I’ve gotten the best cat I’ve ever tasted. Great Service!
The staff was friendly, and helpful up front, asked if I needed help finding anythingbut the one dog didn’t have water, and he was clearly trying to get a drinkthere were two girls chatting behind the cages and standing right by him cleaning the cage next to hisThe man from the front quickly addressed my concern and said I was rightbut cmon girls do your jobThere are not that many cages..it shouldn’t be difficult to make sure they all have water at the very leastespecially if this place is going to keep these puppies in such small spaces.
While I've only visited the store once my experience is much different than some of the previous reviewers. I was greeted upon walking in the door and asked whether I had any questions or needed assistance with anything promptly by multiple employees despite it looking fairly busy for a Friday morning. I was there to pick up some fish and supplies for my freshwater tank and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Don was both personable and held a lot of knowledge regarding aquariums. He was capable of providing me with information regarding which fish could cohabitate while also thriving under the perimeters of my tank. I was given what remained of the stores bloodworm meal free of charge due to their being low in stock and honestly I could not have had a better first impression of their store. The prices were more than fair and the fact that it is a privately owned store only adds to my positive feedback. While some of the previous reviewers may have had a different experience I recommend people take everything with a grain of salt and form your own opinion after giving it a try. I was almost dissuaded by the reviews prior to going but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It seems most people only write reviews for bad experiences which can cause lopsided and sometimes hypercritical results. I'll be a returning customer and would recommend this store to anyone in the area Columbus area.
BUYING PUPPIES FROM PET STORES PROMOTES ANIMAL CRUELTY!! Please, please research puppy mills before you consider buying. These stores sell unhealthy, over priced puppies. Pet stores selling puppies is illegal in most states, and for a good reason! I did not patronize this store.
They treat their puppies so well!! Great selection of animals!! Lovely staff!! 10/10.
It took a good 20 mins to get help today and All the petting rooms were open my children are clearly asking if we can hold this dog we were standing at the same cage the entire timewell then I finally just stopped someone. I have biracial children and this chicks like well you cant hold dogs if you are not thier guardian? If you could have seen the look on my face I was literally just starring at hershe then says are you their guardian? Like I just felt that was very disrespectful do you also want to know what hospital and the time how about how big they were?YES they are my children and she said so you are their guardian? ?? 😠They are clearly calling me mommywhat kind of question is that really pissed me off
I recently went here and bought two guinea pigs. For the most part they are good so far and healthy but I didn't notice until I brought the piggies home that one had dried blood and a chunk bitten out their ear (they are okay now and healing well).
Also, they told me that the guinea pigs were both boys but after taking them to the exotic vet I found out that one is a boy and the other a girl and that the girl is already pregnant.
I would make sure to learn how to tell the genders and to inspect your animal before buying it from here.
Other than these problems the employees were very nice and helpful, they made sure to give me a rundown of everything I needed to know and made sure I had all the supplies.
If I could give them a 0 star I would.
I recently bought a chinchilla from this Petland and she was missing just a small amount of hair around her nose, they told me that had an "accident with some location and that the hair will grow back in a few days." I'm a first time chin buyer so I asked a few questions and it felt like he was trying to just get me in and out with out wasting anymore of his time. So I get her all set up in her new loving home and after a few more days I notice a small amount of fur left in my hands after I have handled her, and what was LITERALLY over night she was almost BALD. I mean she had no hair on her face, on her legs, patches all over her back, and belly.
I immediately took her to the vet. From there they told me she had ringworm and that my sweet little girl was actually a BOY. Since they gave me a ton of wrong information already I told them how Petland told me to take care of now him and they told me it was all wrong.
If you are looking for a pet please adopt. Don't buy one from here. They seriously only care about making a commission off of you at petland.
We got a golden retriever one month ago. We were happy with our experience. Sydney was very good to deal with And helpful. And manager Chritinawas also very nice and helpful. Would recommend them to others
Me and my girlfriend visited this store earlier today and we were very interested in purchasing a dog. Our interest quickly went away after being disrespected by a number of employees who clearly didn't care for their customers. We ended up walking about after 5 minutes.
The staff was friendly but overworked when I was there. The wait for help was too long my first visit and I had to come back later. New guy in the aquatic department wasn't up to speed yet and didn't have anyone available to help him out. Kudos for giving the effort even if the management didn't offer much support or concern.
Not too happy about the dogs pent up in cages, but that's just the nature of places like this I guess.
