We got a great room. Lots of granite and cool tiling everywhere. We weren't so lucky last time. But the beds are clean and comfortable.

So i arrived alittle after midnight after a long day, just wanting to relax and get some sleep. The guy at the front desk had strong attitude and informed the wrong breakfast time. So i was really disappointed walking in the lobby to get breakfast at 930am to find out that breakfast had just ended. Later about an hour after checked out, get a phone call saying they charge $100 to have an animal and $25 for the cleaning fee. I got my room for $72 total after tax so why they charge so much in the first place for an animal is insane and on top of that I told him I have a service dog prior to checking in. So talking to whoever called was making it sound like it was my fault, that I was in the wrong for having a service dog. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying in this hotel even if it is a cheaper hotel. If I could put no stars I would!!

They had a great room waiting for us. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very polite and courteous. Would definitely stay there again.

Decent Place for over night. King size room only has a shower. Don't expect a good continental breakfast

The place is decent looking, but there are roaches. When I called the front desk to let them know a lamp shade was damaged and didn't want to be held responsible for it, I was told it would be noted. A deposit was requested in case of damages to the room. When I checked my account, I had been charged the deposit, when I called the office they falsely accused me of smoking marijuana in a non smoking room. I see from prior reviews this isn't the first time the rooms happen to smell of marijuana. I've called to speak with management the office refuses to cooperate. This business is just outright deciteful, this is how they steal the little bit of money people have left. Do not give this establishment your business.

If the owner is reading this, do us a favor don't reply with some nonsense excuse or what your opinion might be. Save it. Instead call us back and refund our money, so that I don't have to keep calling you thieves.

Check in was really easy, but the second day we were there one of the maids just walked into the room without knocking while we were in the room. The guy at the front desk always had his headphones in while I was trying to talk to him, and I had to repeat myself multiple times. After the maid walked in on us she never came back in the room to clean. We would have to ask for more towels. Would no recommend.

Cheeproom was a disappointment(but not all rooms are like that, ASK TO SEE THE ROOM B4 YOU PAY!) for the price tho I could really complain , it can use a few upgrades & a good paint job..paint looked like a 5 year old did it, and the room was not cozy actually kind of the opposite(I don't think all the rooms were like that..guy just thought I was some punk & stuck us in there I think..lol).not as noisy as you would think being right next to a freewaylots of stores, restaurants, harbor, gas stations, liquor store, convince store all within 5 minute walking distanceFYI get the rooms facing away from freeway big difference on noise(obviously) but honestly I'm pretty sure they have double pane windows because it really wasn't that bad after 10min I didn't really notice it. I did notice the a.c systems would leek a lot of water outside the room next to the door which was kind of an inconvenienceand there were phones that didn't worknone in the place do..why have them in there @ all? So basically no way of calling front desk for anything.. u gotta get your tired ass up out of bed @ 1a.m to tell them the a.c broke..(which it did btw)..the breakfast which THEY DID HAVE which is surprising for a budget motel ($56) even tho all it included was cerial, toast,coffee,o.j.. The people @ the front desk had NO personality or urgency to fix anything that was wrong, and in general just seemed like they did not want to be there,Ohh and @ check out time I asked for a late checkout and the guy had the nerve to try and charge me $5..NEVER HAVE I HEARD OF THAT! THESE GUYS ARE CHHEEAAPP!! and BTW this must be the first budget motel where I have seen them ask for deposit even tho it's only $50..not the point.. THERE ARE ABOUT 20 HOTELS SURROUNDING THIS PLACEyou would think they would try to maintain common courtesy, and standardsnot the worst place I have been to but definitely in the top 5..

Horrible place to stay. I would give no stars if it were an option. The rooms are extremely small. We booked a room that stated it would accommodate six. When we got there, the room had two queen (actually look like twin) beds. When we went to the desk to ask about the issue, the person at the desk was very rude and did not offer any type of assistance in the error. I finally asked if they would be willing to give me a single room at a discounted rate (seeing the whole mishap was their issue) and the person at the desk said they would charge me full price. I asked if I could speak to a manager and was told that there was not a manager available and there was no way that one could be contacted until they came in at their scheduled shift. Needless to say, I found a much better hotel, Best Western Plus Oceanside, and they took care of our needs very quickly. As I was booking the new room, the desk person said that he would give us another room. By that point, I was done and was not going to give them any money and left. When I contacted my card to have the payment stopped for the room, I was advised that half of the payment had already been refunded. I will never come back here or will I ever tell anyone to stay here.

It's literally right next to the highway. But also close to the beach.I was told this room is a no smoking room, but the room I got smelled of weed. Nothing is cleaned properly either. I've had better prices and better rooms than this one. Probably will not come back.

I am in the military and I made a reservation here because all government billeting on Camp Pendleton was full. Before check in, I was notified government quarters had become available so I needed to cancel my reservation. The hotel would not let me cancel and charged my government travel card the full nightly rate! I read a previous review that they charged a $25 cancellation fee by a guest who checked in and then decided not to stay. I would have been delighted to pay a $25 fee! I do not expect special favors or special treatment for being military, but I would have appreciated some understanding and accommodation since the change in my travel plans was beyond my control, and I am required to use government quarters if they are available. Avoid this place like the plague, if only because of their apparently arbitrary and contradictory cancellation policy (is it $25 fee or full amount?). If you are traveling to Pendleton on military duty, avoid like the plague; they do not care.

Just checked in, went to my room thought it was smaller than the pictures led me to believe. Then I noticed multiple chips and scratches on the walls which made me look deeper. It appears that there is a booger on the cover that goes around the base of the bed and upon further inspection there was other mucus looking stuff dried in the same area. That made me look at the mattress which is very stained from god knows what. Just so you know there is a 25 dollar cancellation fee which I paid so I could sleep elsewhere with piece of mind that I wasn't sleeping in filth.
