Such a BEAUTIFUL canyon!!! You can walk or take a shuttle that makes several stops going up and down. You can ride the whole way and hear great information about the area or you can get off and on at will. One of my favorites!

I love Sabino Canyon, went on a great hike in late- April and still manage to find enough water to take a dunk!! There are great hikes for all experience levels and fellow hikers are extremely friendly. Visit Sabino only if you want to have a good time.

Beautiful trail through a desert canyon, with dozens of miles of trails to explore. My daughter and I took the early shuttle to the end of the paved road, then explored part of the Phone Line trail before descending to the main path again. The shuttle drive provided interesting facts about the canyon and nature on our way to our stop.

During our walk on the main path, we stopped several times to wade through the water that cascades down from the mountains. Cold, clear water, and spotted a few small fish and frogs. A very enjoyable time. Glad we did it early, as spring around Tucson is still pretty warm.

One criticism is that, during our trip, there were three shuttles running. One of them was right behind the other, meaning you could easily miss them both (we did) if you weren't at a designated stop. A little more spacing would be nice.

Another one of my favorite places in Tucson. Even though parking is sometimes difficult and it might seem crowded I would recommend you take the tram up to the top of Sabino and walk down. As soon as you start walking you will find your are almost all alone. There are many off road hiking trails as well. This is a place you come back to many times. Great gift shop as well. This park is a great example of your tax dollars at work.

Spectacular! Easy to take the tram to the top and find good trails from there, or for those with mobility limitation, enjoy the tram ride. It'd be nice if it were run on natural gas, because the diesel is not pleasant and you can't escape it, but off the tram and on trails, you'll never see, smell or know about the tram.

This place is truly special, I recommend doing a bit of research so you can enjoy the trails. We were looking for birding places - it was amazing along the Rattlesnake Trail, and not far from the main road/tram. Highly recommend
