Mediocre amenities. Television was outdated. The bubble ones from the 1990's. Lighting was bad. A few light bulbs were out. Old scratches on the nightstands, Coffee was weak. It had no taste, too watery, I wanted strong coffee. Alas, we were only here for the views of the beaches and walking around Encintas, Cardiff by the Sea, and drove down to La Jolla.

Gross! The stench that hits you as soon as you open the hotel suit was soo overpowering that we literally ran out! The hotel is falling apart at its seems its just awful. We ran back to the car and called hotwire to reschedule for another hotel. It was just awful.

Very small room for the price found a spider in the bed and when we asked to have are room cleaned and to get fresh towels that never happened parking sucks. For what I paid I could have got a bigger room pictures on there web site are miss leading. Will never stay here again rather stay at a different hotel for the same or cheaper price.

Bed bugs!! Gross!! Don't stay here! Staff is rude and full of lies and deciet. Woke up 4am to bites all over me. Found bed bugs in bed and in bathroom. Had bites all over my neck, face and hand. Manager, John Bevell is full of shi*. Giving me the run around for a refund. Expedia sucks as well. Terrible customer service to get a refund. I'm furious, upset and itchy. The guy who picked up when i called, told me to get a life and hung up on me. Hotel is dirty, and under terrible management. Don't stay here!

Very reasonably priced for the area. The rooms are hit and miss some have been maintained or renovated slightly.
The first room I was in was pretty bad, musty smelling, tattered curtains, tv didn't work. The staff is helpful, not professional but helpful. I was given a better room a little cleaner, not smelly. I seen a couple of roaches in the bathroom and I'm on the third floor with a huge window that opens with no screen, so no children should be in this room. I haven't seen housekeeping in the 3 days I've been here.
If you don't have a family, your on a restricted budget and just need a little rest and a shower you can rough it out here.response / report this review -

It was alright. The room smelled a little weird, must be the cleaner they use. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room was clean. It's a little on the run down side but overall my stay was pleasant. I was able to walk to the beach from the motel.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME . This hotel has got to be the worst experience I ever had. First off I booked a 2 queen bed room 2 weeks before my stay. When we arrived we went to the room to find it was a one bed? Went to the front desk, the guy was pleasant and apologized gave us another key. We went to the room opened the door to find..someone else occupying that room!! What? Really? Wow! Went to front desk and receive the response "Oh sorry I guess we don't have any double bed rooms available". "But I booked a double bed room?" "Oh well not sure what you want me to do about it?" To which i asked can I speak to a manager?" " Nope, No manager on site"
Worst customer service EVER! So we went to the single bed room to find.moldy curtains, moldy shower and bathroom, sticky wet carpet and the smell of mold and mildew. There were even snail's covering the Windows? A broken chair with splinters showing.
I was grossed out to stay there. Don't stay here, it's not even a 2 star it's less than 1.response / report this review -

First and foremost, hotel absolutely needs renovations. It it quite run down to the point of seeming to lack any attention being paid to the condition of the rooms and grounds at all and not just the capital necessary for such upkeep. That being said, the location was perfect and the wifi was AMAZING (literally the fastest I've ever come across in a hotel, and I travel for work 95 percent of the time) and the bed was comfy so for the price I was quite happy. The room was also clean, and in general was quite comfortable. I'd be happy to stay here again.

Next to the beach and all restaurants. Rooms however needs to be more updated/upgradeed just so they can attract more customers and they actually DO CARE about the business, customer and health. Customer need to be aware that its loud at night when your room is next to the restaurant which is literally beside it and VERY tight parking spots

They couldn't find my reservation and made me pay for another one to even check into a room, wouldn't refund my money for my reservation the next day, I had to call Expedia to get the refund which was the only easy part of it.
The guy told us the wrong directions to our room and I was searching for 10 minutes in the cold before having to knock on the lobby door for the second time. It was extremely noisy and bright, very hard to sleep. Worst customer service ever.
Terrible parking unless you are riding your bicycle. Stains everywhere. Tiny throw pillows to sleep on. Air didn't work. No accommodations.response / report this review
