just not it. After reporting the uncleanliness, they had no other rooms available and all hotels in the area were booked. While finding the closest hotel available besides this place, the receptionist and housekeeping (owner's wife) cleaned the room in front of us. Sprayed bleach on the soiled mattress and opened the door to air out the smell, made the bed and assumed we would sleep in it afterwards. We found a hotel in Clearwater, and informed the receptionist that we would be leaving and will not stay. She said we will not be charged, and I was unaware to obtain a cancellation number from her at that time (it was 2am and was exhausted). A couple of days later, I was charged for the entire weekend that I booked. The charges were marked pending, but the owner by the name of Patel had claimed he emailed and refunded the money. He only refunded one night stay and and claimed he did not charge for the rest of the days booked. I called my bank and the representative had to explain that he, in fact, did charge me and refused to acknowledge it. He printed out the refund for the one night only and I now have to dispute the remaining charges. What's even better is, after getting the refund form, my card still got charge full price of the trip. This facility is owned by a scammer, and we are in the process of escalating this matter. This is not the last he heard from me. Because of this place, it made my entire trip draining and miserable.
Lets start b saying the front desk staff is the only NICE part of this hotel.
The owner/GM creeps the grounds all day making you feel watched.
If you have a family, on a budget and the means to cook, STAY AWAY.
I was refused service after a two stay because I cooked a meal on my room.
I would understand a warning , but declined to stay over even though in NO writing or verbal warning was given.
Not too bad rooms, stinky and terrible A/C.
Comfortable room. But was lied to when reservation was made. I was told by the lady who made reservations that truck parking was available for me. When I got there I couldn't even pull in motel entrance much less park. I had to park in Street and walk in and then had to find parking at another location. Complete chaos.
Just going there to get something from family then left but the staff (especially Charles) was really helpful
Very nice. Good staff. Breakfast is not great. Could be better
Let's say these guys do not know who is doing what. We had a group of 20 come down the day before our cruise to stay. The rooms were crappy. They told us over phone that they would bring us back to airport after cruise when we booked which was included in the package. Then we arrive at hotel to find it an additional 8.00 a person to take to airport.so we were scrambling to find taxis to book after cruise to take us to airportfor the 160.00 that we spent on room and 32.00 for one way to cruise port I should have booked a better hotel. Rude breakfast crew! Nice driver to port!
The location is amazing and within walking distance to almost everything you need. The room is clean and comfortable and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Plus you get a free hot breakfast every morning.
We stayed at this hotel before going on a cruise. The wallpaper was peeling from the wall and mold was behind that. One receptacle in the bathroom didn't work. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I went to get breakfast, they were out of bacon and when I tried to get hot water for tea some kind of crud dropped in my cup. We went out for breakfast. Fortunately the hotel is within walking distance of several great places to eat. I'm used to better hotels.
