Ok, check in was cool. After ever that everything turned into hell. The remote didn't work, several lights didn't work, and then my woman was getting bit. I said it might be mosquitos, and repeatedly told her it was all in her head. Then I woke up after she got out of bed at 2 in the morning. She said I can't take it no more. She had bits on her hands, back, stomach, and face. I turned over and thats when I seen bed bugs. We checked both beds to see if we found more, and we packed up rite then, and went to the nearest 24 hour laundry. I'm half naked, and furious at 3:45 am in the morning drying my clothes, bags, and sneakers, washing and redrying them again.
Worst place I have ever stayed at. We will start with our check in process. We arrived at the lobby to check on around 7:00 pm and found the doors locked with s sign stating they would be back in less then 10 minutes. No one answering the phone it just kept ringing. Had to stand outside office in the dark and kept getting passed by shady looking people. 15 minutes late someone finally shows up. Room had no exterior light so you could not see door to get it unlocked. Heat was on at 90 degrees as well as the ac which was set at 72 degrees. Garbage under the bed, had to hunt for 5 minutes for the tv control which I finally found under the bed, safe was broke, one large sized towel and two washcloths for two people, bed smelled like piss, felt very unsafe and was sure either my car would be broken into or someone would try to break into our room. Over all NOT a good experience at all. My advice is this Inn should be tore down and possibly rebuilt with new management. Obviously the management there does not know how to run a business.
Room was gross. Smelled of mildew. Everything in the room was greasy, the phone, tv remote (which had no batteries in it) air conditioner controls and the counters. A roach crawled up the wall as we closed the door to the room. Bed sheets looked like they hadn't been washed in weeks. The floors looked like they hadn't been mopped ever! The fridge had a 2 liter left in it from previous guests. Under the bed there were bits of food everywhere, chips, bread crumbs etc. The toilet seat lid had cigarette burns in it. The inside of the bowl was also black around one of the holes. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.
The staff was extremely friendly! However, the room smelt like mold and the a/c was so noisy that it kept us awake at night. It's very convenient to stay here to walk to the ampitheater though.
While I cannot speak for the cleanliness I can speak for the intelligence and the ability to handle problems. I made a reservation that was incorrectly put into the computer system for the day prior. I also opted to pay in person upon check-in. I was charged the day prior (and refunded) without my consent or my presence. Upon showing my confirmation that my booking was for the 15-16th there was nothing anyone could do and I had to find somewhere else to stay. It is not OK to have no one on the premise who can fix these kinds of problems or address them accordingly. It would also be great to have someone around who actually cares. I don't normally stay at this chain, but I certainly won't try to again.
It's decent. Better than most for the price. Quiet, though it doesn't seem like it would be. Convenient to a lot of things. If they had a microwave and a refrigerator..that would be great! Oh and they have hardwood floors instead of carpet! Yes!!!!
We stayed here to go to a concert. When we walked into the room, it smelled really strongly of mold. I'm a Floridian. I'm used to smelling mold. This was the most mold-smelling room I've even been in. The toilet did not work and it had toilet paper in it as if someone had tried to flush it and gave up. I called the front desk multiple times with no answer. Perhaps it was just busy, so I walked to the front desk and the two employees were in the back chatting and ignoring phone calls. They were pleasant at least. The new room also smelled of mold and there was dirt/ashes? on the phone, counters, you name it. At least the beds were comfortable, the air condition was cold, and there were no bed bugs. Next time I'd spend a little more and stay next door. This motel has potential to be so much better, but I guess they don't bother because the convenient location draws enough business.
I've stayed at quite a few Red Roofs and they have all been amazing.
That is until I visited this one.
They are supposed to be pet friendly but the front desk woman was so rude to me and my pup and kept pressing that she'd be looking at us and ask us to leave at any opportunity.
After walking into the room we found the floors were wet and sticky and the room was so humid it's like the air was heavy.
The bathroom looked like the cleaning person didn't even touch it, there was hair all over the tub, and they didn't even put a new bar of soap, they left the old bar of soap from the previous customer and it was covered in pubes.
When I checked out I let the front desk woman know about this (it was the same rude bad attitude woman from the night before) and she just kept shaking her head side to side saying ok. I guess she didn't care and the fact that I was leaving made her feel it wasn't her problem at all. She didn't even say bye just kept saying ok as if she were just waiting for me to say something else or just turn around and leave.
Definitely not coming back here, thankfully Expedia took care of me and helped me find a room the next day elsewhere.
Will never stay at another Red Roof Inn again. Predatory company. Went to visit a friend who is a paying guest of the hotel. Walked to the Wing House right next door to eat and watch NCAA baseball game on TV and when we returned our car had been towed for a bill of $290. Ridiculous that you can not even have a guest visit when staying at hotel. I travel regularly and have never heard of such a policy. We even took a spot that was away from all of the rooms so as not to take up a spot from someone else who may need it.
Good location with a popular restaurant bar right next door and gas station. Room was clean and stocked. The advertised free WiFi was down during our entire stay, however. Overall pleasant stay.
Location is great. As for the employees house keeping staff is always friendly. However there is one employee at the front desk who shouldn't be in the hospitality business at all. But I have never let that one person stop me from staying.
I really enjoyed staying at the ares Red Roof Inn. It is in a great location, and pet friendly. We stayed for 3 nights, it was quiet and clean. We would stay again.
