This is a budget hotel closed to GWCC. It is very convenient for me. The room I stayed was 317. The first day I checked in, the room was not made up properly. I guessed that the previous guest was just left and the maid forgot to make up the room. There were somethings left in the bath room and the bedclothes were not in a good shape. I did not report to the front desk because it was late night. The following nights were OK. I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel staffs were helpful and most of them were friendly. There was no breakfast but had coffee all days.
The person at the front desk was amazing. He greeted me and was very nice. I have stayed here before in 2012. It is the best motel I have ever been to in my life.
Good location. Very nice staff. Room was good sized but utilitarian. If you are looking for no thrills reasonable priced place to stay while in downtown this place fits the bill.
Great location and the staff was so kind and hospitable!! The rooms were really clean and everything was completely functional. We also appreciated that they had hardwood floors and not carpet! Wonderful value
Would recommend! Was attending a work conference at the Hilton next door, chose this accommodation as it was walking distance still but much cheaper. I will chose it again!
The front desk people were so friendly. I am Canadian, and had issues with my credit card payment, so the front desk lady at check in let me use the phone and was super patient and friendly as I sorted this out. The gentleman at the front desk the other nights was so friendly as well. It was nice to have someone greet me so warmly after a long day of work as I passed through the lobby. He was also helpful in storing my luggage for my departure day and scheduling me a cab to get to the airport.
Floor wasn't clean in my room (my only complaint), but it wasn't enough to bother me as it was the only thing not up to top notch standards.
Excellent location for downtown Atlanta business. Right next to Enterprise Rent A Car and ~5 block from MARTA (all indoors if you use the skyways). Well kept. Hardwood floors in rooms means no stinky carpets. Floors could be mopped a bit more frequently, and the AC was noisier than I liked with my hearing aids in.
Didn't like the place. A bit dark with less lighting plus needs a bit more windows or glasses in corridor.
Room quality too could be improved. The charges are equal to some good hotels like Ramada. I stayed here for 1 hour but was charged for the whole day.
Frankly didn't liked the place.
Very close to the convention I was attending, clean and nice rooms, clean hallways. I love the hot water machine and vending. Staff was great (thanks Ben!).
However, I don't think it is fair at all that they were charging super high prices because of the convention (DragonCon). I shouldn't pay a similar price to stay at a Motel 6 to what others paid at the Hilton.
Room A/C worked great! Almost needed an extra blanket. Would have liked a few extra towels instead of having to exchange them and one towel had a small stain, but understandable during DragonCon. Ice maker on 3rd floor broken. Shower curtain had a few rips in it. Otherwise, room was clean, people were nice. Also good to see that security was being upgraded with new cameras. Convenient location.
Reserved my room ahead of time online to get my lower rate. On arrival, they would not accept my credit card that I used online because a visa travel card doesn't print out your name on the card, and their local policy is that the names have to match. I understand this is for their security, but a local policy like this should be noted online. Any of you who try to protect your main credit cards in dingy places like this by using travel money cards, be aware of this situation.
We came in from out of town, rented a king room online in advance for $110 for one night to see a show in Atlanta for our anniversary.
Front desk check-in was slow but friendly and helpful. No complaints.
To describe facilities: dingy room with non-working light switches, peeling paint, holes in the wall and dirty corners. The previous occupants left behind hair clips, a floss toothpick and a smeary brown stain on the bottom of the shower, all of which the motel cleaning staff decided to leave for us as well. Rooms are loud (we were on the non-highway side) and a bit dirty, in sore need of update and a good cleaning.
I haven't been to many motel 6's before but this one was a stain on the brand. I have told people before that usually you can go to a motel 6 and it's at least clean. I can't really comfortably suggest that anymore.
We couldn't have been more happy during our stay there. The staff was welcome and the location was perfect. We definitely liked the fact that the parking was free and that all interesting sights were within walking distance.
If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay right in the Atlanta area Motel 6 is it. It is just a motel none of the fancy stuff that the higher class hotels have. The best thing about it is it has free parking. A small lot at motel lever & an underground lot. I was told when I checked in that all other hotels charge $35 a night for parking. The rooms are are large, but just a normal sort of old-fashioned motel/hotel like they used to be years ago. Beds are comfortable, has a chair, & a desk area. It appears that they may need to replace the hot water heaters since the water did not get any more than luke warm. l thought it was me but my son was staying next door & said the same thing - his shower did not get hot.
The staff was great. Ben greeted us with a very friendly smile and have us information about dining and other questions we had. I'd recommend this location to anyone. The room was clean and pleasant.
I recently stayed at this location and I have to be honest, I was apprehensive and took along my own linens just in case. I was pleasantly surprised. Although the accommodations are modest and bare bones, they were well kept and clean. The location was ideal and the price was excellent. Use the stairs as the elevator is very sketchy. If you are only interested in having a decent place to sleep, this is a good choice.
Clean and comfortable. Very helpful and courteous desk staff. Was in Atlanta for the Hot Chocolate run and it was very convenient. Though it was a bit more than I would normally pay, still less than most. It did have covered parking and was close to restaurants. No breakfast but it did have coffee. The basic room had laminate flooring, which gave a clean feel. Clean sheets and towels, small staining on comforter. Basic hotel with good value for downtown Atlanta
