Top notch, creative recipes, well trained staff. Everything in the menu is special in some way. Live, local mountain music on Thursday and Saturday. One of our favorite places.

We’re locals. When we want 5 Star Food, quality atmosphere and casual dining - The Purple Onion is a top shelf choice.

Super cozy atmosphere! Enjoyed the variety of selections on the menu! The Kale that was served with the short ribs was a tad over salty to our palates as well as the Brussel Spout appetizer. I truly enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts because the flavors were amazing they just were too salty to my taste. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it to anyone! I would prefer to rate it a 4.5 but that's not in the star options.

Came by for the Sunday Concert Series to hear The Way Down Wonderers. Very cool band from Chicago. Pizza was great, too.

The pizza was delicious (crust lacked a little) but the overall flavor combinations were wonderful. Mushroom stuffed ravioli topped with duck confit was excellent. Beautiful outdoor seating. Indoor seating also available. Small bar inside. Excellent service.

Well the food was great but we had an interesting experience. First started with an over excited server and then as we ate and look around every table but ours had fresh bread and oil. Really makes it feel like you are profiled. If you give it to one you should give it to all.

Don't bother reading the menu. Just get the Green Goddess pizza as recommended by Mary who is charmingly delightful.

We discovered Purple Onion on a recent anniversary trip and loved it. The atmosphere was fantastic and everyone was so nice. They were super busy but when our waiter found some extra time he came over and had a pleasant and friendly conversation. The food was excellent as well. If we are ever back in town we will be going back to the Purple Onion.

Great selection. Jamie C served us a Rueben, 6" Italian sausage pizza with banana peppers, 6" Cheese and black olive and an Eggplant panini for me. For dessert blackberry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream to share and an Affogato for me.

This is mine and the wife's date nite spot every week, unless we switch to lunch for one of the best burgers around. Almost every week for the past 2+ years. We live south of the border in Greenville where there is nothing down here that can touch it! The selection, food, staff and atmosphere are always tops . The drive is pleasant, relaxing and beautiful while avoiding the hassle and stress of driving downtown or to the east side only to wait in a line for 45+ minutes to be disappointed in the choice of selections. The purple Onion's items are farm to table and usually locally grown. Only the best makes it through the doors to their kitchen.
