This was an awesome place to stay, very Clean, and in a very good location. we rented a car, and wished we would not have wasted the money. It was within walking distance to the train station, and the bus station. Like a three minute walk. OLD Town was right across the street. great places.to eat, and fun to shop. We had an amazing time there.

Summary: Free parking (very few places have this in SD), Small Rooms good for crashing (no sprinklers/fire alarms in room), Free breakfast, terrible coffee, amazing staff, close to lots of shopping options but away from downtown and beaches. VERY CLOSE TO AIRPORT (like 10 minutes or less).

All stars are for cleanliness and kudos to the housekeeping staff who love to do their job. I stayed for 5 days and each day the room was as clean as day 1. Reception staff is great and interactive.

Rooms: I stayed in a queen bed room, had mini- microwave and mini-fridge, good sized TV and DVD player, a small dining table, iron and iron board. Overall, a tiny room but I liked it as a crashing place, not a place to unwind or relax.

Location: is definitely away from the happening part of the city. I was kind of scared to walk down the street to old town area because there were no street lights and I spotted a few homeless guys under the bridge when turning from Rosecrans St.

Breakfast: Usual items such as bagels, breads, fruits, waffle/pancake. They also have Quiche, cereals and Oats. The coffee is terrible.

Amenities: They have a huge DVD collection with some really nice movies. They also have a collection of books. There is a pool but is tiny. I don`t use it anyways, so didn`t bother me.

With such good things to say, why did I give 3 stars?

Safety: I noticed there are no sprinklers or fire alarms in the room I stayed. I could have asked to staff but I did not notice this until my last day there.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in mid-October. It is conveniently located, a short, safe walk to the Old Town area with several great restaurants and less than a 20 minute drive to the zoo, USS Midway, Coronado Island, Sea World, La Jolla Cove and Mission Beach. Our room was clean and reasonably priced for a king bed with sleeper sofa. Two sinks were a bonus at this price. Breakfast was good. Nothing fancy but enough to get through the morning.

Also the customer service was very helpful. My husband left his glasses and we did not realize it until we got home the next day. I contacted Old Town Inn on a Saturday. His glasses arrived on Monday.

Located across from Old Town, it's the perfect location. The rooms and surrounding areas are beautiful. It's hard to communicate with the housekeeping staff. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and coffee.

Excellent location for old town and train to centre. Very helpful friendly staff, nice feel to the place, old world charm despite being modern motel. Pool great, only issue was breakfast not quite as good as other places, weird breakfast quiche a no no.

Location is good. Our room was smaller and more ghetto than the rooms pictured on their website and yelp which was an unpleasant surprise. Breakfast ran out and my free breakfast consisted of 2 boiled eggs. Inn is simple and kind of bare bones but otherwise ok. No real issues, but will go somewhere nicer next time.

The location was central, and the price was fantastically inexpensive. Each and every staff member I interacted with was friendly, homey, with just the right touch of professionalism. We all felt welcomed here. Our rooms were quiet even though the hotel is just off the interstate. The beds comfortable and you couldn't ask for better amenities.

the room was reaply clean. The breakfast options very basic most breads like toast,bagels and pastries. Was hesitant about staying here based on its location and previous reviews. I'm pretty much rating it this based on cleanliness. If you are looking for a relaxing place where you can sit by the pool or walking around this is not the place. It really is away located and feels safe only within the hotel property.

This is my all time favourite hotel it's super cute I love that they have a variety of different rooms the Jacuzzi room is amazing!! The breakfast could use some work the waffles are a good touch just wish they would have some scrambled eggs. Seriously though if all I can complain of is the breakfast I will take it. I love the fact every room has a DVD player and that you can even check out movies.. I love love love this place me and my boyfriend go often and will continue to

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Town Inn as it is close to central, yet out of town feel. We enjoyed visiting Old Town on a previous visit, and thought it would be nice to stay near this quaint neighbourhood. The Inn was easy to get to by transit; as we took the bus from airport and then the Green line, with a short walk across the street to Old Town Inn! From there you can transit to most sights in San Diego!
The Inn itself was very clean, comfortable and friendly! Nice complimentary breakfast and good swim!
Very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff!

This is the best hotel! They really take care of you during your stay! The staff is friendly and helpful! The breakfast was amazing and included waffles, quiche and steel cut oats. The rooms were clean and well maintained! For families, there is a sink outside of the bathroom which is incredibly convenient! We'll definitely be coming back!

Great gem for first time visit to San Diego
Stayed here last week(Feb 29- Mar 4). Wife and I loved this place. We were looking for an off chain room centrally located for all the activities we had planned for the week. We were greeted daily by anyone we encountered who worked here. The breakfast every morning was a great addition for our stay when we didn't have a previous place scheduled to eat breakfast/brunch. Likely to stay here again the next chance we get to come to San Diego.

This family owned property was wonderful. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the landscapers, you can tell they take pride in this hotel. Convenient to the airport, old town, mission bay beach. The only con is that it's not in the best neighborhood. But the hotel is clean and secure. We will definitely be coming back
