Wonderful hotel with very friendly stuff and nice amenities. We didn't try the restaurant based on prices and reviews so can't say anything. 27$ valley only parking is a bit of an overkill especially since we are outoftowners.

We just wrapped up a girls weekend at this resort and I am excited to share how great of an experience our two day, one night stay was. From the minute I arrived, the staff was warm and friendly & even with a large wedding the same night, the staff still managed to make my birthday feel special. Even with a reservation snafu (we used a 3rd party to book and it got complicated) this group managed to give us a 5-Star stay. The highlights are:

Lagoon Cantina:
The aforementioned reservation snafu meant we had some time to kill & this staff really helped to get us off to a great start DESPITE the reservation issue AND monsoon weather. Our waitress was A+ (although I've forgotten her name) and I don't know who is to credit but Renard delivered a special birthday round even though we hadn't mentioned my special day to anyone.

Spa:
The spa team Stephanie & her colleagues were wonderful. After lunch we spent the rest of the rainy afternoon enjoying some spa amenities. The team was very honest about the crowd levels and offered to allow us some extra time that evening since the spa was so busy when we first came in.

Concierge Team:
After the spa we finally made it up to the room where we received a lovely birthday fruit platter from the concierge team. It was perfect while we dolled up for dinner.

3800 Ocean Breakfast Staff:
Gaby the hostess was super accommodating taking photos of our birthday celebration. Our waitress delivered a special birthday plate with a key lime tart & candle without being asked to do so.

Beachfront Team:
Travis and the other beachfront staffers really helped us wrap up the weekend on a high note. They were super accommodating, attentive, and friendly.

The Room:
The room was one of the condos and it was clean, modern, comfy with everything we could need. Great ocean and inter-coastal view. Cable went out with monsoon and lack of free-wifi would be the only downsides.

Fantastic hotel. Rooms are updated and spacious. Two pools on either side of the building (beach side and opposite side) to accommodate guests. While valet parking only means you may have to wait a bit for your car at peak times, the valet staff works very hard to get things done. All staff we encountered here were professional and attentive. Great family oriented pool on the opposite side of the hotel from the beach with water slide. Short walk out to the beach and the guys staffing the beach were awesome. We can't wait to return for vacation here in the future.

I arrived yesterday afternoon and have been enjoying my visit, thus far. My previous visit in May was riddled with problems. I spoke with the front desk attendant about it and was able to produce email correspondence between myself and the management. She was given authorization to upgrade my room, at no additional charge, and gave me the property manager's business card in the event of any problems during my stay. This is one of the many reasons that I love the Marriott brand and it's always my first choice when deciding on a hotel.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are friendly and attentive. There rooms are condo style, spacious and clean with balconies, kitchens, living space, and oversized bathrooms. It's right in the beach with gorgeous views. And the restaurant is top notch. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere and service is great. Right on the beach. First day was good. 2nd day not so much. Gave us hard time because 9 year old using treadmill and allowed age is 12. Sarcastic staff tells rules are on the far end of wall. Not very cordial.

Was only passing through while doing a weekly turtle nest survey on the beach. Very upsetting that every year we have to remind the guys that put up the chairs and umbrellas that they must wait until the survey is complete they are trampling the Turtle Tracks they could also be trampling hatchlings. Also do not understand why they don't have workers to at least clean up there Beach area if nothing else to appease their guests. If I was a guest there I would not want my chair set up next to or near a pile of someone else's trash.

Beautiful hotel and great amenities. Snorkel the reef out front! We had a blast on My Islands Adventure charter. We went fishing and snorkeling with Captain Tim.

I wish I could give this resort more stars because it is truly a beautiful property on the ocean. For the amount one pays for this property, you would expect impeccable customer service. This was not the case at this property.

1) We had issues with check-in. We were told they would notify us when our room was ready, however, no phone call was ever made to us. When we approached the front desk after the normal check-in time, they didn't seem bothered by the fact they never notified us.

2) Housekeeping never cleaned our room despite requesting it by turning on our "make-up room" light on our door.

3) The resort fee of $35 is HIGH. Granted, you do get two free drinks per day, 2 activities, bottled water in room, and chairs on the beachI didn't know until the end of my trip that this was an OPTIONAL fee. They made it seem like it was required at check-in

4) Beach service was extremely slow. Waited over 20 minutes after placing our drink order to receive service. This appears to be a problem with under staffing a completely sold out hotel.

5) We were told that we did not have access to beach chairs because we never paid our resort fee which required us to go all the way back to the lobby to fix it. The front desk was not apologetic for the inconvenience and didn't seem to care that we were inconvenienced.

6) When we shared that housekeeping never came to our room, again, no apologies or any actions to correct the matter. She kind of just stared at us until we asked for the bottled water that is part of our daily resort fee.

Beautiful property.quiet beachfront locationbut the service left A LOT to be desired.
