This is a must see place in Tucson. It's set on 80 acres and if you really want to look and observe every aircraft they have, expect to spend a full day there at least. The quality of the exhibits are amazing with many of the old planes either preserved or perfectly restored to their original glory. You learn a lot about aviation history and the volunteers working there are truly knowledgeable, friendly and seem to love their job. Great job Pima Air & Space Museum!

definitely a great place to visit. 3rd largest of its kind in US. Super nice and knowledgeable guides. Will spend more time there if visit next time. one star deduction because i bumped into a glass panel at the entrance.As told by the people work there, I was not the first one bumped into the same glass; however they still did not put any protection (they moved something to block the glass panel after i bumped into it).

This is one of Arizona's best museums, with unbelievable static displays of aircraft spanning the ages. The docents are friendly and knowledgeable. If there's any improvement to be made, it's in the text that accompanies the exhibits - too much fact-and-date regurgitation without analysis or context. Why is a given aircraft important it interesting? Still a great museum despite that.

This is an amazing place to visit. Fantastic displays of a huge number and variety of aircraft, some in hangers, many in the open air. Don't miss the tram tour! Our guide yesterday was brilliant, so knowledgeable and informative.

But, the space centre is a real disappointment. It is not logically laid out; there is too much written information much of which cannot be read because of poor lighting; and several of the the interactive displays were not working.

My suggestion for the museum is to close the space centre until it can be drastically improved and much better laid out. All the aircraft displays are brilliant, the space centre is not.

By the way, for visitors from the UK, like me, don't miss the recently installed Spitfire!

This is a great place to spend a few hours. They have a wide variety of planes, helicopters, jets, space crafts etc to look at. There are multiple hangers and a large display out side.

My only complaint would be that I wish they were set up to go in a few more of them. Even taking off a door and covering the entrance with plexiglass so you could see inside we be a welcomed improvement.

So cool. The planes we so big and amazing. My favorite part of it all was the NASA or space area was. I love space always have always will. NASA is my thing so that was cool.

What a great experience!! I went there with my parents and took my 2 year old daughter who loves airplanes. They have an amazing collection of planes, helicopters, and other aviation related items. The staff that works in the hangars are very knowledgeable and are great to talk to, one was even nice enough to give my daughter a toy airplane! Everything was very clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. I did appreciate the fact they provide changing tables in the male bathrooms. The food at the restaurant is pretty good, albeit a little pricey. We had burgers and chicken strips, and unless you're a huge eater, split a fry order, it's a huge basket. I do plan on going back and taking the family again, especially to get the tour of the boneyard.

Fantastic staff, great fun visiting all the exhibits. Vending machines are much more reasonable than a zoo , only like 2$. Restrooms are well maintained, many present all over with access to water. Admission isn't bad and the shirts are fantastic quality within shop.

Flight grill was about what you would expect any normal burger joint to be, but drinks are pricey. Food was FANTASTIC though, incredibly delicious and I got it in under 5 minutes. Quicker than subway honestly, and much tastier.

This is a fantastic place to learn about aircraft, history, space exploration, and more. There are interactive displays geared toward children as well as detailed aviation information for the most highly educated military history buff. This museum is also a valuable repository for aviation history documentation and artifacts. You'll need several hours or severasl visits if you want to see everything in detail (bring water and a hat, as much of the museum is outside), though you could do a shorter, more superficial (but still fun and educational) tour for those too young to have the patience for the whole thing! They do have a "treasure hunt" for children, so they can watch out for particular air craft. The docents are kind, polite, and well informed, and many have their own personal stories of serving with these aircraft.

I took my boys here to get out of the Tucson heatunfortunately they don't have air conditioning, just swamp coolers! We had a great time, we were probably there for 3-4 hours and I had to drag the kids away! There is so much to see and the people volunteering are very nice and patient with kids! I had not been in years, but used to go more often when we lived closer, I just took the kids to the Space building for the first time on this visit though and the kids loved it in there! There is a simulator they got to play on that they couldn't get enough of! They also have tons of kids activities during the month all year long, which I never knew! (I believe events/activities can be found on their website). We thought about grabbing a snack/small bite to eat at the cafe, but the menu was not snack prices. I know the museum probably doesn't have a large amount of funding, so I'm not complaining, I still think it's an amazing place to visit, especially with kids, in the Tucson area.

Outstanding docents, great variety of aircraft and many other artifacts. The bone yard tour and the tram tour around the museum are particularly interesting. The docents are very knowledgeable. Overall a terrific place to visit. The third largest air museum in the world. Make time to visit the Titan Middle Museum in Green Valley.

The tour is worth the extra price. Guides give out great info and this is the only way you can see much of the place in less than a couple days. So much to see and learn. Can't wait for grandkids to show around. School tour has a treasure hunt that looks like fun.

Gorgeous planes, very well kept. It is a full day attraction, 6 different hangers as well as outside planes. The guided tour was very well done and extremely knowledgeable. The tour guide had something for every plane. Pictures are only a fraction of the outside planes on the tour.

I recently had the chance to visit this museum for the second time in my life thus far. My first visit was as a child over a decade ago and I can tell you it was just as grand as an adult as it was then. They have exhibits starting with the Wright brothers all the way up through recent space travel and exploration. They have literally hundreds of aircraft viewable both inside air conditioned hangers and outside on acres of land. With multiple hangers, guided tours (on foot and via covered shuttle), a restaurant and so much to see you can really make a day of it. The staff are friendly, they are constantly adding to their already 300+ aircraft collection and it is a treat for any aerospace enthusiast or history buff right on down to people who have never even been above the clouds. If you're in the area, this and the Titan Missile Museum should definitely be on your must do list.

if I could Give it 4.5 I would. Had awsome planes, great pricing, and great food. My only complaint is a lot of the planes are outside in a large lot and it is very hot out there. I had to put a wet towel on my head for a while. besides That, It's an amazing museum. Just make sure to go on a cool day. Overall, epic. Best I've ever seen.
