Started coming to the organic mechanic after feeling like I was getting ripped off by a dealership and have never looked back. It's run by good, honest people who just want what's best for you and your vehicle. They are upfront and realistic about what I should plan and budget for in the future but they have never pressured me into getting any services on the spot or anything that's unnecessary. I can't say enough good things about the quality of work, business ethics, and friendliness of this company.

Only being in Asheville for a little over a month after driving 1200 miles from Upstate New York; I knew I needed to find a service center for my BMW. After much research I choose the Organic Mechanic. Never have I made a better choice! Their service and staff exceeded all my expectations. The detail they put in keeping you up to date on all work done, with pictures of bad components, is phenomenal! Pricing and labor charges were right on, couple this with their expertise and professional knowledge has made me a lifelong customer! Thank you Organic Mechanic!

My first visit upon buying my used car was a check-up, which was illuminating and helpful as well as very reasonable. These guys even fixed items for free.

So I came back for a 60,000 mike maintenance. They are methodical, honest and good analysts who went over the car with a fine-toothed comb. No high pressure, helped prioritize things, able to quickly take care of anything. I am most happy with both their service and their friendly attitude.

Shane and Michael were friendly and professional. They were thorough in what the servicing of my car would entail, the actual servicing of my car, and in their explanation of the results. Not only did they send an email with an easy-to-follow invoice of the results, but I also received a call to go over those results and to answer any questions I might have had. I was informed when the next service would be due and what that would include. There were no 'surprises' and I found the price for services provided to be fair and reasonable. My car is my baby, and I feel it is in good hands at Organic Mechanic. I really can't recommend them highly enough!!

The Organic Mechanic has always provided honest and thorough service at reasonable prices. The office staff and the technicians are very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the issues and the repair plans with me, and gave cost quotes in advance. They email detailed reports with photos to keep records of the services performed as well as any other issues that need to be addressed. I highly recommend Organic Mechanic for repairs and maintenance - it's a great place to support a local business and to receive quality service!

I've found they always go above & beyond what I expect from a mechanic. My last visit was about checking over a used car I was thinking about buying - they suggested I stop looking at this brand of vehicle altogether. They then suggested a type that I had never heard of, based on their experience in it's reliability. They helped me look for the vehicle that would serve my needs better than what I had been looking at. I wound up buying one, and I'm really happy I went to them for advice. Thanks.

The staff is always quick to return calls, approachable, and patient to explain what's happening with our cars without being condescending when I don't immediately understand. I've been working with them on two different cars so far and they've been honest and dependable through fixes big and small. I trust their input and their work and nothing beats feeling safe while driving! Their work always comes with an email full of pictures of the car and thorough explanations and price quotes, as well as a warranty. Absolutely the best shop in Asheville. Thanks, guys!

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The work is completed on time as promised and is accompanied by an email of photos and comments that describe the condition on my car, which will be very helpful at resale as well as with comfort that all is thoroughly inspected and the vehicle is road-ready. It matters to me that the company pays a living wage to its employees as a matter of principle, so great service and integrity at a fair price keep me coming back!

I would be just as pleasant and friendly as Organic Mechanic if I was making a small fortune on parts alone. One glance over my girlfriend's itemized quote and we were on our merry way somewhere else. Nice people but extremely overpriced. Not sure being "Green" constitutes that high of a markup.

If ever have I actually liked getting my car worked on, it has been at The Organic Mechanic. To me, any efforts toward sustainability when talking about getting your car worked on, shows great integrity. This business is awesome and the people are great. Have had them do a couple jobs, couldn't be happier about it. They are super knowledgeable, thorough and really help me understand what is going on with my car. They got my business for life!

Got stuck in the middle of nowhere, NC while traveling for a backpacking trip because my friends alternator died. After calling around, we talked to the guys at Organic Mechanic and they said they had an open schedule and could have us back on the road in no time. We decided to get the vehicle towed to their shop and they decided it was going to be $475 to change the alternator after the inoperable truck was already in their garage. I'm no mechanic, but I've definitely changed an alternator in under an hour, and know the alternator itself only cost around $80 for that vehicle. The shop refused to work with us on price, and had we had the tools we would've just changed it ourselves. The truck being in the shop was the only thing keeping us from making it back to Pennsylvania, and when my friend called several times to check on the status of the truck about 45 minutes apart they would not answer the phone. I decided to call from my number and they picked up immediately. I'm not sure why they think they can charge such price for for such a minor repair. Maybe the mechanics are extremely incompetent, or the alternator itself is of the highest quality and wound with gold wire. This garage will take advantage of you, and will not talk to you if they feel "bothered" by your communication. Would not recommend. Terrible experience.

I work with a local non profit that rehabilitates donated vehicles for local families in need to transportation to work, Called Wheels4Hope, and Organic Mechanic has been with us from the beginning. Their highly detailed explanations of the work that needs to be completed to make a car safe and reliable has been instrumental in our success. They are not only thorough, they are honest, fair , and reasonably priced. I need to know when I place a family in a vehicle that they will have a safe and reliable vehicle for at least two years. With Organic Mechanic, I know this will be the case.
