Extremely delicious food for a very good price. Too bad they're closed on Sundays.
They also have stamp cards which allow you to chose a gift after having it filled out.
Eating delicious food and getting a gift for it, why not.

Always such a pleasure to be visiting Mitsuwa. My favorites are the matcha ice cream store and the store full of surprises right next to Royce chocolate store. That corner store sells all kinds of cute accessories for your car. My favorite item in the store is the BMW motorcycle miniatures! Especially the white ones :) I always bring my favorite guests to Mitsuwa when it is their first time visiting New Jersey.

Large selection of Japanese food products. The place is clean and their produce are pretty fresh. They are pretty up to date with the things in Japan as well. There's an aisle that sells variety of sake at a great price! I usually go there to purchase sake that are hard to find in a regular liquor store.

Love the fresh fruit and vegetables. It cost a little bit more but you get what you pay for. No bruises on the fruits of vegetables. Kits a Japanese products. Live their shampoos and refill bodwashes. I live their bakery. Lots of fresh bread and pastries. Live the politeness if the cashiers who also know how to pack a bag.

This place is gone down hill big time. This supermarket/ food court was the place to be 10 years ago. It was very strict with all staff being of Japanese decent back then. Though that way of running a business is "not ok" and totally illegal, they have now adapted with the times. Unfortunately, this place has lost its Japanese charm in attention to detail, traditional mannerisms, overall quality, and it's food courts meals just simply not as good anymore. The prices were always pretty high here at the food court but I was happy to spend it for the food I received years ago..not so much anymore. This place still has amazing black sesame ice cream though.

Pretty awesome place that serves Japanese delights and goods. Minus parking, waiting, and seating, it is the place to be if you want to get your grub on and shop. Stop by the dessert area and relax with water views all in one stop.

Best Japanese supermarket!
Since we don't live in NJ anymore, it is not easy for us to commute there, but once in awhile we still go there. Everything is perfect. Food court has such a high quality, grocery is cheaper than other japanese stores and of course there are variety of products there. Book store is especially amazing!

Classic Japanese supermarket which has now become an icon among the locals as far away as NYC and Long Island. The food court with it's long lines on weekends and holidays and the quest to find a table to sit and eat at the food court is a familiar struggle. I think if they added more seating for the food court, I would give them 5 stars. The quality of food and groceries is great. The seasonal food fairs and annual dance festival are very enjoyable.

This is a very nice place to eat, walk around outside. Its grocery section has a very good inventory of sake, stocking bottles of at least half of my favorites. Their grocery section is primarily Japanese, mind you, so if you want a more general Asian market, go to an H-Mart, but there are things you'll find here that you won't find at H-Mart (and vice-versa). Maybe a bit out of the way for me, but still worth going from time to time.

I love this Mitsuwa because it has a lot of great food place and the supermarket is relatively big. This one is also one of the only main Japanese supermarkets in the area, and compared to their San Jose location, is huge in comparison. Make sure to check out the side stores as well!

My wife and I have been going to Mitswua Market for years now. Friendly helpful folks such as Alicia. Delicious, freshly made food and an enormous selection of Japanese products. We enjoy and love this market.

Fantastic grocery store/lunch spot that has some of the most authentic Japanese food in the area. Everyone knows this is THE spot for lunch so as soon as the food stalls open at 11 am the place gets crowded. Parking can be difficult to find if you come during the lunch rush which can last until 3 pm. They have all sorts of delicious food and often host festivals which highlight an area of Japan and the traditional food! Highly recommend to everyone

Absolutely incredible! I travel about 3 hours out of my way to get here and it's worth it all the time! The grocery store and the cafes have a great selection of authentic Japanese foods, plus the stores right outside the market have some really cool books, toy and other Japanese trinkets! The only problem I have is the parking lot, usually full but worth the wait!

The only Japanese shopping center of this size on the east coast. Many items to choose from and all the popular brands from Japan. Produce is always fresh. Extremely fresh seafood for sashimi as well as a large assortment of seafood for cooking. Fresh meat all the time. Liquor selection is very good. Food court offers many choices if you get hungry while shopping. Mars NYC gift shop is in the adjacent building at the plaza and has many different items to choose from. Plan to spend at least a couple hours here.

Have you been to Japan? Ever wonder what it would be like? Go to Mitsuwa, is about as Japanese an experience as your going to get. Be brave, I promise you the food is delicious. Most restaurants have good models with names and corresponding numbers. Feel free to tell the clerk what number item you want. Almost everyone steaks English so don't be shy about asking questions. Stroll through the grocery store and cross the drive way to the book store.
